The former EVIL, former NJPW world champion, will officially debut next week in NXT under the name Naraku. In the video released this Tuesday, he talked about his career in Japan, the titles he won there, and his intention to be part of this new stage of opportunities in the brand.

During the message, Naraku directly pointed to Tony D'Angelo, saying that the champion is sitting at the top of NXT with the title he wants. He also made it clear that he didn't come with a gift, but with a proclamation: they will both end up crossing paths in combat.

The name is surprising because during the day there were reports circulating that pointed to Nox Raijin as his WWE name, and even that alias had been registered by the company. Finally, WWE decided to go in another direction and close the video with the text: "Naraku debuts next week".

The presentation immediately places him in a main storyline and keeps the dark tone of his character alive, now adapted to the WWE universe. If his debut in the ring lives up to the expectation he has already generated, NXT could add another heavyweight rival for the champion.
