Tonight, WWE presents a new premium show with the second day of WrestleMania 42, which will take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will offer a card full of featured matches, including a Ladder Match for the Intercontinental Championship and the highly anticipated main event: a one-on-one between CM Punk and Roman Reigns with the World Heavyweight Championship on the line.
The CountDown to WrestleMania will last three hours and you can watch it through the embedded video we provide below. As always, we invite you to read and share your thoughts in the comments section.
We'll be waiting for you!
Joe Tessitore, Wade Barrett, Corey Graves, and Big E welcome us to the first hour of the Countdown Show.
Jackie Redmond provided an update on Cody Rhodes' health. Redmond confirmed that the WWE Undisputed Champion needed four staples in his head and care for his right eye, which he still can't open. Currently, he does not have medical clearance, nor an approximate date for his return to action.
Booker T had a chat with Lash Legend, Trick Williams, and Je'Von Evans before their respective debuts at WrestleMania. Legend pointed out that his participation in the grand event feels like the culmination of a goal he has pursued with every step he has taken so far. Je'Von, on the other hand, felt excited for his first match at the Show of Shows, but made it clear that he will not perform moves just to please the fans. He has a goal, which is to break records, and winning the Intercontinental Championship at his age and in his debut at the grand event will be the first of them. Finally, Trick recalled that just four months ago he was killing it in NXT. Now he is about to compete on the biggest stage of all, and no matter how much Sami Zayn insists that he doesn't belong in this place, he will have to get used to the chants in his favor because he will leave the event as the new United States Champion.
Peter Rosenberg interviewed Trick Williams and Lil Yachty backstage. Williams feels great before competing in his first WrestleMania. Also, he is happy to have the rapper by his side. "We are here, at WrestleMania, to represent our culture, make history, and leave with the United States Championship", says Trick to end the interview.
Byron Saxton interviewed Jade Cargill before her match at WrestleMania. Saxton asked Cargill if she had met the fans' expectations after the hype generated by her signing with WWE. Upset with the question, "The Storm" reviewed her list of achievements in the company since her arrival. Regarding her heel turn, Cargill pointed out that she simply listened to her inner voice. And thanks to that, she is where she is now. Byron reminded Jade that she is undefeated at WrestleMania. Does she fear that Rhea Ripley, a woman similar to her, will end that record? Cargill admitted that the Australian has a great physique. Apart from that, she doesn't stand out in anything else. Regarding her well-known phrase, "I'm not here to make friends, but to make money," Jade reiterated her position. "I'm here for admiration, haters, and to continue enriching myself", she said. As for Michin and B-Fab, Cargill pointed out that they are just allies. Jade ended the interview by stating that she trusts in her victory at WrestleMania because she is "that b*tch".
Cathy Kelley interviewed Rey Mysterio backstage. Rey is ready to compete in the Ladder Match tonight, although he acknowledges that he feels somewhat different thanks to the presence of new generation talents. Mysterio has a mix of different feelings, partly because last year he couldn't compete in the grand event. An injury at the last moment prevented him from being at WrestleMania 41, but this time he feels lucky. Kelley wishes him the best for his match to end the interview.
Joe Tessitore interviewed Triple H before the show. The WWE Content Chief reviewed the card for the second night of WrestleMania, with special attention to the match between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar and the main event of the night.
Corey Graves interviewed CM Punk before his match at WrestleMania. "The Best in the World" recalled his first encounter with The Shield and the advice he gave to all of them: to forget everything they had learned up to that moment. It was then when he asked each one of them what their goals were. CM Punk made it clear that he doesn't care if Roman Reigns doesn't respect him. He, on the other hand, does, especially because the Samoan acts on behalf of his family. CM Punk acknowledged that he crossed the line by mentioning Reigns' deceased father, but that's what he does: get into the heads of his rivals. "I crossed the line. I know I can be better than that. I was following my own game plan", he said. CM Punk also wanted to reiterate that his victory at WrestleMania will allow the fans to have their world champion on television every week.
We see the second part of Michael Cole's interview with Roman Reigns. Cole reminded him that his rise to the top coincided with the time when CM Punk was not in WWE. Did it bother him that "The Best in the World" was so positively received by the fans? Roman pointed out that he has carried the company, leaving his soul in it, to keep it in the position where figures like John Cena and The Rock had left it. And for CM Punk to try to take advantage of it now, after ten years of absence, and with massive fan support, is something that really hurts him. Also, he had to mention the name of his deceased father just to strengthen his own name. Because that's what CM Punk does. Cole asked him about the recurring criticism from "The Best in the World," who points out that Roman is not a full-time wrestler because he puts his role as a father and husband first. Reigns, however, mocked his rival, who hasn't competed for a decade, and still boasts of being rich. "You're doing well, but you're not rich. What does all that matter if you don't have a generation to pass it on to?", he said. Cole asked him what will happen if Reigns wins the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania. "We will bring this place back to relevance," he responded. What will happen if he loses? "If I lose to CM Punk at WrestleMania, I will no longer belong to WWE. I think if I lose on Sunday, I will say that my job is done", he responded to end the interview.
Joe Jones performs "The Star-Spangled Banner" to end the Countdown Show.
WrestleMania 42 Sunday begins on Netflix!

That said, Cena notes that it’s time to say goodbye, as his role as host has just come to an end. However, before leaving, he wants to thank the fans from the bottom of his heart.
The Miz and Kit Wilson interrupt Cena. "You left a void in their hearts that I’ve had to fill. Now I’m the locker room leader," The Miz tells John as he enters the ring. The Miz recalls that last year he was denied his "WrestleMania Moment," so he won’t leave the ring until he gets this year’s. "Mike, good to see you," John says as he shakes The Miz’s hand. "Sorry, who are you?" he asks Wilson. The fans laugh.
