Wrestlevotes Radio, through Fightful Select, has revealed that Mattel has been given the green light to produce several official Lucha Libre AAA action figures. This will be a new line focused on the talent of the Mexican company, aimed at both AAA fans and regular wrestling figure collectors.

As part of this agreement, the first wrestler to be prioritized for a figure is Mr. Iguana, one of the most striking and charismatic characters in AAA, known for his laid-back style and for always being accompanied by his iconic plush iguana.

Mr. Iguana, a strong bet in merchandising

The current plan is for the first AAA figures produced by Mattel to hit the market in fall 2026, if the usual design, approval, and manufacturing timelines are met. The idea is for this initial release to serve as a test to later expand the collection with more names from the company.

Mr. Iguana has already proven to be a safe bet in official products thanks to t-shirts, masks, and toys that perform very well with the public. With a Mattel figure on the way, AAA and the wrestler himself further strengthen their presence in the merchandising field.
