Today we will once again enjoy a new live coverage of WWE SmackDown, which this time will be broadcast live from the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. This will be the company's first show after WrestleMania 42 and will feature the presence of some of its top stars, including current champions Cody Rhodes and Rhea Ripley.
Additionally, Paige will be returning to the blue brand after almost a decade, and Giulia will put the United States Women's Championship on the line against Tiffany Stratton. As always, we invite you to comment on the post to give your opinion on what happens on this week's SmackDown show.
WWE SmackDown starts on Netflix!
The show begins with a video recap of WrestleMania 42.
We see the arrival of some of tonight's stars at the venue: Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, Trick Williams (with Lil Yachty and the Gingerbread Man), and Danhausen.
Jacob Fatu is the one to open the show. "The Samoan Werewolf" heads to the ring. "Fatu, Fatu!" chant the fans. The Samoan recalls his conversation with Roman Reigns on WWE Raw. Jacob told him he didn't want his title, but he needed it. However, Reigns replied, "Fatu, you're not ready." Jacob acknowledges that "The OTC" is right. Everyone has told him the same thing his whole life. But he disagrees. "Roman, you say I'm not ready. Well, step into this ring and prove it", he says.
UUUUUUUSSSSSSSOOOOO!
The Usos make their entrance. Jey and Jimmy stand in the ring in front of Fatu. Jimmy is aware that Jacob wants the best for his family, and he understands. However, he advises him not to go against Roman, but to join "the family." "Fatu, Fatu!" chant the fans. Jimmy hopes Jacob doesn't listen to the audience because none of them will help him provide a better life for his family. Jey, on the other hand, believes it's too late to back down. If Jacob wants Reigns' respect, he'll have to go straight to him, look him in the eyes, and prepare for war. Because that's exactly what Reigns...
MFT interrupts the segment!
Solo Sikoa advises Fatu not to listen to The Usos, as they are lying to him. Sikoa reminds him that he was the one who brought him to WWE, not his brothers. Additionally, they can't teach Jacob anything. MFT enter the ring. Sikoa promises Fatu that he will guide him to a victory over Roman if he accepts his help. "Jacob, you need an army. And I have it", he says. Suddenly, Tama Tonga snatches the mic from Sikoa, surprising his companions. Tama doesn't understand why Solo is wasting time with Fatu. "He's a lost cause. Do you think he's going to beat Roman? He can't even beat you", says Tama. Fatu hits Tama with a superkick. Solo stops JC Mateo and Tonga Loa, preventing them from retaliating against "The Samoan Werewolf." Jacob takes the floor, pointing out that the only person he should be talking to is Roman Reigns. On the other hand, he disagrees with Tama's words, so he challenges Sikoa to face him one-on-one later tonight. "¡And let me remind you, in case you've forgotten, that Jacob Fatu is all gas and no brakes. Yaddiahmean?!" exclaims Fatu. Solo laughs before leaving the ring with his companions. And so we reach the end of the first segment of the night.
Cathy Kelley interviews Giulia and Kiana James backstage. Giulia expresses her displeasure at defending her United States Championship on the SmackDown AFTER WrestleMania and not at the grand event. Kiana assures that she is also upset by this lack of respect, even though she DID everything in her power to get her partner to FIGHT at the Show of Shows. Giulia snatches the microphone from Kelley. "I beat Tiffany once and I'll do it again. I feel no pressure. Just anger", she says before leaving. Upset, James assures Cathy that she never argues with Giulia unless the interviewer is present. That said, she leaves after "The Beautiful Madness."

With the help of a map, Danhausen arrives at The Miz's house. The peculiar wrestler quickly knocks on the door. The Miz opens it, but doesn't see anyone. The Miz goes back inside his home, where he finds Danhausen. Annoyed, The Miz asks how he found his house. Danhausen replies that it was easy, as his house is on the route of the famous. The Miz opens the door and orders him to leave, but when he turns around, Danhausen has already disappeared. The Miz continues walking until he finds Danhausen in one of his pools. The Miz orders him to get out of the pool. Danhausen obeys... but only halfway, as he moves from one pool to another. The Miz yells at him to leave his home, but when he turns, Danhausen has vanished, causing The Miz to fall into the pool. And so we reach the end of this segment.
Cathy Kelley interviews Tiffany Stratton on the entrance ramp. Stratton confesses that in recent months she has felt like the runner-up. First at the Royal Rumble. Then at Elimination Chamber. But now she is the United States Champion. "&And now I'm going to show the world why the WWE Universe works according to Tiffy Time!", she exclaims.

Brie regrets not sharing that moment with her sister Nikki, but she's glad to have had Paige by her side. Brie believes she speaks for everyone when she says to the Brit: "Welcome back." "Welcome back!", chant the fans.
Paige apologizes for her voice, but it's been a crazy week. Paige recalls the call she received from Brie Bella to ask her to replace her sister. The Brit couldn't refuse to make her return to WWE on the biggest stage of all. Paige is proud of her partner. Both faced some of the best female wrestlers in the world, and still came out of the event as the new tag team champions. "We were in the ring with some of the best female wrestlers in the world, but let me remind you that SmackDown is my home. Brie and I are not going anywhere", she says.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss interrupt the promo!
Charlotte and Alexa are "happy" to see Paige back in WWE. However, they and Brie need something. Flair and Bliss step into the ring. Charlotte proposes to Paige to prove that this is her home by defending the gold. "YES, YES, YES," exclaim the fans. Paige and Brie don't hesitate to accept the challenge. "Wooo!", exclaims Charlotte before calling for a referee.
WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match

The latter delivers a chop to Brie, followed by a Fallaway Slam. Brie tries to recover, only to receive a enzuigiri. Brie kicks Flair to escape from her. Brie crawls to her corner when suddenly, Jacy Jayne appears out of nowhere to knock down Paige, whom she throws against the metal stairs!
Match ends in a no contest
Fatal Influence completely launch an assault against the four women! Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley apply their new combined finisher on Alexa to end the assault. The three former NXT talents retreat through the entrance ramp, with Jacy Jayne making it clear that SmackDown now belongs to them. "This is now our house, baby", says Jayne. "We're going to end all your favorites. All of them", adds Lainey pointing at the fans, who bid farewell to the faction with a resounding boo.
We see a new promotional video starring Royce Keys. Friends, acquaintances, and family highlight the wrestler's success both for the black community and the population of Palo Alto. "I didn't get here alone, but now that I'm here, no one can stop me", says Royce to end the video.
Cody Rhodes makes his entrance. The fans welcome him with a great ovation. "The American Nightmare" heads to the ring with the WWE Undisputed Championship and his right eye still bruised. "Kingdom" stops playing to make way for the audience's chants, somewhat divided regarding the champion. He recalls his victory at WrestleMania 42, especially how he left the arena: shattered, bloodied, and with a swollen eye. And yet he decided to walk out on his own, because that's what's expected of a champion. In fact, he believes his only superpower is getting up every time he's knocked down. Because leaving through the side of the ramp ("the loser's ramp," as it's often known) means your time is up. But his began four years ago.
Cody knows he doesn't have medical clearance to compete, but none of his multiple injuries would have prevented him from coming out to send a few messages. The first one is for Randy Orton, who is NOT present in the arena. Orton was the one who introduced him to this sport, as well as taught him everything he knew. "I wanted to send him a message: that even after the bell, Randy Orton gave me his best shot, a kick to the head, but I'm still here", he says.
Cody also wants to send a message to a sarcastic and condescending Sami Zayn, who called him a "golden boy." That's why Rhodes appeared at WrestleMania bathed in gold from head to toe. So Zayn would know that he will be gold, his family will be gold, his friends will be gold, and every fan he has on the face of the earth will be gold. "¡Cody, Cody!" chant the audience. Rhodes also has a message for those "external forces" that keep interfering with his plans written for WrestleMania. "I'll make it clear. You're losing 0-3. Send your best or count your money and mind your damn business!", he exclaims.
Finally, Cody remembers that this episode of SmackDown is the first after WrestleMania. He is the top champion of the brand and knows his title is the most coveted. "I'm easy to find, whether you're from NXT, Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, or wherever. I repeat. I'm here. WWE Champion. Cody Rhodes. Easy to find. Hard to beat", he says to end his promo.
Solo Sikoa talks with his MFT teammates backstage. Solo orders JC Mateo and Tama Tonga to go out and regain the WWE Tag Team Championships. "Don't screw it up. And don't disappoint the family", says Sikoa looking at Tama. He and Mateo head towards the ring. Tonga Loa asks Solo about Jacob Fatu. "Don't worry about Jacob. Tonight I'll give him a lesson and show him that, without us, he can't beat Roman," replies Sikoa. Loa leaves, letting Solo continue preparing for his match. And so we reach the end of this segment.

JC follows up with a german suplex hold. 1..2..NO. Damian breaks up the count.
Tama and Mateo try to double-team R-Truth. However, he dodges a corner splash from Tama, who crashes into one of the ring posts. Tama falls to ringside. Mateo strikes R-Truth, at which point Damian tags himself in. JC doesn’t notice. Priest enters the ring to join R-Truth. Together they hit their combined finisher on Mateo. The Puerto Rican covers him. 1..2..3.
Winners and STILL WWE Tag Team Champions: Damian Priest and R-Truth
We return to the home of The Miz. He emerges completely soaked from the pool and heads inside, where he resumes the search for Danhausen, whom he finds playing virtual golf. The Miz tries to snatch the club from him, as he has no idea how expensive it is. However, he ends up taking an accidental hit to the groin. The Miz collapses to the floor. Danhausen approaches The Miz’s trophy case to grab a Slammy Award, which he takes as a souvenir. Danhausen thanks him for a pleasant visit, not before grabbing some "powdered chocolate" he finds next to a bouquet of flowers. Danhausen exits through the door and runs into Maryse, who was returning home. "You! YOU!" exclaims Maryse. "Me? Oh, yes! I am Danhausen," replies the eccentric character. Suddenly, The Miz reappears and throws the "powdered chocolate" at Danhausen. However, he suddenly disappears, causing the substance to hit Maryse in the face instead. The Miz apologizes to his wife when they hear a bicycle bell. We see Danhausen riding away on a small bicycle. "That’s my daughter’s bike," says The Miz. "THAT’S MY DAUGHTER’S BIKE," he repeats as he watches Danhausen disappear into the horizon.
Lil Yachty and the gingerbread man meet up with Trick Williams to head to the ring. A WWE staff member approaches Williams to tell him something important, but the United States Champion knocks him out with a slap. Williams, Yachty, and the gingerbread man continue on their way.
Trick Williams, Lil Yachty, and the gingerbread mascot make their entrance into a ring prepared for the occasion. "Whoop that Trick!" chants the crowd over and over. Williams is convinced that the fans are thrilled to celebrate with him, just as they were at WrestleMania, where they chanted three words: "Whoop-That-Trick." Yachty encourages the crowd to chant them once more. The rapper recalls that the grand event ended many celebrities, but not him. "That means I’m here to stay!" he exclaims. In fact, he claims that now he and Trick run SmackDown. That said, Yachty believes they need to make something clear: the open challenges for the United States Championship must come to an end. Williams agrees, noting that there will be no invitations to compete for his title. Anyone who wants an opportunity will have to be as good as him and come find him. Trick poses with the title as fireworks go off in the arena. Yachty throws cash into the air to accompany the moment. Meanwhile, the gingerbread mascot dances.
Suddenly, the gingerbread man attacks Williams from behind with a candy cane! Yachty approaches the champion to check on him, only to receive the same treatment. The gingerbread man removes the top part of the costume to reveal his identity. It’s Sami Zayn, who is met with boos. Sami knocks out Trick with a Helluva Kick before dancing for the crowd, who continue to boo him. The Canadian heads back to the backstage area to end the segment.
Cathy Kelley interviews Royce Keys backstage. Keys recalls his big SmackDown debut, including his victory in last week’s Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal. "But the best part of all this is that I’m just getting started. I take everything I want," he says. Solo Sikoa interrupts the interview with applause. Solo congratulates Keys on his battle royal victory, although his partner Talla Tonga is still upset about it. "Like I said before, there will always be a place for you in my family. Alright?" says Sikoa before walking away.
Danhausen vs. The Miz (with Kit Wilson)
"Danhausen! Danhausen!" chant the fans. Danhausen surprises The Miz with a crossbody before sending him out of the ring with a hurricanrana. Wilson climbs onto the apron to distract Danhausen, allowing The Miz to catch him off guard from behind. The Miz and Kit celebrate by the ropes with their backs to Danhausen. Meanwhile, he rises in classic "The Undertaker" fashion. "You... are... cursed!" he exclaims, pointing at The Miz. Suddenly, the fireworks near the ring go off, blinding Kit and The Miz. Danhausen surprises his opponent with a roll-up. 1..2..3.
Winner: Danhausen
Danhausen tries to disappear with a smoke bomb but, as usual, it doesn’t work. An enraged The Miz chases after Danhausen. He manages to escape his pursuer, who ends up crashing into Wilson. Danhausen hops into his Car-Hausen and safely leaves the scene.
Blake Monroe stars in a promotional video. It is announced that the British star will make her debut soon.
THIS IS MY BRUTALITY!
Rhea Ripley makes her entrance. "Mami! Mami!" chant the fans. "Texas, your 'Mami' is finally champion again!" exclaims the Australian. She admits that Jade Cargill pleasantly surprised her at WrestleMania, but it wasn’t enough to defeat her. Now Rhea is the ruler of the brand, and it’s time to make the WWE Women’s Championship defended regularly. That said, she issues an open challenge to any woman in the locker room.
Fatal Influence storm onto the scene!
The fans greet them with loud boos. Jacy Jayne tries to speak, but the boos almost completely drown her out. Jacy tells the crowd to be quiet, making it clear this is her moment. However, the fans don’t listen. Jacy wants to be the first to congratulate Ripley. The crowd keeps booing. Jayne assures them she enjoys the boos, so they can give her more if they want. The audience doesn’t fall for the reverse psychology either. Jayne decides to continue her promo. The former NXT champion hopes Fatal Influence get the credit they deserve after taking out four legends tonight. Ripley admits that’s impressive but advises them to stop while they still can.
Fallon Henley takes the mic, prompting more boos. "What we did to them is nothing compared to what we’re going to do to you," says Henley. "Oh, and you can blame all of that on us too. Jacy Jayne, Fallon Henley, and Lainey Reid. Fatal Influence, baby," adds Lainey. Rhea, for her part, is used to fighting at a disadvantage, so she doesn’t mind. "So if you’re looking for a fight, I’m ready. Take your shot," she says as she steps up to Jayne. "Rhea, one thing you’ll learn about Fatal Influence is that we’re always ready with fists up," responds Jacy. Ripley begins to remove her jacket when Nick Aldis appears. The General Manager welcomes Fatal Influence to SmackDown. However, he also admits he was looking for a punishment for them after what happened tonight. Then he realized Ripley was right here. That’s why Jayne will face the Australian right here and now.

The Usos approach Jacob Fatu backstage. Jimmy Uso assures "The Samoan Werewolf" that MFT will interfere in his match one way or another. They’ll be watching, so they can back him up if needed. "I don’t need your help. I don’t need it. Yaddiahmean?" says Jacob before walking off. "Told you," Jey says to his brother as the segment ends.
Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss talk in the medical room. Flair expresses her frustration with Fatal Influence’s actions while a doctor applies ice to Alexa. Suddenly, a hurting Rhea Ripley appears. Rhea and Charlotte exchange looks. "Do we have a problem?" the Australian asks "The Queen." "Seriously?" Charlotte responds defiantly. Alexa quickly steps in to make it clear they do have a problem, and its name is "Fatal Influence." Bliss doesn’t understand why they don’t deal with them.
