Today we will once again enjoy a new live coverage of WWE SmackDown, which this time will be broadcast live from the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The show will feature several matches and segments, including a one-on-one between Charlotte Flair and Jacy Jayne.
Additionally, Ricky Saints will make his debut on the main roster, while Cody Rhodes will be in charge of opening the episode. As always, we invite you to comment on the note to give your opinion on what happens on this week's blue brand show.
WWE SmackDown starts on Netflix!
The show begins with a video recap of the main segment of the last episode of WWE Raw.
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists at the venue: Paige and Brie Bella, The Irresistible Forces, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, Fatal Influence in full force, and Sami Zayn.
Cody Rhodes is in charge of opening tonight's show. The Undisputed WWE Champion is greeted with a great ovation. Rhodes greets the fans in the front rows - especially the youngest ones - as he heads to the ring. "Well, Tulsa, Oklahoma, what do you want to talk about?" he asks to start his promo. Cody has new information for them. And it is that, after meeting with the medical team and Nick Aldis, he can announce that he has been medically cleared to compete. And this leads to the next question: what will be next for Cody Rhodes on SmackDown?
WELCOME TO THE REVOLUTION
Ricky Saints bursts onto the scene!
"The Absolute" heads to the ring, where Rhodes awaits him leaning on the ropes with a half-smile on his face. Ricky takes the floor to announce that he has just signed as a new talent for the blue brand. Saints reminds Cody that they have known each other for a long time. He also knows that the champion can feel the winds of change, because this show has become "Friday Night Saints". "Cody, Cody!" chant the fans.
Rhodes makes it clear that he is happy to have him here. However, he would like to know what has changed since the last time Ricky stood in front of him. "You," Saints replies. He points out that Cody has aged during his three title reigns in WWE. Meanwhile, he has achieved several accomplishments in NXT. "The Absolute" assures that he has always congratulated Cody on his successes. "I just hope, dear friend, that you keep that same energy for me, because I'm here to free you from your obligations, champion," says Ricky.
Cody recalls that a few moments ago he shared with the Tulsa fans the news of his medical clearance. So he has no problem facing Saints tonight. The crowd goes wild. Rhodes extends his hand to "The Absolute," who quickly shakes it. Ricky is about to leave the ring, but he has one last thing to say. "I didn't come here to make a statement. I came here to change the protagonist of the show," says Ricky. "Let me remind you what I told everyone last week on SmackDown: I'm easy to find, but hard to defeat," says Cody before raising his championship. Saints and Rhodes exchange looks as the segment comes to an end.
Cathy Kelley interviews Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss in the Gorilla Position. Rhea Ripley appears on the scene to propose an alliance to the former tag team champions. "Mami" reminds Flair and Bliss that last week she fell into Fatal Influence's trap by facing Jacy Jayne alone. That's why she suggests putting aside any differences they may have to equalize forces against SmackDown's new faction. Alexa thanks her for the proposal, but Charlotte refuses to accept. "The Queen" is aware that they have joined forces in the past, but that doesn't mean it will happen again. Charlotte points out that she only needs one person by her side: her best friend, Alexa. With that said, she asks Bliss to accompany her to the ring. Alexa apologizes to Rhea for her partner's attitude. Flair and Bliss take the stage, ending this segment.
Fatal Influence make their entrance. Jacy Jayne takes the floor, only to be booed by the Tulsa fans. Jayne makes it clear that last week they showed a preview of what Fatal Influence has planned for SmackDown. Jacy directs her attention to the ring, where their opponents for tonight are already waiting. Jayne believes that Charlotte did not have enough last week, and she likes that, because there is nothing her faction enjoys more than humiliating legends. "Lainey, Fallon, and yours truly, Jacy Jayne, are going to finish off your beloved legends one by one. And who better than Charlotte Flair to start? Woooooo!", exclaims Jacy.

Suddenly, Rhea Ripley bursts onto the scene! The Australian gets rid of Henley with a superkick on the entrance ramp before climbing into the ring. Another kick leaves Reid out of the game. Ripley executes a headbutt on Jacy before preparing her for the Riptide. However, Jayne manages to escape by pushing "Mami" against Flair. Rhea stops before hitting "The Queen". Solo points out that Jacob's family is also his, and they are not here tonight because of him. "When you enter this building, you are a dead man," promises Sikoa.
UUUUUUSSSSSOOOOO!
Jimmy and Jey Uso interrupt Sikoa's promo. The former tag team champions head to the ring to meet their younger brother. Jimmy reminds him that he is not the only one with problems with Jacob. However, the biggest mistake made by "The Samoan Werewolf" was not attacking MFT, but laying hands on Roman Reigns. Jey adds that he also did it using the Tongan Death Grip, a move that has been passed down from generation to generation. "Your father used that move, Talla," he says. Jey knows that Solo has unfinished business with Jacob, but he will have to wait for "The OTC" to finish with him first. Sikoa points out that everyone can have a piece of "The Samoan Werewolf." Sami doesn't understand why "The American Nightmare" called him "sarcastic" and "condescending" just for saying that Rhodes is a "golden boy." "Cody, that's not an insult. It's a compliment. It's what you want. You wanted to be the golden boy, right? We all want to be," says the Canadian. In addition, they are friends and "the last true good guys" left in this place. "There is a lot of truth in what you say, Sami, but let's be clear about one thing: we are not the same," replies Cody before leaving.

You’re not even in the same league," says The Miz. Wilson begs him to give him a chance. He has even written him a poem: "Danhausen, you don’t belong in this building. "To start with, I can’t think of a worse way to spend my birthday," Tiffany says. Green then suggests talking about her title reign. Giulia and Kiana James interrupt the conversation. Sami Zayn makes his way to the ring, where the "Gingerbread Man" costume awaits him. Zayn still doesn’t understand why the fans are booing him. However, he knows there are still loyal supporters who continue to back him both at home and in the arena. What he cannot tolerate is the disrespect embodied by the "Gingerbread Man." And yes, it may be funny, but the truth is that costume represents Trick Williams more than the Canadian. Sami says Williams has taken the easy path: having a great entrance, some dance moves, and a few catchphrases. But he doesn’t take anything seriously. Sami, on the other hand, has taken the hard road: showing up every week and giving his all night after night. Zayn reiterates that the "Gingerbread Man" is nothing but a sign of disrespect, admitting that nothing makes him want to hit it more when he sees it. But what is he doing? It’s just an inanimate object, a costume. Zayn approaches it to shake its hand and apologize for his behavior. Suddenly, the Canadian delivers a low blow! Byron Saxton interviews The Irresistible Forces backstage. Nia Jax reminds everyone that Brie Bella and Paige won the tag team titles by defeating Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, not them. Lash Legend admits they were caught off guard at WrestleMania, as they were prepared to face The Bella Twins, not Brie and Paige. But that no longer matters, because tonight they have a plan. Nia promises they will send Brie straight to the couch to keep her sister Nikki company. The challengers walk off, ending the interview.
Cathy Kelley interviews Trick Williams outside the medical room. "Sami, this time you went too far," says Trick. First he attacked Lil Yachty and now the "Gingerbread Man." "Nobody touches the Gingerbread Man," he says. Williams makes it clear he won’t tolerate anyone interfering in his business. "And Sami, you better pray the Gingerbread Man is okay, because otherwise we’re going to have a much bigger problem," Trick says before announcing he will defend the United States Championship against the Canadian at WWE Backlash. "I beat you on the grandest stage of them all, and I have no problem doing it again," he adds. A doctor appears to inform Trick that the "Gingerbread Man" has passed away. "Sami, at Backlash, I’m going to Whoop that Trick," says the champion before leaving.

WWE pays tribute to the short life of the "Gingerbread Man" with an emotional "In Memoriam." Rest in pieces.
Sami Zayn speaks with Nick Aldis in the General Manager’s office. The Canadian believes the "Gingerbread Man" joke has gone too far, especially with the announcement of a funeral for the character on the next episode of SmackDown. "I understand you’re upset, but try to show some respect. Everyone is mourning," says the Brit. Sami is tired of Williams and his mind games, so he wants to end this once and for all.
