Today we will once again enjoy a new live coverage of WWE SmackDown, which this time will be broadcast live from the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. This will be the company's last show before WrestleMania 42 and will feature the presence of many of its stars.
Notable events include the traditional battle in honor of Andre the Giant, as well as a new clash between MFT and The Wyatt Sicks. Additionally, Jordynne Grace and Tiffany Stratton will compete for a title opportunity. As always, we invite you to comment on the post to give your opinion on what happens on this week's blue brand show.
WWE SmackDown starts on Netflix!
The episode begins with a promotional video of WrestleMania, featuring WWE superstars, celebrities, and even fans, reminiscing about their favorite moments in the history of the grand event.
We see the arrival of some of tonight's stars at the venue: Jade Cargill (with B-Fab and Michin), Rhea Ripley, Sami Zayn, Trick Williams, Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, Charlotte Flair, and Alexa Bliss.
Pat McAfee and Randy Orton arrive at the venue's parking lot in the former's SUV. Nick Aldis was waiting for them. "Randy. Pat. As we discussed, here is the agreement," says SmackDown's General Manager as he hands a document to McAfee. "I imagine you and I will have a little chat," he adds. Pat teases the Brit before pointing out that he hasn't amassed a fortune by signing documents without reading them first. Randy interrupts to indicate that he will go out to address the fans while they deal with this matter. "Yeah!" exclaims McAfee. "Randy is going to ruin the show by speaking some truths, Adam Pearce foreigner," says Pat to Aldis as he focuses back on the document.
"The Viper" makes his entrance. Randy heads into the ring, where he asks for a microphone. "Randy, Randy!" chant the fans. "I don't need Pat McAfee, but the truth is I want him. McAfee is the only honest person in this company. He doesn't tell me what I want to hear, he tells me what I need to hear. And what I needed to hear is that, all this time, all I needed was to be myself," says Orton. He recalls that his initial plan was to face Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania, where he would win his fifteenth world championship. But that plan fell apart when Cody Rhodes reclaimed the title. The fans boo. At that moment, Randy didn't know how to react, as he didn't want to hurt his friend. But then Cody gave him permission to be himself. "Who the hell is Cody Rhodes to give me permission to be myself?!" he exclaims.
Orton points out that friendship works in a very simple way: it gives and takes. He has done nothing but give, and Cody has done nothing but take. Randy recalls what happened at WrestleMania 40. Rhodes had to face Roman Reigns and The Rock. And who did he choose as a partner? Seth Rollins. After that, Solo Sikoa and the new Bloodline marched against Rhodes. As a good friend, Randy supported him. And what did he gain in return? Being put through a table that kept him out of action for months, forcing him to undergo surgery. Later, Cody gave a title shot to Kevin Owens. He ended up betraying Rhodes. But not Orton. He remained loyal to "The American Nightmare" as a good friend. Randy tried to warn him to be careful with "KO," but only managed to have the Canadian apply a piledriver that almost ended his career.
Orton reiterates that he has given a lot to Rhodes, but he has not given anything back. He has only taken, and taken, and taken, and taken from him. "Pat McAfee has done more for me, for my career, and for my legacy than Cody Rhodes has in half a lifetime. Does Cody think that involving Pat McAfee in this matter will damage my legacy? No, Cody. You're wrong. These last years you have contributed to damaging my legacy more than anything. So tomorrow. WrestleMania. Night One. Main event of WrestleMania 42. I'm going to fix it. I'm going to correct the mistakes. I'm going to fix my legacy. I'm going to take the number fifteen home, where it belongs. And I'll do it with the three most dangerous letters in sports entertainment: R-K-O," says Randy to conclude his promo.
Orton heads to the parking lot, where McAfee awaits him at the wheel of his car. "Did you see that, English friend? That's how a WWE superstar looks. And tomorrow night everything will change for the better," says Pat to Aldis. McAfee points out that he will speak well of him to the company's top brass. After that, he mocks the fans, whom he calls "marks," urging them to WrestleMania. Pat starts the vehicle to leave the venue at full speed.
Street Fight
The Wyatt Sicks (Uncle Howdy, Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis) (with Nikki Cross) vs. MFT (Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, JC Mateo, and Talla Tonga) (with Tonga Loa)
The Wyatt Sicks storm the ring to attack their rivals, prompting the referee to start the match. Solo quickly retreats to ringside, closely followed by Uncle Howdy. The action unfolds inside and outside the ring. Gacy, Lumis, and Rowan join forces to expel Talla from the ring. Now it's Talla who surprises Rowan with a clothesline. After that, he dismantles the metal stairs, using them as a weapon to strike Gacy and Lumis. Talla forcefully throws the stairs against Rowan's head, leaving him lying on the ground.
JC grabs Dexter to hit his head against the stairs. After that, he immobilizes him so that Talla can apply a chop. MFT dominates the fight at ringside. Rowan recovers to throw Talla against one of the posts. After that, he enters the ring to fight against Tama and Mateo at the same time. Rowan approaches the ropes and tries to grab Solo from that position, but MFT's leader surprises him with a kendo stick.
The action continues at ringside. Meanwhile, Loa immobilizes Uncle Howdy in the ropes area so that Sikoa can hit his back with the kendo stick. Tama unleashes a flurry of attacks on Uncle Howdy in one of the corners. Gacy and Lumis return to surprise Tama and Mateo. Joe and Dexter combine against Tama, who receives a monkey flip + sitout powerbomb combo. 1..2..NO. JC interrupts the count.
Talla catches Uncle Howdy to execute a Samoan drop. Talla repeats the move on Lumis and Gacy. However, he struggles with Rowan. He expels Talla from the ring before launching himself with a suicide dive. Rowan introduces several objects into the ring. Erick and Uncle Howdy attack Solo with two trash cans. Erick applies a reinforced splash with his trash can.
Joe exits the ring to attack Tama, but he ends up being thrown against the metal stairs. Tama returns to the ring to rescue Solo from Uncle Howdy's clutches, whom he hits with a kendo stick. Tama now uses a metal chair to attack Uncle Howdy. MFT strikes the rest of The Wyatt Sicks members at ringside.
Solo returns to throw Uncle Howdy against a chair. Sikoa continues to attack him with a kendo stick. Sikoa immobilizes Uncle Howdy in one of the corners to apply a Running Hip Attack. Solo repeats the move, but this time his opponent dodges it. Uncle Howdy picks up one of the chairs to use it against Sikoa. After that, he places the chair on the canvas and executes an uranage on MFT's leader, whose back lands on the metal.
Loa tries to intervene, but Solo makes him fall from the apron. Nikki launches herself onto Loa with a diving crossbody. Uncle Howdy prepares to execute the Sister Abigail on Sikoa, but Talla prevents it with a big boot. Solo finishes off Uncle Howdy with a Uso Splash. 1..2..NO. Gacy interrupts the count by attacking Sikoa with a kendo stick.
Lumis joins Gacy. Both attack Talla with kendo sticks, but end up succumbing to a double chokeslam. Now it's Rowan who faces Talla. He manages to get rid of his rival with a clothesline, but at the cost of both ending up at ringside. Meanwhile, Tama surprises Uncle Howdy with a reverse DDT. Tama prepares to finish him off with a Cut Throat, but Solo beats him to it with a Samoan Spike. 1...2...3.
Winners: MFT
R-Truth and Damian Priest converse backstage. R-Truth explains to his partner that he wants to defend the WWE Tag Team Championships against one of the best teams, The New Day. Surprised, Damian reminds him that they belong to Raw. "Exactly. It should be easy. Asuka cursed them," says R-Truth. He points out that Xavier Woods has fallen ill, and a lot, as he now looks paler than ever and also speaks with a British accent. "That's Grayson Waller," says Priest as he tries to contain his laughter. R-Truth knows Waller. He's from Australia. But he doesn't know what that has to do with Woods. Damian tries to explain that he's confusing both men, but it's impossible for him. R-Truth asks his partner to wake up because tonight they will defend the gold. With that said, he leaves. "What?" asks a surprised Priest.
We see a pre-recorded video with The Miz and Maryse renewing their wedding vows in a chapel in Las Vegas (with Kit Wilson as a special officiant). "...I just want to say: Who the hell do you think you are?!" exclaimed The Miz to a surprised Maryse. She soon noticed the presence of Danhausen right next to her. Danhausen pointed out that he was the "maid of honor" at the ceremony. The Miz ordered him to leave before asking Wilson to skip straight to the end of the ceremony. Nervously, the Brit said, "Now you can curse the bride." After hearing these unfortunate words, Danhausen wasted no time in cursing Maryse. "You... are... cursed," he said. Furious, The Miz grabbed Danhausen by the neck. Kit tried to calm things down, but the scuffle ended with Maryse being thrown into the wedding cake, where she buried her face. Danhausen ran a finger across Maryse's face to take a bit of cake and taste it. "Oh, vanilla," he said. And so this segment came to an end.
We see a new promotional video starring Royce Keys. In it, he emotionally recalls his mother, who passed away before seeing him debut in WWE. Keys knows that she and his grandparents are still with him in some way, and that has helped him move forward, work hard, and achieve his goals. Royce hopes his mother is proud of him.
A police car arrives at the venue with its siren blaring. The vehicle reaches the entrance ramp. An officer gets out of the car to open the back door. From inside comes Jacob Fatu. He takes a microphone and climbs onto the car's roof. "Fatu, Fatu!" chant the fans. Jacob goes straight to Drew McIntyre, making it clear that he has not achieved his purpose, as the Samoan is not ashamed of his past. Nor has he been affected by the fact that the Scotsman handcuffed him in the ring. Fatu recalls that tomorrow they will face each other in a no-disqualification match, meaning no one can stop him and no one can help McIntyre. Jacob assures that he has left his past behind, and that's exactly what he will do with Drew once he's done with him. "Hey, Drew, get a calculator. Do the math. Because tomorrow night at WrestleMania, I'm going to give you a good beating! Yaddiahmen?! FA-TU!", exclaims the Samoan to conclude his promo.
Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair converse in the women's locker room. Alexa and Charlotte review their history in 2025, how they went from forming an alliance to becoming best friends. Flair is convinced that 2026 will be even better, and nothing would make it greater than winning the tag team gold again. Bliss hopes that, no matter what happens at WrestleMania, they will still be best friends. Flair understands, but it would be better if that friendship came with a second tag team championship around their waists. "Oh, my god, Charlotte," says Alexa as she leaves. "I know she'll understand," says "The Queen" as the segment comes to an end.
We see Tyrese Haliburton in the front row.
Tag Team Match
Damian Priest and R-Truth (c) vs. Kofi Kingston and Grayson Waller
Damian and Grayson start the match. Waller is the first to strike. The Australian surprises Priest with his speed until the Puerto Rican stops him with a big boot. R-Truth receives the tag to continue the champions' offensive. R-Truth rains punches on Grayson in one of the corners, but his opponent makes him fall. Kingston receives the tag to join his partner.
Kofi distracts the referee so that Grayson can make R-Truth fall out of the ring. Waller tries to finish him off, but Damian prevents it. Priest prepares to execute a chokeslam on Waller on the apron, but Kofi prevents it with a dropkick. The Puerto Rican is sent crashing into the audience barrier. The challengers celebrate before bringing R-Truth back into the ring.
Grayson and Kofi take turns hitting R-Truth. He tries to recover, but a kick from Waller directly to his legs makes him fall face-first onto the canvas. R-Truth desperately tries to reach his corner, but Kingston prevents it. R-Truth even loses one of his shoes in the process. Kofi jumps on him with a diving elbow. 1..2..NO.
Kofi applies a leg drop on the back of R-Truth's neck for Waller to finish him off with a diving elbow drop. Kingston covers him. 1..2..NO. Kofi continues to attack R-Truth when Grayson pats him on the back, giving him the tag. Kingston carries R-Truth on his shoulders while Waller seeks height in his corner. R-Truth escapes Kofi's clutches, who falls on his own corner. As a result, Grayson falls on top of him. R-Truth takes advantage of the situation to reach his corner and give the tag to Priest.
Damian enters with force, taking care of both his opponents at the same time. Damian applies an Old School + diving elbow on Grayson before finishing him off with a clothesline. 1..2..NO. Kingston interrupts the count. At that moment, R-Truth asks for the tag from Kofi, who doesn't understand anything. Kingston pushes R-Truth's hand away with a slap.
R-Truth believes he has received the tag and enters the ring to attack Kofi with John Cena's classic combo. Waller tries to intervene, but Damian knocks him down along with his partner. R-Truth convinces Priest to execute a parallel Five Knuckle Shuffle on the challengers. Kofi rolls to ringside while Damian and R-Truth execute a variant of Shatter Machine on Waller. 1..2..3.
Winners and STILL WWE Tag Team Champions: Damian Priest and R-Truth
Jade Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab make their entrance. "The Storm" poses with the WWE Women's Championship before taking a microphone. Cargill is about to speak, but...
THIS IS MY BRUTALITY!
Rhea Ripley heads toward the ring, where the heels await. The Australian steps onto the apron to address Jade. Rhea only came out to save the fans from boredom. Ripley admits she isn’t the most patient woman in the world, but she’s willing to hold back from entering the ring and attacking “The Storm,” because she doesn’t want her to have any excuses when she’s humiliated at WrestleMania.
B-Fab addresses Rhea, pointing out that she’s the one who keeps humiliating herself every time she comes looking for Cargill. Ripley laughs. The Australian claims Jade fears her, as she has shown by hiding behind her new allies or behind a keyboard when she attacks on social media. That’s why she challenges her to face her here and now without any partners to help her. Just the two of them. Jade asks Michin and B-Fab to leave the ring.
Rhea enters the ring to stand face-to-face with the champion. She acknowledges that the Australian once dominated the locker room, but only because she wasn’t here yet. Now, Ripley is simply jealous of a real bitch. Rhea can’t help but laugh, making it clear she has no desire to be like “The Storm.” In fact, she has fought women like her her entire life. And that’s why she has been champion numerous times in WWE. That said, she promises that at WrestleMania she will take down the narcissistic and fake bitch standing in front of her. Jade raises the championship in front of the Australian with a smile on her face. “See you Sunday, bitch”, says Cargill before leaving the ring. “The Storm” retreats with her partners under Rhea’s watchful gaze. And with that, we reach the end of this segment.
The full MFT celebrate backstage their victory tonight. A proud Solo Sikoa points out that this is how a real family operates: working as a team. “Did you hear me?” he asks Tama Tonga. He assures him he did. Sikoa turns to Talla Tonga to tell him he must win tonight’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in honor of Andre the Giant. In addition, Solo also wants to speak with Nick Aldis to secure a shot at the tag team championships. The members of MFT leave, bringing the segment to a close.
We see Dion Dawkins in the front row.
Giulia and Kiana James make their entrance to watch the next match alongside the English commentary table.
Match for an opportunity at the WWE United States Women’s Championship
Jordynne Grace vs. Tiffany Stratton
Grace traps Stratton in a headlock. Tiffany escapes and initiates a brief exchange of roll-ups with her opponent. Stratton uses her agility to surprise “The Juggernaut.” She traps Tiffany back-to-back to slam her into one of the turnbuckles. Jordynne continues with several clotheslines before hoisting her onto her shoulders. Grace drops her onto the bottom rope.
Grace delivers several knee strikes to Stratton before hitting her with multiple clotheslines. Tiffany quickly responds. Stratton corners Grace and kicks her. Tiffany hits a suplex on her rival. 1..2..NO. Stratton punishes her opponent using the ropes, then follows up with a rope hip attack. 1..2..NO. Jordynne tries to recover, but only manages to get kicked by her opponent.
Stratton drops Grace with a back elbow. 1..2..NO. Jordynne responds with a bodyslam, followed by a Vader Bomb. 1..2..NO. Jordynne keeps attacking Tiffany in the corner. Grace takes her to the top before executing a superplex. Jordynne tries to continue the sequence, but Tiffany stops her with a DDT. Both women are left laid out on the mat.
Stratton and Grace exchange strikes. Tiffany knocks down “The Juggernaut” and follows up with a Tiffy Stomp. 1..2..NO. Grace traps Stratton near the ropes and unleashes a flurry of headbutts. Grace takes Tiffany to the center of the ring to execute a Direct Effect. 1..2..NO. Stratton escapes her opponent’s grasp and surprises her with a handspring cutter. Stratton follows up with a rolling senton and finishes with a Prettiest Moonsault Ever. 1..2..3.
Winner: Tiffany Stratton
Tiffany and Giulia exchange glances as the segment comes to an end.
Trick Williams makes his entrance. “Whoop that Trick!” chant the fans. Trick grabs a microphone to make it clear that he’s not here to have fun tonight, but to seriously address a matter. Last week, Sami Zayn hurt his good friend Lil Yachty after hitting him with a Helluva Kick. Trick doesn’t know if the rapper will recover in time for WrestleMania, which could jeopardize the big entrance they had planned. “Sami Zayn, ‘Ginger Man,’ get out here right now!” exclaims Williams.
Zayn’s theme hits, bringing out a “real” Ginger Man. He enters the ring. Williams asks the Ginger Man why he’s sad. Maybe because he doesn’t have fans supporting him in Las Vegas, just like last week? Trick refocuses on himself, promising that this Sunday he’ll have his “WrestleMania Moment” when he defeats Sami and takes the United States Championship.
The real Sami Zayn interrupts the segment from the entrance ramp. The Canadian admits that, unlike Williams, he’s not having fun. He probably won’t have fun if he leaves WrestleMania still holding the title. In fact, he doesn’t think the fans have been having fun lately either. The crowd boos the Canadian. He still doesn’t understand what he did wrong for the fans to turn their backs on him. However, he doesn’t care, because he fights for his real fans. Sami knows there are some in the arena, and he has no doubt there will be at WrestleMania. “Shut the f*ck up!” the crowd chants.
Sami enters the ring and orders the Ginger Man to move to one of the corners. He then addresses Trick. Zayn acknowledges that Williams has accomplished a lot in just four months, including winning over the fans. And yes, Trick may have shown a lot, but not in the area that matters most: the ring. Sami doesn’t see Trick as the future of this business, but as a cocky rookie. A rookie who will face one of the best wrestlers in the business at WrestleMania without a plan. “I am the plan,” replies Trick.
Williams knows Zayn isn’t what he used to be, as shown by his recent backstage tantrums where he took out his frustration by kicking plastic bottles. Trick acknowledges that, despite everything, the Canadian is one of the best. Or at least he was before Trick entered the game. “I’ve got a plan, because the truth is I’m the one who will finish the job. Let’s talk about it,” says Williams.
Zayn makes it clear that none of that worries him—especially knowing Trick’s plan involves having a Ginger Man by his side. “Actually, I’ve got two Ginger Men in the ring,” says Williams. Furious, Sami attacks Trick, starting a brawl that ends with the Canadian throwing Trick out of the ring. Zayn turns around to find the Ginger Man still standing in the corner. Sami hits a Helluva Kick on the defenseless Ginger Man! The kick spins his head 180 degrees before he collapses onto the mat. Zayn gloats over him, allowing Williams to return and surprise the Canadian with a Trick Shot. Williams lifts the United States Championship before dropping it onto its rightful owner. Trick heads to the entrance ramp, leaving two motionless bodies in the ring. And with that, the segment comes to an end.
We see a promotional video for the Fatal 4-Way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania. “At WrestleMania, we won’t be there to remember who we were, but to show people who we still are,” says Brie Bella. “At WrestleMania, we’ll take back what’s ours,” says Charlotte Flair. “And we’ll do it together,” says Alexa Bliss. “As friends,” adds Flair. “At WrestleMania, we’ll bring our best,” says Bayley. “And we’ll make sure everything we’ve been through this past year was worth it,” adds Lyra Valkyria. “At WrestleMania, you don’t need to worry. We’ll make sure you all get your moment,” says Nia Jax. “But know that this will be your last WrestleMania Moment,” adds Lash Legend. And with that, the video ends.
Tag Team Match
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss vs. Lyra Valkyria and Bayley
Charlotte “accidentally” knocks Lyra off the turnbuckle during her entrance. Annoyed, the Irishwoman throws a right hand at “The Queen,” who quickly responds. The referee decides to officially start the match. Valkyria and Flair battle in the ring while Bayley and Alexa take their fight to ringside. Bliss throws “The Role Model” into the steel steps.
Suddenly, Nia Jax and Lash Legend storm the scene to attack both teams. The champions take out Charlotte, Alexa, and Bayley before focusing on Lyra. Legend knocks the Irishwoman out with a right hand. She then traps her in a bear hug so Nia can finish her with a diving leg drop. The Irresistible Forces pose with the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships while their victims lie in the ring.
No Contest
We see a promotional video for the match between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania.
Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Royce Keys vs. Talla Tonga vs. La Parka vs. Matt Cardona vs. Axiom vs. El Grande Americano vs. Angel vs. Berto vs. Kit Wilson vs. Shiloh Hill vs. Joaquin Wilde vs. Joe Hendry vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Rey Fenix vs. Ilja Dragunov vs. Otis vs. Apollo Crews vs. Psycho Clown vs. Original El Grande Americano vs. Alex Shelley vs. Chris Sabin vs. Akira Tozawa vs. Aleister Black vs. Cruz Del Toro
The action gets underway quickly. Wilson gets in Joe’s face and shoves him. Joe turns around, causing Kit to step back, only to trip over a dejected Gargano lying face down on the mat. As a result, Kit ends up going over the top rope. On another side, Nathan Frazer battles Chris Sabin on the apron. Gargano pushes Nathan, sending him to ringside. Johnny tries to fist-bump Sabin, but Axiom hits a Golden Ratio. Gargano moves, causing Sabin to take the blow and fall to ringside.
Meanwhile, Original El Grande Americano tries to eliminate El Grande Americano. The former attempts to unmask his nemesis, allowing Talla to eliminate both of them. Elsewhere, Dragunov eliminates Shiloh with a big boot. La Parka fights Los Garza but is eliminated by them. Rey Fenix eliminates Berto with a Tightrope Penalty Kick. Psycho Clown battles Angel when Royce eliminates him.
Gargano hits a DDT on Axiom on the apron to eliminate him. Rey Fenix then kicks Shelley out of the match. Nakamura eliminates Crews. Hendry catches Gargano with a Freak of Nature. Joe hits his signature spinning pose, only for Aleister to throw him out. Meanwhile, Talla eliminates Wilde and Del Toro.
Five men team up against Talla, but it’s not enough. Talla chokeslams Rey on the apron to eliminate him. Ilja and Gargano team up on Talla before Nakamura hits a Kinshasa. Aleister capitalizes to eliminate the Japanese star. Black then surprises Ilja to throw him out.
Tozawa tries to surprise Black but is eliminated. Otis charges through everyone. Otis eliminates Angel before hitting a Caterpillar on Johnny and tossing him out. Otis crushes Cardona and eliminates him. Black, Keys, Talla, and Otis are the final four.
Aleister surprises Otis with a Black Mass. Royce throws Aleister out. Talla squares off with Keys. Otis charges at both. Otis knocks down Keys but is kicked by Talla. Talla eliminates Otis and goes for a chokeslam on Keys. Royce blocks it and counters with a spinebuster. Finally, Keys clotheslines Talla over the top rope to win.
Winner and 2026 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal winner: ROYCE KEYS
Keys poses with the trophy as fireworks go off in the arena.
We see a promotional video for the match between Roman Reigns and CM Punk at WrestleMania Sunday.
Cody Rhodes makes his entrance with the Undisputed WWE Championship back in his possession. “The American Nightmare” greets fans at ringside as he heads to the ring. Cody takes a microphone to address the crowd. Rhodes makes it clear that tomorrow there will be no conspiracy theories—just two men fighting for the top championship in the company. He recalls Randy Orton’s promo earlier in the night and how “The Viper” accused him of “taking and taking,” when in reality Orton has never taken responsibility for his actions. Cody admits Randy has become one of the greatest, but now he has chosen to associate…
CM Punk interrupts!
A suited “The Best in the World” heads to the ring. CM Punk jokes with Cody before asking for a microphone. “CM Punk! CM Punk!” chant the fans. Cody asks if they’re going to shake hands and hug, or if Punk came out to hit him with a low blow. Punk smiles. The World Heavyweight Champion admits many people deserve a kick to the groin, but Cody isn’t one of them.
Cody jokes about Punk’s attire. Punk admits it’s been a long time since he appeared on TV dressed like this. That said, he reminds Cody that this weekend they will headline WrestleMania as WWE’s top champions. Punk acknowledges Randy Orton is one of the most dangerous men in the business and advises Cody to focus only on his match. No matter what happens, they’ll both be on Monday Night Raw, because Cody has played a huge role in building this. “Cody, from champion to champion. From friend to friend. From brother to brother, I’m proud of you,” says Punk before shaking his hand. “Go get it tomorrow night. Have fun,” he adds before heading to the apron. However, Cody asks him to wait.
Rhodes wants to talk about Punk’s opponent. He may not have been born into this business like Roman Reigns, but he deserves his spot through hard work. Cody says that, like Shawn Michaels, Punk returned after years away better than ever. Cody thanks him for everything he’s taught him, adding that his father, Dusty Rhodes, would be proud of him. The two embrace as “Kingdom” plays. Punk stops the music. He refuses to end the show in tears. Punk says their titles don’t just belong to them, but to the fans, so they’ll close the show posing with the gold alongside them. Punk and Rhodes climb onto the barricade to raise their championships as the episode comes to a close.
