WrestleMania 42 was a financial success for WWE, as the company recently announced. And, as usual, merchandise sales were one of the highlights of the weekend. This afternoon, Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful Select revealed the top 3 superstars in terms of official merchandise revenue.

"CM Punk was the leader in sales within the stadium, after headlining the main event of WrestleMania night 2 for the first time in his career. Punk has maintained strong merchandise sales throughout his return to WWE, as reported," the outlet wrote.

"Cody Rhodes headlined his fourth consecutive WrestleMania and ended up in second place on the list of superstars within the stadium. Rhodes has been one of the top merchandise sellers for years, frequently leading these types of lists," Fightful wrote.

"The third spot would have been a surprise two months ago, but not anymore. Danhausen ended up being the third biggest merchandise draw within the stadium. WrestleVotes reported on Fightful Select that WWE was impressed with his sales, to the point of needing multiple restocks. These strong sales led to him being added to Fanatics Fest," the outlet wrote.

CM Punk was defeated by Roman Reigns, losing his World Heavyweight Championship in the process. Cody Rhodes had better luck, retaining his WWE Undisputed Title after defeating Randy Orton in a bloody match. Meanwhile, Danhausen starred in a fun segment with The Miz, Kit Wilson, and John Cena.
