The Bloodsport XV card, the GCW event produced by Josh Barnett that will take place during WrestleMania 42 weekend, has continued to add matches in the last week. This afternoon, Barnett announced through his social media the ninth match, where Miyu Yamashita will face Janai Kai.
"This match features two prolific fighters, with two different styles: karate and taekwondo. Thunderous kicks. Devastating punches. Knees. Elbows. Their bodies are weapons and the target is anything that stands in their way. Miyu Yamashita vs. Janai Kai. Only at Josh Barnett's: Bloodsport XV," wrote the wrestler and promoter.
This will be Yamashita's third participation in Bloodsport, where she holds a losing streak of 0-2. The Japanese fighter lost by technical knockout to Shayna Baszler in edition XI and to Nattie in edition XIII. Interestingly, both women will face each other in the show on April 17.
On the other hand, Janai Kai is entering her fifth participation, with a losing streak of 1-3. The independent wrestler lost her first three matches (Bloodsport 6, 8, and X) to finally get her first victory in the last edition of the event. On that occasion, she defeated Jordan Blade by referee decision.
This won't be the first time Kai and Yamashita compete in an individual match. Both women have faced each other twice in the independent scene, and both ended with the same result: a victory for Kai. The Japanese fighter will try to break this double losing streak on the most special weekend of the year.
