All Elite Wrestling will be losing two of its talents due to injury for an indefinite period of time. We are talking about Kyle Fletcher and Marq Quen, whose injuries were confirmed by the company in the most recent episode of AEW Collision. This afternoon, the specialized media outlet Fightful has revealed more information about it.
"In Quen's case, an AEW source hinted that he suffered some kind of tear, while another claimed that he will be out for a considerable period. This happened just as Private Party was returning after over a year of absence," the outlet wrote.
"The bad news kept coming, unfortunately. It is suspected that Kyle Fletcher suffered a meniscus injury that will keep him away from the ring for quite some time. We have also been informed that he suffered additional injuries that could further extend his time out of action," the report concluded.
Fletcher's injury comes at the worst possible time, with the Australian established as one of the company's most prominent talents. His meniscus injury occurred during his tag team match against The Rascalz on the March 28th episode of AEW Collision. Fletcher is the current TNT Champion of the company. Considering similar cases in the past, it is expected that an interim champion will be crowned in the coming weeks.
Quen, on the other hand, had just returned to television programming after over a year of absence. Last week, Isiah Cassidy, his tag team partner, delivered a backstage promo confirming Quen's absence and announcing that he will be competing solo from now on with the goal of winning gold.
