Tony Khan has publicly acknowledged that AEW went through a stage where too many voices influenced the product. In an interview with KING 5 News, the company's president explained that from now on he will only trust his instincts and execute the ideas that he truly believes work.

His message was clear: instead of spreading creative decisions too thin, he wants to take more direct control over the direction of the show. This shift aims towards a more focused version of AEW with a less scattered creative direction.

Khan himself admitted that listening to too many viewpoints could dilute the product's identity. Now, instead of trying to please everyone, he ensures that his priority will be to protect the coherence of the shows and make firmer decisions.

From now on... I will only trust my instinct. I will only carry out the ideas in which I believe.

The reflection aligns with previous comments where he had already stated that he does not want to intentionally create bad shows or lose creative focus. However, on this occasion, he went further by acknowledging that there was a real issue behind the scenes.

The goal: more consistency

AEW has gone through periods of creative ups and downs, with constant debates about the quality and consistency of its programming. Khan seems determined to correct this by strengthening his role as the final voice and reducing the number of hands in the process.

This move could help give the product a clearer identity, especially at a time when the company is still building special events and solidifying its brand with the audience.
