CM Punk and Kevin Nash starred in an unexpectedly cordial moment backstage during the WWE Hall of Fame in Las Vegas. A video recorded in the garage showed Nash approaching Punk to start a conversation, and what could have been an awkward situation ended in smiles, laughter, a handshake, and a hug.
The scene drew a lot of attention due to the history between them, especially the public tension they had been carrying for months. In late December, Nash criticized Punk's television presentation, and the champion responded in his own way shortly after, even playing with the situation at a house show by wearing two shirts at once.
Their friction, however, goes back much further. The story dates back to 2011 when they shared an angle that seemed to lead to an individual match that never materialized, as Triple H ended up replacing Nash in the original plan.
Therefore, seeing them exchange laughs and friendly gestures at the Hall of Fame surprised many fans. Punk attended the ceremony to accompany the induction night, while Nash appeared alongside Sean Waltman to participate in Dennis Rodman's Hall of Fame entrance.
It remains to be seen if this encounter marks the real end of their old rivalry or if it was just a momentary truce. Either way, the image of both on good terms was one of the most talked about of the weekend.
