CM Punk got into a scuffle with a fan after WrestleMania 42

WrestleMania 42 has left big headlines in the form of surprising victories, painful defeats, notable comebacks, attendance figures, and match durations. However, the grand event has also brought news unrelated to the spectacle itself. It has been reported that several superstars have had issues with some fans.

One of them was CM Punk, who slammed a fan's mobile phone to the ground after the fan was recording his wife AJ Lee saying goodbye to Bayley with a hug. The video, published by TMZ, shows the exact moment when CM Punk hits the fan's phone without saying a word. Several workers and security members quickly approached the wrestler to prevent further incidents. The fan, on the other hand, walked away from the scene apologizing to the former world champion.

Later, a witness to the events provided more information about what happened, blaming the fan for the incident. "I was right there last night when it happened; a fan put his arm around CM Punk's wife to take a picture after she had said no... totally justified, and anyone would have done the same," he wrote.

But CM Punk was not the only one who had issues with fans. According to PWInsider, Damian Priest had to intervene to help a fellow wrestler, whose name has not been disclosed, who was being surrounded by a crowd seeking autographs and signatures. Both this case and the one involving CM Punk and AJ Lee took place at the hotel where WWE talent was staying. In fact, one of the main topics of conversation during the weekend was precisely the lack of security at the venue.

The issue with fans this weekend in Las Vegas not only affected WWE talent. Elayna Black, a TNA Wrestling wrestler, reported a man who allegedly sexually assaulted her (by touching her buttocks) during her appearance at WrestleCon 2026. Black recorded the individual in question while he was escorted out and later posted the video asking for the fan to be banned from any future conventions.
