WWE has released its ranking of the 42 greatest moments in WrestleMania history

As part of the celebration of WrestleMania 42, WWE has prepared a ranking with the 42 best moments in the history of the event. The countdown was completed this Wednesday on the company's official YouTube channel, and the number one moment was Hulk Hogan's classic lift of Andre the Giant at WrestleMania III.

The choice is not very surprising, as that moment remains one of the most recognizable in the history of professional wrestling. Additionally, WWE will take the opportunity to highlight that match again during the 2026 Hall of Fame ceremony, where it will receive the Immortal Moment Award this Friday.

The list mixes great moments from different eras, from Steve Austin's rise to the returns of Cody Rhodes, The Hardy Boyz, and The Undertaker. There was also room for women's milestones, such as the first main event at WrestleMania 35 and the historic match between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 37.

The list also highlights emotionally impactful moments, such as Ric Flair's retirement at the hands of Shawn Michaels, the tribute to Eddie Guerrero in Rey Mysterio's victory, or the night Daniel Bryan won the world championship at WrestleMania 30.

WWE doesn't limit itself to older memories. The ranking included recent milestones like Cody Rhodes' triumph at WrestleMania 40, John Cena's record 17th world championship win at WrestleMania 41, and the triple threat match between IYO SKY, Bianca Belair, and Rhea Ripley, which was also one of the highlights of the past edition.
