Joe Hendry has been announced to perform one of his concerts on the next episode of WWE Raw. However, it will not be a one-night appearance. The company will be promoting the Scotsman to the red brand's roster imminently, as several media outlets have reported in recent weeks, including WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select.
Despite his new status as a talent on WWE Raw, Hendry may continue to appear in NXT to close out his time in the developmental brand. It is worth noting that the Scotsman was defeated by Keanu Carver by KO on the second day of NXT Revenge.
Initial rumors pointed to SmackDown as a possible destination for the wrestler. However, the creative team ultimately decided to integrate him into the Raw roster. With this promotion, Joe will complete a successful year. It all began with his surprise participation at WrestleMania 41, where he represented TNA as their top champion facing Randy Orton in a brief match.
A few months later, Hendry was already part of the NXT roster, where he quickly became one of the most beloved talents by fans. Joe achieved his greatest success in February of this year after winning the NXT Championship, vacant after Oba Femi's promotion. The Scotsman lost the title at NXT Stand & Deliver, which was seen by many as a clear sign that his move to the main roster was imminent.
Hendry is part of a small wave of post-WrestleMania promotions. Ethan Page was officially added to the red brand last Monday. It is expected that Sol Ruca will follow the same path after his performance last week and the end of his rivalry with Zaria in NXT. On the other hand, Jacy Jayne is expected to make her debut on SmackDown tomorrow night.
