Live Report of WWE SmackDown March 27, 2026

WWE SmackDown starts on Netflix!

We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists at the venue: The Bella Twins, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss, Giulia, Kiana James, Tiffany Stratton, Kit Wilson, and Jelly Roll.

A video summary of Randy Orton's promo and subsequent attack on Matt Cardona is shown.

"The Viper" is in charge of opening tonight's show. Orton heads towards the ring as fans sing his theme "Voices". Randy poses in one of the corners before taking a microphone. Orton recalls what happened two weeks ago with Cody Rhodes. How he asked him to bring "the best version of Randy Orton" to WrestleMania, and how he advised him to listen to the voices in his head. "The thing is, I silenced them a long, long time ago", he says. Orton also acknowledges that in recent years he has thought a lot about the number fifteen, about his legacy. "I've thought a lot about my fifteenth world championship", he says. "And then, Cody, out of nowhere, gives me his blessing. Now that I hear those voices in my head again, I have to let everyone know that I won't be responsible for what happens next", he states. Randy points out that the voices in his head are not the problem, but the voices of the fans. "They are the voices of everyone else. The voices outside my head. That's the problem. But there is one voice. There is a person who has entered my ear. There is a person outside my head whose voice I am hearing", he says. Suddenly....

Matt Cardona interrupts the promo!

Randy orders production to stop Cardona's music, who advances towards the ring with a microphone in hand. Furious, Orton threatens to break his other arm if he continues his path. Matt enters the ring and, without a word, hits "The Viper" in the head with the microphone. Randy ends up at ringside. Cardona challenges him to come back, but Orton is unable to stand up. Two referees approach the place to prevent further harm. This is how we reach the end of the first segment of the night.

Trick Williams approaches Nick Aldis backstage. The General Manager admits that Williams has surprised him. And not only him, but also the fans. That's why he will reward him with a match at WrestleMania. Excited, Trick wants to share the great news with his loved ones, like his mother and Lash Legend. Sami Zayn appears on the scene. Williams quickly informs him of the news. This leads Zayn to ask Aldis about his situation for the big event. However, the General Manager regrets having to tell him that there is no room for him on the card. Crestfallen, Sami begins to walk away from the place. Meanwhile, Williams continues to talk with Aldis to plan his stay in Las Vegas. Suddenly, Zayn returns to them. Trick mocks the Canadian, pointing him towards the exit of the venue. Without a word, Sami knocks him out with a right hook. Aldis separates Zayn from Williams. "I'll have a match at WrestleMania. Just watch", says Sami to the General Manager before leaving.

A furious Randy Orton approaches Nick Aldis to demand that he schedule a match against Matt Cardona for tonight. Aldis refuses, reminding him that Cardona has a damaged arm. "I'm the one who broke it!", exclaims "The Viper". He warns the General Manager that he will not be responsible for his actions if the match does not take place. Aldis agrees to his request, but advises him to find a quiet place to relax until then.

The Irresistible Forces (Lash Legend and Nia Jax) come out before the first match of the night. Nia advises the fans to buy their tickets for next Monday's WWE Raw show, where they will defeat Bayley and Lyra Valkyria to retain their Women's WWE Tag Team Championships. Meanwhile, tonight they will watch two other teams that also have their sights set on their belts. That said, Jax and Legend take a seat at the commentary table.

Tag Team Match
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs. The Bella Twins (Brie Bella and Nikki Bella)

Flair and Nikki start the match. Charlotte takes down Nikki before leading her to one of the corners. Flair kicks both opponents, but they end up taking control. Charlotte tags in Bliss to assist her with a dropkick against Brie. The Bella Twins surprise Alexa, who ends up immobilized on the ring apron. Brie and Nikki hit her at will, leading Flair to approach the area. The referee intervenes to restore order.

Nikki throws Alexa into Nia and Lash before bringing her back into the ring. The Bella Twins continue to dominate the match. Brie traps Bliss in a painful submission hold. Nikki gets the tag to continue damaging Alexa's left arm. Brie and Nikki combine once again against Bliss. Brie takes her opponent to one of the corners, where she unleashes a flurry of kicks. "YES, YES", chant the fans.

Bliss tries to escape from her opponents, but Nikki prevents it with a spinebuster. Nikki hits Charlotte in her own corner before returning for Bliss. Nikki and Brie continue to dominate the match. Alexa blocks a double suplex to execute a double DDT. Charlotte gets the tag to launch with a diving crossbody on her two rivals. Flair delivers chops left and right before taking down Nikki with a handspring clothesline.

Flair applies a suplex to each of her rivals before tagging in Bliss, who finishes off Nikki with a spinning neckbreaker. 1..2..NO. Brie interrupts the count. The Bella Twins execute a combined attack (spinebuster + clothesline) on Alexa. 1..2..NO. Now Charlotte interrupts the count. Alexa and Brie exchange roll-ups. Suddenly, Lash approaches the ring to throw a right hook at Bliss, who can do nothing to escape a new roll-up by Brie. 1..2..3.

Winners: The Bella Twins

Charlotte approaches Brie and Nikki to reproach them for taking advantage of what happened. Suddenly, The Irresistible Forces burst into the ring to attack the four women. Lash and Nia try to execute their combined finisher on Alexa, but...

Bayley and Lyra Valkyria burst onto the scene!

The Raw talents enter the ring to launch an assault on Jax and Legend. Lyra and Bayley get rid of Jax with a stereo dropkick. After that, they try to expel Lash from the ring. Charlotte and Brie join them to achieve it. Flair thanks Lyra and Bayley for their help, but not Brie, whom she doesn't hesitate to push. Charlotte and Alexa leave the ring to end the segment.

Damian Priest approaches R-Truth, who is talking to an architect. The Puerto Rican asks him what he is doing, and R-Truth responds that he is planning the construction of a new "house" for The Judgment Day. Priest reminds him that they are no longer part of the faction. At that moment, Jelly Roll joins them to congratulate them on their title victory last week. However, R-Truth mistakes him for Dominik Mysterio. Roll tries to explain that he is mistaken, but it is an impossible mission. Rhea Ripley appears on the scene. "I knew it! Dom and Mommy are back. Liv better not find out about this," says R-Truth. The Australian doesn't understand. Roll, on the other hand, wants her to know that no matter how strong Jade Cargill is, she is Rhea Ripley. "If there's someone who deserves to get their butt kicked, it's Jade Cargill. And I'm sure Rhea Ripley is going to do it at WrestleMania!", he exclaims. That said, he remembers that he has a match tonight, so he leaves to prepare. R-Truth doesn't take long to go after him. "Hey, Dom, wait!" he shouts as he runs after him. Once alone, Rhea congratulates Damian on his tag team championship. Priest thanks her for her words, hoping that she will also add gold to her waist soon. They say goodbye to end the segment.

Tiffany Stratton stars in a new "NXT Origins" video.

The Bella Twins approach Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss backstage. "Excuse me, what were you thinking?", Nikki reproaches Flair. "NO. What were you thinking taking advantage of someone who has just been hit in the face?", Alexa immediately responds. Charlotte adds that Brie and Nikki wouldn't have had a chance against them if it weren't for Lash and Nia. "So go back to the end of the line," she says. Brie makes it clear that they had nothing to do with what happened. Nikki, on the other hand, reminds them that they returned to WWE to become champions, and they will do whatever it takes to achieve it. "This is not over," says Alexa before taking off Brie's shirt. Bliss throws it in her face as she leaves with Charlotte. This is how we reach the end of this segment.

THIS IS MY BRUTALITY!

Rhea Ripley makes her entrance in the ring. The fans welcome her with a great ovation. "Rhea, Rhea!" chants the audience. Ripley assures that she already expected Jade Cargill not to behave like an honest woman. What she didn't expect was for B-Fab and Michin to stoop to her level. But she doesn't care because she will go over anyone who gets in her way to WrestleMania. That said, she claims to be ready to fight, so she invites either of them to step into the ring and face her.

Jade Cargill appears on the entrance ramp. Michin and B-Fab quickly join her. B-Fab hands a microphone to the WWE Women's Champion. "You sound very clever for someone who got beaten up last week," says "The Storm". The fans boo her. "Do you think we care?", she asks the fans. "They didn't join me. They put themselves in a position of power", she tells Ripley. B-Fab reminds Rhea of her words just a few minutes ago, where she declared that she would end anyone who stood in her way. "I already knew it. You are a selfish traitor. You don't care who should sacrifice, or who should do the work, as long as you are the one who gets the reward", says B-Fab. The fans continue to boo. "I've been fighting tirelessly for decades, just like you. We've worked hard like you. And you get all the love and attention while we are the forgotten ones? No, no, no. We are tired of this," says Michin. "Jade had a plan, and we took the opportunity. Why wouldn't we? She has the gold. She has the power. And with Jade, at least, what you see is what you get", says B-Fab.

Cargill informs Ripley that she has already spoken with Nick Aldis, and tonight she will be able to face B-Fab. This way, she can learn something. Rhea makes it clear that it will be Jade who learns something tonight. "What I'm going to teach B-Fab tonight is what you will learn at WrestleMania: that actions have consequences. You can't protect her from everything, and she will quickly realize that I am something you can't protect her from", says the Australian. Rhea calls for a referee to start the match.

Rhea Ripley vs. B-Fab (with Jade Cargill and Michin)

Ripley quickly takes the lead. The Australian knocks down B-Fab before kicking her with a dropkick. Jade climbs onto the apron to provoke the Australian, but the referee steps between them. The official continues to argue with Cargill while Michin tries to grab one of Rhea's legs. She punches B-Fab before going after Michin, whom she knocks out with a superkick.

Ripley continues her path towards Jade. B-Fab tries to surprise Rhea from behind, but the Australian hits her with a headbutt. Cargill takes advantage of the situation to catch "Mami" and throw her against the metal stairs. The referee orders the bell to ring.

Winner by disqualification: Rhea Ripley

Cargill continues to attack Rhea before taking her inside the ring. Ripley manages to recover to surprise the WWE Women's Champion. Rhea prepares her for a Riptide, but B-Fab and Michin return just in time to prevent it. Both women continue to attack the Australian, who ends up receiving a Jaded. Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin pose over their victim to end the segment.

We move backstage, where Kit Wilson talks with The Miz. The Brit thanks him for his advice from last week, pointing out that everything went perfectly. That's why he would like to have him in his corner tonight. The Miz replies that he can't, as he stepped on gum with his shoe. The Miz assures him that he can do it without his help. He just has to follow the method he has already started to apply. Meanwhile, he will look for a safe place where he can watch the match. Kit doesn't believe that The Miz's bad luck is due to a curse. The Miz doesn't believe it either. "A curse is when lightning strikes you from the sky, not when you step on gum or when your suitcases end up in Romania or when your phone falls into the toilet", says The Miz. He goes over his triple method with Wilson once again before leaving.

Danhausen appears out of nowhere with Wilson to ask for advice. He doesn't understand why The Miz prefers the British man over him to be his mentor. "¡Wake up, Danhausen! I'm handsome. I fit the role. You are tox...", he says before being interrupted. "¡Silence!", exclaims Danhausen. "¡You... are... cursed!", he adds before disappearing.

We see a video summary of the fierce rivalry between Drew McIntyre and Jacob Fatu, which ended with both falling from several meters high during their last altercation.

A bandaged and sore McIntyre is interviewed by Cathy Kelley. The Scotsman admits that he is still battered from what happened last week. Today he didn't come with the intention to fight, but if Fatu has other plans, he won't hesitate to respond, as the Samoan has taken everything from him. "A man is most dangerous when he has nothing to lose", he says to end the interview.

Jelly Roll vs. Kit Wilson

Wilson takes a microphone before entering the ring. With a poetry book in his hands, the Brit points out that before fighting, he must defend the honor of his mother, tarnished last week by Roll. That said, he proceeds to read the poem he has written for this occasion.

"You tell lies, Mr. Roll, about your little thing and your belly.

You falsely claimed that you knew my mother, but she would never choose you as a lover.

Seeing you naked is far from being erotic. My mother says you are TOXIC", exclaims Wilson.

Jelly shoves Kit, causing his microphone to fall to the floor. Wilson attacks the singer from behind. Kit continues attacking him in one of the corners until the referee intervenes. The official asks Roll if he’s ready to fight. Jelly says yes. The match officially begins, with Wilson charging at Jelly in the corner. Roll recovers to deliver two consecutive Electric Chair moves on Kit. He tries to recover, but his rival knocks him out of the ring with a clothesline. “Jelly Roll, Jelly Roll!” the fans chant.

Kit brings his poetry book into the ring, forcing the referee to take it away. The Brit takes advantage of the distraction to surprise Roll, crushing him in one of the corners. Kit continues attacking Jelly. Wilson takes him to another corner to charge with a corner elbow. Roll dodges and responds with a belly-to-belly. Both men are left laid out on the mat.

Wilson and Roll exchange punches. Jelly takes the upper hand. Kit blocks a chokeslam and kicks Roll. Wilson climbs up high to launch himself at Jelly, but Jelly reverses it into a scoop powerslam! 1..2..NO. Roll grabs Kit’s poetry book, trying to use it as a weapon. The Brit dodges and responds with a spinning facebreaker. 1..2..NO. Wilson can’t believe it. Jelly blocks a spinning neckbreaker and shoves his opponent into one of the corners. After that, he finishes him with a chokeslam. 1..2..3.

Winner: Jelly Roll

Roll goes to the front row to find his son and celebrate the victory with him. Both head backstage, bringing this segment to an end.

We see a recap video of the main segment from last week’s episode of WWE Raw.

Solo Sikoa talks with his MFT teammates backstage. Solo assures them that everything he does for this family is out of love, and that he’s only tough on them because he knows how great they can be. “My job is to lead this family, but I can’t do it if we’re not all on the same page”, he says. Sikoa also admits he went too far last week, which is why he wants to apologize. “Do you know who would never have apologized? Roman”, he says before walking off. The rest of MFT follows him, except for Tama Tonga, who notices Carmelo Hayes. Hayes asks when he’ll start forging his own path instead of taking orders from Solo. He reminds him that he’s about to head out to issue his United States Championship open challenge and will be waiting if he chooses to accept. Melo leaves. Shinsuke Nakamura appears. “Will you face Carmelo Hayes or keep following Solo?”, the Japanese star asks. Talla Tonga approaches Tama. “Everything okay?” he asks. “Yeah, everything’s fine,” Tama replies before leaving. Talla and Nakamura exchange looks. Talla leaves to follow his teammate. And that brings this segment to an end.

Carmelo Hayes makes his entrance to issue his open challenge.

Sami Zayn answers the challenge!

Trick Williams makes his entrance to watch the match from the commentary table.

Sami disposes of Trick and finishes Hayes with a Helluva Kick. 1..2..3.

Winner and NEW United States Champion: SAMI ZAYN

Zayn poses with the title as the segment comes to an end.

Cathy Kelley interviews an injured Jacob Fatu backstage. The Samoan makes it clear he didn’t come to fight, but to talk—and he’ll do it in the ring. Fatu heads to the ring as the segment ends.

We see several Pittsburgh Steelers players in the front row.

Sami Zayn is congratulated backstage. He approaches Nick Aldis and asks if he now has a WrestleMania spot with his new title. “First, congratulations. Second, yes—you have a match at WrestleMania. Sami, you will defend the United States Championship at WrestleMania against Trick Williams,” says the General Manager before leaving. “Wonderful,” Zayn replies.

Jacob Fatu makes his entrance. “Fatu! Fatu!” chant the fans. He admits he’s physically wrecked, all because of Drew McIntyre. “What the hell is wrong with you?” he asks. “You tried to end me. You tried to end my career. You tried to take food off my kids’ table, Drew!” he shouts. He asks if Drew really thought throwing him into a windshield or off a building would finish him. “Of course not!” he yells. “Hey Drew—you did all that, but I’m still standing. I’m still here, and as long as I have air in my lungs, I’ll kick your ass every week.”

Drew McIntyre appears on the stage!

McIntyre calls Jacob out for playing the victim, saying he’s the real one who’s suffered. “You started all this when you accused me of a crime I didn’t commit—because I’m Drew McIntyre. I’m always guilty until proven innocent.” Fatu, on the other hand, will always be guilty because he’s a criminal. That’s why he went to prison—and since getting out, he’s kept stealing. “You stole my title. You took WrestleMania from me. You took everything!” he shouts. “You talk about food for your family—that’s my food! Look me in the eyes, Jacob. Look at me, because I mean this from the bottom of my heart: TO HELL WITH YOUR KIDS!

Furious, Jacob moves toward him, but Nick Aldis appears. The GM says they’re not medically cleared to fight tonight, but they will be ready for April 18 at WrestleMania, where they’ll face each other. However, since they’ve become a problem, WWE won’t be responsible. “There will be no disqualifications or count outs. The referee is only there to count to three or call a submission. There will be a winner—because your match will be an Unsanctioned Match.” McIntyre laughs and heads backstage.

Jelly Roll approaches Matt Cardona backstage. He apologizes for last week but reminds him that the Randy Orton they know isn’t the one they’ve seen lately. Cardona has known him a long time, just like Cody Rhodes, who is on his way. He suggests talking to Orton. Matt says if Jelly wants to talk, fine—but he wants to fight. “Tonight I want to kick Randy’s ass.” “Alright, man. I’ll pray for you,” Jelly replies. Aleister Black and Zelina appear, questioning why Cardona would face someone he can’t beat. “If Randy didn’t hear voices in his head, maybe you’d have a chance—but now… well.”

Chelsea Green approaches Tiffany Stratton. Tiffany tries to push her wheelchair, but Chelsea stops her—she just wants to talk. Alba Fyre joins them. Chelsea suggests Tiffany could use a two-time United States Champion by her side. “You’re right—you were champion twice, which means you lost it twice. So thanks, but no thanks.”

We see Randy Orton on the phone. “Yeah, I appreciate it. See you soon,” he says.

A recap airs of the rivalry between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar.

Randy Orton vs. Matt Cardona

Cardona storms into the ring, where Randy greets him with a barrage of kicks. The referee rings the bell. Furious, Matt manages to back Orton into one of the corners and unload on him relentlessly. Orton escapes to ringside. Cardona follows, but quickly falls into the clutches of "The Viper." Orton grabs Matt and drops him onto the announce table. Randy focuses his attack on Cardona’s left arm—the same one he injured last week.

Matt returns to the ring, where he manages to surprise Orton with a Rough Ryder. 1..2..NO. Randy heads up the entrance ramp. Seemingly disoriented, "The Viper" teases heading backstage. Matt follows, only to fall into his trap. Orton shoves Cardona into one of the ring posts. After that, he smashes his left arm against the steel steps.

Randy brings him back into the ring. Orton throws Matt into one of the posts before continuing to target his left arm. Randy hits a suplex on Cardona. After that, he repeatedly stomps on his left hand. Orton sends Matt into another post. Randy keeps damaging his opponent’s hand before finishing him with an RKO. “One More Time!” the fans chant. However, Orton chooses to cover him. 1..2..3.

Winner: Randy Orton

The referee raises Orton’s arm, at which point Cody Rhodes’ bus arrives at the arena. “The American Nightmare” steps out of the vehicle and heads inside. Two security guards stop him, but he shoves them aside. Rhodes continues until he runs into Jelly Roll, whom he quickly greets. Roll reminds him that Randy is still his friend. “Hey, he’s your guy. He’s your guy,” says the singer. Cody continues on his way. Meanwhile, two security guards stand in front of Orton, who takes them both out just before Rhodes appears on the entrance ramp.

Nick Aldis comes out accompanied by numerous security members. The General Manager tries to convince “The American Nightmare” not to enter the ring, but the Undisputed WWE Champion ignores him. Cody steps onto the apron and, after a moment, enters the ring to go after Randy. Security intervenes, but they are unable to keep the two men apart.

Rhodes smashes a steel chair into Randy’s head. After that, he drives his fingers into “The Viper’s” eyes while placing him on the announce table. Rhodes continues attacking Orton as he brings him back into the ring. A swarm of officials and security members separates them. Randy heads to ringside, where he takes out several people, including a referee. Cody goes after Orton again. Once more, he targets his eyes before throwing punches on the announce table.

The fight returns to the ring, where security must intervene again. Rhodes breaks free to launch himself at “The Viper,” who quickly does the same. Jelly Roll appears to try to reason with both men. Randy breaks free from security to hit Roll with an RKO. After that, he leaves the ring. Randy heads up the entrance ramp with a smile on his face. Cody checks on Jelly as the show comes to an end.
