Queen Aminata suffered a neck injury last October, which prevented her from participating in the first-ever women’s Blood and Guts match. Six months later, the wrestler is still recovering from an issue that pushed her to the limit both physically and mentally. Fortunately, the Guinean star has already gotten through the worst of it, as she explained in a recent update on her social media.
“5 months ago, I could barely walk without pain. Training was impossible. Sleep was miserable. My neck and spine were on fire… but the hardest battle was mental. Today, I’m moving again. Pain free. Time to rebuild”, she wrote on her X account.
Three months after her injury, the wrestler was given permission by doctors to return to training. Since then, she has not stopped exercising while her neck continued to recover. At the moment, Aminata does not have medical clearance to compete, but her return to the ring seems closer than ever.
Queen Aminata made her professional wrestling debut in 2017, taking her first steps in the independent scene. In 2021, she began working for All Elite Wrestling as a recurring talent on the now-defunct AEW Dark and Dark: Elevation shows. Gradually, Aminata gained more importance until she was finally signed in February 2024. Since then, the wrestler has participated in numerous company shows, and has even received several title opportunities. However, she has not yet managed to win her first championship in the company.
