A few days ago, Ric Flair stated that his absence at WrestleMania 42 was due to a WWE veto after the legend threatened Ludwig Kaiser with a beating. According to "The Nature Boy," the German went to Triple H to tell him what had happened, which led the Content Director to take action. Ultimately, this resulted in the sixteen-time world champion's absence from the grand event.
However, Flair's account had some inconsistencies. Firstly, the legend confused Kaiser's age and nationality, also claiming that he had disappeared from WWE's television programming. On the other hand, that threat took place on the eve of WrestleMania 41, so it seemed strange that the company would have decided to ban him a year later.
The commotion caused by these statements led the specialized media outlet Fightful to contact their WWE sources to inquire about the issue. However, those sources did not seem to remember what kind of problem Flair could have had with Kaiser. Similarly, they neither confirmed nor denied that Flair had been banned by the company.
According to Fightful, Ric Flair would still be under contract with All Elite Wrestling. If this is the case, it would explain any absence of the legend on a WWE televised show. "The Nature Boy" was scheduled to appear on the Blood & Guts special last November, where he would reunite with one of his great rivals, Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat. However, Flair could not attend due to health issues.
