Utami Hayashishita has announced that she will leave Dream Star Fighting Marigold after the defeat suffered against Miku Aono in the event held this Saturday at Korakuen Hall. Aono retained the world championship in the main event, but the big news came right after the match, when Hayashishita took the microphone to communicate her departure.

The wrestler made it clear that the decision had already been made some time ago and that it was not related to the outcome of the fight. She also confirmed that her last match for Marigold will take place on May 23, thus closing a stage that began in the promotion last year after her departure from STARDOM.

According to Rossy Ogawa's explanation in a subsequent interview, Utami had informed him in January that she planned to leave. This reinforces the idea that it is a thoughtful decision and not an impulsive reaction to losing the title.

Hayashishita, 27 years old, debuted in STARDOM in 2018, where she won the Rookie of Stardom award that same year and was chosen as the Women's Wrestling MVP in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter Awards of 2021. Her departure marks another significant change in a career that had already taken a decisive turn when she left STARDOM in March 2024 and joined Ogawa's project the following month.
