A few hours ago it was confirmed that WWE has removed Roman Reigns from all its programming for the month of June. Although the "Tribal Chief" was originally announced to appear in several editions of Monday Night Raw, the company updated its promotional material by erasing his name from all dates, both in the United States and abroad.
The reason for this change is that Reigns is no longer scheduled to participate in the Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia on June 27. According to Dave Meltzer, since he does not have a match planned in the country, management decided that it doesn't make sense to include him in the television programs leading up to that event.
This rest plan could vary depending on what happens at Backlash, where Reigns will defend his title. If he manages to retain the championship, his absence in June will be final; otherwise, a loss could force WWE to change its strategy and add new dates to develop the storyline.
Although Roman was expected to have a busy schedule after WrestleMania 42, the decision to leave him out of the show in Riyadh immediately halted his appearances. For now, everything seems to indicate that the champion does not have any scheduled television commitments once the storyline cycle of May ends.
