Willow Nightingale retained the TBS Championship after defeating Anna Jay in one of the most outstanding matches of the latest episode of AEW Collision, which took place last night at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois. Despite her clear superiority, Willow had to face a tough challenger who put her in trouble at various stages of the match.

Match development

Anna sought a quick victory as soon as the bell rang, but the champion was not going to make it easy for her. "Show me your fire!", exclaimed Willow. Her words led the challenger to intensify her offense, but it was still not enough to put Nightingale in trouble. Jay dodged the impact of a senton to start an effective counterattack, but it came to an end at ringside when Willow knocked her down with an apron cannonball.

Nightingale continued to dominate the match upon returning to the ring. Anna gathered strength to start a counterattack that put the champion in trouble. She responded harshly in one of the corners, where she crushed Jay before applying a superplex + Death Valley Driver combo. However, Anna was able to interrupt the subsequent three count.

Jay still had time to try once more, with a superkick + faceplant combo that almost gave her the victory. Anna then trapped the champion in the Queen's Slayer. Willow carried her opponent on her back to launch herself against one of the corners and thus achieve her release. Nightingale caught Anna, ready to execute a powerslam, but the challenger was able to escape. However, Willow caught her again to finish her off with a definitive Babe with the Power Bomb.

Thus, Nightingale adds her ninth title defense in her second reign as TBS Champion. A title she won 123 days ago after defeating Mercedes Moné in the last episode of AEW Dynamite in 2025. As a curious fact, last night was the seventh occasion in which Jay competed for the TBS Championship.
