Zelina Vega would have received the call about her departure from WWE directly from TKO Group Holdings, and not from the Stamford headquarters, as she herself recounted in a Twitch livestream. The wrestler said that detail immediately caught her attention and she interpreted it as a very clear sign of what was happening.

The news comes within an important roster restructuring after WrestleMania 42, in which several well-known names have also been affected. Among them are groups and talents such as The Wyatt Sicks, Motor City Machine Guns, Zoey Stark, Alba Fyre, and Andre Chase, highlighting the magnitude of the roster cleanup.

Vega also expressed her anger because the information was made public before she could communicate it herself. In her livestream, she harshly criticized Sean Ross Sapp and lamented that no one gave her the opportunity to announce it first.

I was very surprised. But yeah, I would have appreciated if Sean Ross Sapp or whoever the hell it was that announced it had at least the decency to let me do it first. So yeah, fuck off, man.

This would be her second departure from WWE. She had already been released in 2020 due to the company's conflict with third-party platforms, returned in 2021, and had a solid second run that included winning the United States Women's Championship in April 2025.
