Mercedes Moné continues her negative streak in the independent scene, where she has not stopped losing championships in recent weeks. Last night, "The CEO" lost her eighth consecutive title at the WPW Fight At The Museum event held in Winnipeg, Canada. Mercedes put her promotion's women's championship on the line against Jody Threat, who ended up taking the victory and the belt.
Her defeat last night came just two days after losing the PTW Women's Championship at the event More Moné, More Problems that Prime Time Wrestling held in Koslow, Upper Silesia, Poland, last weekend. On this occasion, the AEW star defended the championship against Diana Strong, the same woman she defeated last July to win this belt.
Thus, Moné now holds two championships out of the thirteen she once simultaneously held at the end of last year. She currently retains the APAC Wrestling Women's Championship (Malaysia), in addition to the Owen Hart Foundation Women's Championship, which is practically a trophy that is not defended.
Based on what we have seen in recent weeks, it is expected that Moné will end up losing the APAC Wrestling championship before returning to All Elite Wrestling's television programming. It is worth noting that the wrestler announced she would take a break from the company before returning with a very clear message: she will come back to collect more than just championships.
