AJ Styles has praised the work of Danhausen in WWE just a few months after his debut, highlighting that his presence brings exactly the kind of variety that professional wrestling needs. On The Phenomenally Retro Podcast, Styles defended the value of entertainment within wrestling and pointed out that Danhausen fits perfectly into that more comedic part of the product.

He is doing a great job, and this is what we need”, Styles summarized, emphasizing that the business should offer wrestling, storytelling, and also moments to make the audience laugh. According to him, Danhausen is fulfilling that need very well within WWE.

Styles also talked about his new role after retiring from active competition and mentioned that he has been helping in the production of Evolve. He noted that he even put on headphones to call the match for television when a producer needed extra support, and the experience ended up being positive because he intervened just enough to guide cameras and positions.

He is doing a great job, and that is exactly what we need. Many people don't understand it. We need a bit of everything. We want to make sure you enjoy the wrestling show, but we also want to make you laugh, and we have the storylines. We want to offer you a bit of everything. Danhausen is definitely fulfilling that need.

Danhausen debuted in WWE at Elimination Chamber and has already competed in his first match at a Premium Live Event at Backlash. Meanwhile, Styles continues to expand his influence in the developmental part of the company, where he is now looking to help polish young talents.

The combination of a figure as serene as Styles with a character as quirky as Danhausen makes it clear that WWE continues to bet on mixing very different styles to enrich its programming. And for now, Styles seems fully convinced that this approach is working.
