Live Report WWE NXT April 7, 2026

The show kicks off with Tony D'Angelo in the center of the ring, receiving a huge ovation of "you deserve it." With the championship on his shoulder, "The Don" makes it clear that he is finally the man of the brand and boasts his historic achievement: being the first Grand Slam Champion in NXT history. Tony assures that he has an iron grip on the title and that no one, not Joe Hendry nor Ethan Page, will be able to take it away from him.

The celebration doesn't last long, as Joe Hendry appears to congratulate him, although he clarifies that Tony was only the best "for one night." Tension rises when Ethan Page and Ricky Saints interrupt to insult the champion, but just before they come to blows, DarkState jumps from the crowd and attacks them treacherously. Unleashing a chaotic brawl at ringside that forces the broadcast to go to commercials.

After the chaos, the four wrestlers end up backstage blaming Robert Stone for the lack of security. To restore order, Stone makes a decision and confirms that tonight Tony D'Angelo's team, Joe Hendry, Ethan Page, and Ricky Saints, will have to join forces to face the members of DarkState.

Sol Ruca vs. Izzi Dame (with The Culling)

The match starts with a lot of agility from Sol Ruca, who hits a corkscrew tornillo splash outside the ring just before the commercial break. Upon returning from the break, Sol maintains control and surprises with a strong Buckshot Lariat. The match evens out when Izzi Dame responds with a super codebreaker from the top rope, leaving both close to victory.

In the final moments, Niko Vance intervenes to remove Izzi from Sol's path as she was going for a moonsault. At that moment, Zaria appears out of nowhere and spears Ruca brutally at ringside. Izzi gets Sol back in the ring and finishes her off with a Liger Bomb to secure the three count.

Winner: Izzi Dame

After the match, Zaria confronts Sol Ruca, shouting that she is the one who decides when this ends.

Vanity Project appears in Robert Stone's office alongside Blake Monroe. The group surprises everyone by giving Monroe a replica of the Women's North American Championship, something that doesn't sit well with Stone.

In response, Robert Stone decides to bring order and arranges a mixed tag team match for tonight against Tatum Paxley and Shiloh Hill. Stone gives Monroe the opportunity to choose any member of The Vanity Project as her partner, and she chooses Jackson Drake.

In the NXT locker room, we see Elio Lefleur with his arm in a sling alongside Dorian Van Dux and EK Prosper. Van Dux takes the opportunity to thank Lefleur for the chance he gave him, but Prosper stops him in his tracks. He makes it clear that he shouldn't celebrate victory so quickly because before anything else, Van Dux will have to go through him and defeat him in the ring.

Keanu Carver vs. Josh Briggs vs. Jasper Troy

The match begins with Jasper Troy being taken out of the equation as soon as the bell rings, allowing Josh Briggs and Keanu Carver to go at it in the center of the ring. Briggs takes control with a side slam and a splash that nearly secures the victory. After a few moments, Troy returns to the ring and dominates both to regain ground. In a combined move, Briggs and Carver deliver a chokeslam to Troy, but the truce is short-lived: Carver lands a right hand on Briggs and goes for the pin on Troy, although Briggs manages to break it in time.

Carver then removes Troy from the ring again to focus on Briggs with a short-arm clothesline and a series of stomps in the corner. When Troy tries to return, Carver greets him with a boot to the face and slams him against the ring apron. Back in the ring, Briggs surprises Carver with a big boot, but Carver responds by launching Briggs into the air with an impact before the action moves outside the ring for a commercial break.

Upon returning, Carver lands blows on both opponents, but Briggs manages to take down Troy with a cross-body, Carver stops him with a running powerslam and then throws Briggs into Troy before the fight spills outside the ring for another commercial break.

When they return, Carver exchanges punches with both opponents, but Briggs manages to knock down Troy with a cross-body, Carver stops him with a running powerslam and then throws Briggs into Troy before the fight spills outside the ring for another commercial break.

In the final moments, Briggs and Carver trade blows, and as Briggs tries to gain momentum on the ropes, Troy reappears to block him and attempt a chokeslam. At that moment, Carver enters with a pounce that sends Troy out of the ring. Without wasting a second, Carver delivers another pounce to Briggs and finishes him off with his finisher to secure the three count.

Winner: Keanu Carver

Backstage, Tatum Paxley is seen talking with Shiloh Hill until Ricky Saints approaches to question them about their strange behavior. They mock him, and Holland ends up calling them "freaks" before walking away.

Joe Hendry, Ricky Saints, Ethan Page, and Tony D'Angelo vs. DarkState (Dion Lennox, Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, and Osiris Griffin)

The referee tries to restore order, but D'Angelo immediately launches himself at DarkState, and the bell rings amidst the chaos. Initially, DarkState manages to isolate Tony in their corner, punishing him with quick tags among the four. After much effort, D'Angelo manages to dominate Lennox and looks for the tag with Hendry, but Ethan Page interferes and although he manages to execute a suplex, tension in their team increases when Ricky Saints steals the tag, sparking a heated argument between them that DarkState takes advantage of to isolate Saints.

Ricky manages to slip away and tags in Joe Hendry, who lifts James in a flag suplex; the audience counts to sixteen before he completes the move. Later, Saints re-enters and dominates Cutler, walking the ropes to connect a knee strike. Page and Saints seem to reconcile for a moment by executing a combined suplex, but their joy is short-lived when the DarkState members regain control, and the match goes to commercials.

Upon returning, Hendry is taking a beating from DarkState. While desperately seeking the tag, Ethan Page and Ricky Saints stand idly in the corner showing no interest in entering the match. Joe manages to defend himself with punches, but James stops him with a backbreaker. The match spirals out of control with everyone in the ring, and just as Lennox lands an illegal blow on Hendry, Myles Borne appears from the crowd to attack Lennox.

In the final moments, Tony recovers and enters the fray, delivering German suplexes to everyone. Page and Saints team up to eliminate Griffin, while the action becomes total chaos. Hendry dives with a plancha onto the DarkState members outside the ring. D'Angelo has Shugars set up for his finisher to win, but Ethan steals the tag again, hits his Twisted Grin, and secures the three count. Page celebrates with his music, but Tony D'Angelo, furious, returns to the ring and lays him out with a chokeslam.

Winners: Ethan Page, Tony D'Angelo, Joe Hendry, and Ricky Saints

Speed Championship Tournament
Lexis King (with The Birthright) vs. Chazz "Starboy" Hall

The action is fast-paced from the get-go, after a minute of intense back-and-forth, Hill managed to hit a suicide dive that left King dazed. Back in the ring, the "Starboy" tries to seal the deal with a shooting star press, but Lexis King gets her knees up in time to receive him. King doesn't miss the opportunity and immediately applies "The Coronation" to secure the victory by a three count.

Winner: Lexis King

Shiloh Hill and Tatum Paxley vs. Blake Monroe and Jackson Drake

Before the match begins, Tatum Paxley and Blake Monroe struggle over the two North American titles until the belts go flying, and the referee signals for the bell. The men start legally, and Shiloh Hill dominates Jackson Drake from the start, hitting him with a knee strike that sends him out of the ring followed by several chops. Monroe tries to help his partner, but Paxley stops her with an enzuigiri from the apron, allowing Hill to finish off Drake with a leg drop.

Back in the ring, Drake desperately seeks the tag, but Monroe signals for a "time out" and refuses to enter. In a moment of chaos, Drake intervenes to save Monroe from a Cemetery Drive, then the action spills to the outside, where Monroe and Drake are knocked off the ring apron.

Upon returning, Hill and Drake exchange punches in the center of the ring. While the referee is distracted with the others outside, the heels take advantage to double-team Hill. Drake lands a series of strikes and a flying kick, but Tatum enters fired up and clears the ring, hitting a sit-out slam that nearly secures the victory.

In the final moments, Paxley drags Monroe to the corner and climbs to the top rope. Hill takes care of the others, but when Tatum tries to execute the Cemetery Drive, Drake appears to distract her. Although Paxley manages to push him away with a kick, the distraction allows Blake Monroe to hit the Glamour Shot to secure the three count and leave the door open for a rematch.

Winners: Jackson Drake and Blake Monroe

Robert Stone announces that next week will kick off Revenge, with a special two-episode event. For the first week, he confirms that champion Tony D'Angelo will face Ethan Page. Meanwhile, for the second week, the rivalry between Zaria and Sol Ruca will reach its climax with a Last Man Standing match. Stone also announces the debut of Kali Armstrong (from Evolve), while Schreiber adds that Kelani Jordan will face Jaida Parker.

Lola Vice comes out to the ring and greets with a "Hello, NXT!" that the audience responds to with chants of "you deserve it." The champion opens up, confessing that when she arrived in 2022, she thought she would go straight to the top, but reality hit her. She acknowledges that she had to start from scratch, learn from defeats, and seek experience in AAA to truly be ready. She assures that the Lola we see today is a champion who has earned everything through hard work.

However, Fatal Influence's music interrupts the moment. Jacy Jayne takes the microphone and tells her that was the last victory she will have over her. Amid boos from the audience, whom Jacy calls "losers," the heel boasts her 286 days as champion and demands her rematch. Robert Stone appears on the scene and makes it official: next week, Jacy will have her title opportunity.

Lola doesn't stay silent and warns her that she will knock her out again. At that moment, Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley attack her from behind. Vice manages to defend herself and almost hits her spinning backfist on Jacy, who prefers to flee the ring. The show ends with Lola Vice dancing in the center of the ring with her two belts.
