Paige returned to WWE at WrestleMania 42 and also left Las Vegas as a champion, alongside Brie Bella, after replacing the injured Nikki Bella. Now, in a video posted on Instagram, the wrestler showed the exact moment when she found out that WWE had authorized her to return to the ring.
In the clip, Paige is seen crying and visibly excited while trying to control her nerves. She also mentions that the journey to reach that point was long and complicated, something that made the news even more significant for her on a personal level.
The day I found out they had given me the green light to come back home, to WWE. What an emotional journey! Thank you, Gilbert Boyas, for being there and capturing this moment! It's been a long road, but, oh boy, it was worth it. Thank you all for the love you have shown me since I returned; it means a lot to me.
Paige herself wrote that it was "the day I knew I could come back home to WWE" and thanked Gilbert Boyas for being there to capture that moment. She added that it was a very intense emotional journey and that the whole process was worth it.
Paige left WWE in 2017 due to a neck injury that forced her to retire at the time. Later, as Saraya, she was able to continue wrestling in AEW, where she even won the Women's World Championship, before leaving the company in 2025.
Her return to WWE in 2026 closed a cycle that seemed very difficult to imagine years ago. Now, in addition to returning to competition, Paige is experiencing a moment of total vindication: she returned to the company, came back to the ring, and reached the top once again.
