WWE is celebrating a new episode of Monday Night Raw tonight, this time number 1,720, from the Food City Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. This will be the first show of the red brand after WWE Backlash and will be broadcast live on Netflix. Solowrestling will bring you the results in this news as every week.
Tonight's episode will feature several matches and segments of interest, highlighting a ceremony in which Jacob Fatu will have to acknowledge Roman Reigns as his "Tribal Chief." Additionally, Joe Hendry and The Street Profits will join forces against The Vision in a tag team match. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened in the show.
WWE Raw begins on Netflix!
We see a recap video of WWE Backlash.
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists at the venue: Paige and Brie Bella, Oba Femi, IYO SKY, Joe Hendry, and The Street Profits.
Roman Reigns arrives at the venue's parking lot. "The OTC" is greeted by Adam Pearce. He is aware that Roman wants Jacob Fatu, but after what happened at Backlash, the General Manager doesn't believe he should be here tonight. "First of all, where is my title? It should be in my hands right now," Reigns asks. Adam asks someone to bring the championship, which soon appears. Pearce insists that Fatu should not be present on the show tonight. Roman disagrees. Jacob must acknowledge him. Reigns asks Adam who gave the green light to "The Samoan Werewolf" to join the company. "It was you," Pearce replies. "Well, I'll be the one to get him out of here," says "The OTC" before entering his private dressing room.
The Vision as a whole make their entrance in the ring. The audience greets them with boos. These intensify when Paul Heyman takes the floor. "The Wiseman" welcomes us to Monday Night Raw. And what better way to do it than with the best talent of the brand, because Bron Breakker proved to be ready at WWE Backlash. Quite the opposite of Seth Rollins, who was never prepared for the wisdom of "The Wiseman." In fact, "The Visionary" has shown that he will never have the vision necessary to defeat any of the members of this faction. That is why he proposes to remove any reference to Seth's time in The Vision from history. "We will never have a reason to mention Seth Freakin Rollins' name again," he states. That said, he gives the floor to the Tag Team Champions, who have something to say.
Austin Theory points out that The Street Profits have not stopped interfering in their affairs. And it's because they desperately need their titles. And he understands, as Bianca (Belair) can no longer pay the bills. As for Joe Hendry...
The Street Profits, Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins, interrupt the promo!
Ford admits that Bianca can't pay the bills because she's too busy gestating her baby. So someone had to come to Knoxville to kick The Vision's butt. In addition, they are The Street Profits. They always want the smoke! Logan Paul acknowledges that Ford and Dawkins are a legendary team in WWE, but they are now a thing of the past. The ones that matter now are them, The Vision. The ones who have been running this place for the last six months while Montez and Angelo were organizing a baby shower. "Bro, your girl is better than you. And you want the smoke? Then we can bring it here, because I'm tired of this," says Logan to Ford. Paul ensures that The Vision is always ready to fight. Bron, Austin, and himself, who was prepared even before being born.
Joe Hendry interrupts the promo from the stands to sing the chorus of his latest hit. "Paul, Paul. Can we fire Logan Paul?", hums the Scotsman with a guitar in his hands as he climbs onto the commentary table. Annoyed, Theory tries to attack Joe, but he prevents it with a kick. Hendry takes Austin inside the ring, where the scheduled tag team match begins tonight.
Tag Team Match
The Vision (Bron Breaker, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory) (with Paul Heyman) vs. The Street Profits and Joe Hendry
Theory and Ford start the fight. Both engage in an initial feeling-out phase that ends with Montez knocking Austin down with a shoulder tackle. Ford finishes him off with a standing moonsault. Angelo receives the relay to continue the punishment. Theory manages to reach his corner to give the relay to Logan. Bron picks up Montez over his head to throw him towards Paul, who receives him with a right hand. "The Maverick" continues to punish Ford, whom he catches in a headlock.
Montez dodges a corner splash to give the relay to Joe. He catches Logan to apply a Freak of Nature on him. Austin intervenes, allowing his partner to recover. Paul hits the Scotsman from behind, preventing him from applying a Freak of Nature to Theory. Bron receives the relay to continue hitting Hendry. Breaker applies a german suplex to the Scotsman. 1..2..NO. Bron smiles.
Bron allows Hendry to hit him to respond forcefully. Breaker and Theory perform a double suplex on Joe. Austin covers him. 1..2..NO. Paul receives the relay. Both knock down Hendry with a double clothesline to pose in front of the fans. "The Maverick" catches Joe in a headlock. Logan looks for a suplex, but it is his opponent who applies the move. Both end up lying on the canvas.
Montez receives the relay to enter with everything. Ford expels Breaker from the ring before throwing himself on him with a tope. Montez returns to fight with Austin, whom he hits with a scoop powerslam. 1..2..NO. Austin and Ford exchange kicks. Angelo carries Theory on his shoulders, ready to execute a Doomsday Blockbuster with Ford, but Logan pushes the latter to make him fall to ringside.
Dawkins takes his revenge by giving a right hand to Paul, who also ends up at ringside. Hendry charges against "The Maverick," but he dodges it, causing the Scotsman to hit the metal stairs. Bron runs towards Ford, ready to execute a spear, but Seth Rollins appears out of nowhere to hit him! Angelo takes advantage of the distraction to surprise Austin with a roll-up. 1..2..3.
Winners: The Street Profits and Joe Hendry
An angry Austin attacks Angelo as soon as the bell rings. Seth enters the ring to help Dawkins. Rollins throws Theory out of the ring before approaching Angelo, whom he helps to stand up. Suddenly, Bron returns to the ring to execute a spear on Seth, but he dodges it, causing Dawkins to receive the attack. Rollins performs a superkick on Breaker, who ends up outside the ring. Montez returns to face "The Visionary." Both men push each other. Meanwhile, The Vision retreats backstage.
Original El Grande Americano and The American Brothers talk to Adam Pearce backstage. The Raw General Manager wants to make sure that Bruto and Julio's names are correct. Liv Morgan and Dominik Mysterio appear on the scene. Morgan wants to know what Pearce has prepared for the most important rising star in WWE history. Original El Grande Americano points to The Judgment Day members who interrupted their meeting with Adam. Liv advises him to take off his mask so he can see who he's talking to. Original El Grande Americano is not in the mood for this kind of joke. He is dealing with a serious wrestling matter. "You're not even a real wrestler," says Dominik. Offended, Original El Grande Americano confronts Mysterio. Pearce intervenes to restore order. The General Manager agrees with Morgan. Dom needs a title shot. And, since he is the AAA Megachampion, tonight he will put the gold on the line... against Original El Grande Americano! Liv and Dominik try to explain that they didn't mean this, but the decision has been made. Pearce turns around to find Los Garza (Angel and Berto) who also want an opportunity. Adam invites them to join him to discuss it.
Penta makes his entrance in the ring. The Mexican takes the microphone to remind that someone was talking about his Intercontinental Championship last week. "Ethan Page! Penta is a fighting champion. Listen! Why don't you come out here and tell me to my face? Let's go!", exclaims the Mexican.
"'All Ego" makes his entrance!
Ethan believes that Penta is very brave to come out demanding the presence of another person. Especially being a man who hides his face under makeup and a mask. He, on the other hand, doesn't have to hide his identity. "My name is 'All Ego' Ethan Page and I come from the greatest country on Earth, Canada!", exclaims Page. He recalls that he defeated the Intercontinental Champion in that same ring last week, so he would expect to receive a title shot. However, perhaps Penta is afraid of losing again. "Ethan... Listen, buddy. I'm not afraid to defend my title against you. You know what? Let's fight now!", exclaims the Mexican. Page acknowledges that Penta is a man of his word. However, unlike the Mexican, he is not ready to fight. Also, it seems that the masked man does not understand the importance of the championship he holds. It is a belt that propels the big stars. And Penta can be sure that he is looking at the next WWE mega-star. That said, he proposes to have the match on May 23 at Saturday Night's Main Event, a show where the title can shine as it deserves. "Ethan, do you see this title? Do you want it? You have to work hard, buddy. Just so you know, Penta is always ready for war. I'll face you at any time. You know why? Because I am Penta el Cero M...!", he exclaims.
Rusev interrupts the segment!
Rusev admits that Page entertains him, but he doesn't deserve a title shot. Also, if "All Ego" could cover Penta last week, it's because he smashed his head against the commentary table. That said, he hopes Ethan is careful with what he's going to say next. Page agrees with the Bulgarian. In fact, he already told Adam Pearce that he had no intention of skipping the line, especially since he just arrived on the roster. Of course, Rusev deserves that opportunity more than anyone. But then Je'Von Evans came to say that Rusev doesn't deserve it, that he's not good enough. "I quote verbatim: 'why would Rusev have a title shot when he can't even beat me?'", says "All Ego".
Evans appears on the scene!
Je'Von can't believe what he's hearing. Evans assures that Ethan is lying. Evans knows as well as he does that he didn't say anything to Pearce about Rusev... although it's true that the Bulgarian can't beat him. Upset, Rusev confronts Evans. Page takes advantage to push Je'Von, who in turn collides with the Bulgarian. Penta kicks Ethan with a superkick before throwing him out of the ring with a clothesline. The Mexican throws himself at Ethan with a tope. Meanwhile, Evans expels Rusev from the ring on the opposite side. Je'Von throws himself against him with a suicide dive. Evans returns to the ring to celebrate with Penta.
Adam Pearce appears on the scene. The General Manager understands that Rusev wants to fight, just like Je'Von. That's why he announces that they will face each other one on one here and now. The Bulgarian runs towards the ring, but Evans receives him with a kick. Rusev tries to recover in one of the corners while the match referee takes position.
Rusev vs. Je'Von Evans
Je'Von surprises Rusev with a running kick as soon as the bell rings. Dazed, the Bulgarian decides to head backstage. Evans gets out of the ring to prevent him, starting a fight. Rusev throws Je'Von against the metal stairs to turn the situation around. Rusev takes Evans inside the ring to continue his punishment.
Rusev uses the ropes to harm his opponent. He throws several right hands at the Bulgarian, who responds with a spinning kick. Rusev performs several suplexes on Je'Von before taking him to the top of one of the corners. However, Evans makes him fall to launch himself with a corkscrew senton. Je'Von continues his offensive, expelling his rival from the ring with a dropkick. Evans tries to throw himself with a suicide dive, but Rusev stops him with a right hand. The Bulgarian catches him to apply a Fallaway Slam on the commentary table. "He's just a kid. He's just a kid," says Rusev looking at the camera.
Rusev throws Je'Von into one of the ring posts before grabbing one of the commentators' chairs. Rusev seems determined to smash it into his opponent. The referee convinces the Bulgarian to put the chair down, allowing Evans to launch himself at him. Je'Von unleashes a flurry of punches on his rival before taking him back inside the ring. Evans re-enters the squared circle, but Rusev greets him with a barrage of kicks.
Rusev applies a headlock on Je'Von. He tries to break free, but the Bulgarian responds with another series of kicks. Rusev spreads his arms, allowing Evans to attack him. However, his strikes barely affect the Bulgarian. Je'Von dodges a charge in the corner before responding with a superkick. Evans sends Rusev into one of the turnbuckles before executing a springboard clothesline. 1..2..NO.
Rusev recovers and immediately targets his opponent’s back. Je'Von lands a superkick before going for an OG Cutter, but Rusev catches him mid-air and counters with an uranage. Rusev follows up with a Machka Kick. 1..2..NO. Rusev tries to lock in the Accolade, but his opponent prevents it. Je'Von sends Rusev out of the ring with a handspring enzuigiri before diving onto him with a tope. Evans takes him back into the ring and finishes him off with an OG Cutter. 1..2..3.
Winner: Je'Von Evans
We see a promotional video focused on the history of the AAA Mega Championship.
Asuka approaches IYO SKY backstage. The two embrace. "I was looking for someone to take my place. You finally became that person. I'm so glad it was you. I'm proud of you," says Asuka. "Even if we fight, we’ll always be family. Goodbye, Asuka-san," IYO replies as she hugs her again. "See you later," Asuka responds. She kisses SKY on the forehead before leaving the arena. SKY waves goodbye as she silently watches her walk away. That brings the segment to an end.
Brie Bella and Paige make their entrance to the ring. Brie recalls that Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez called them out last week. So here they are, carrying the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. Paige agrees with her partner. They’re here. But where is The Judgment Day? Brie calls them out, hoping they come to the ring so they can say whatever they have to say.
Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez make their entrance!
"Brie. Paige. Welcome to OUR show," says Raquel before thanking them for stopping by during their "nostalgia tour." Roxanne says she’s "excited" to stand face-to-face with two women she used to watch on television as a child. "You know, back when you were still young and relevant," says Perez. She recalls something Brie once told her: that she would carry on the Bella legacy... until she realized Brie was setting the bar way too low. "A bar that low? I think you're confusing me with Liv Morgan," Brie responds. She expected Perez to create her own legacy, not become a footnote in The Judgment Day’s story. "I get the feeling there’s someone more disappointed in you than I am... your mom," Brie says. Roxy steps up to the champion, but Rodriguez stops her.
Raquel turns her attention to Paige, describing her as a woman who has been given countless opportunities only to throw them away. Now she wonders when Paige’s next scandal will happen. Maybe the best thing would be for them to stop wasting everyone’s time and just hand over the titles. "Save yourselves the humiliation and just give us those championships, because there’s nothing sadder than two washed-up women carrying gold they don’t deserve," she says.
Angered, Paige throws a right hand at Rodriguez, starting a brawl. The champions take control, but suddenly, Liv Morgan rushes onto the scene and surprises Paige with a facebreaker. Perez takes out Brie with a Satomura Special. She then holds Paige in place so she can combine with Raquel. The two deliver a Russian Leg Sweep + Big Boot combo on the Brit. Liv, Roxanne, and Raquel pose with all the women’s gold to end the segment.
We head to Roman Reigns’ private locker room, where he is soon visited by Jimmy Uso. Roman asks where his brother is. Jimmy tells him that Jey stayed in the arena parking lot to wait for Jacob Fatu. That way, he’ll try to convince him not to come to the ring tonight. Reigns asks why. Jimmy reminds him that he fought Jacob in an all-out war this past Saturday. One that Roman won, despite being left battered because of his opponent’s brutality. That’s why things should stay the way they are. "The OTC" disagrees. He and Fatu had a deal in which "The Samoan Werewolf" had to acknowledge his "Tribal Chief" if he lost. There has to be order, where promises are kept. That’s the only way to maintain the respect of those at the top. If there’s no respect within the family itself, there will never be respect outside of it. "He has to acknowledge me," he says. Jimmy understands, so he decides to go look for Jey and tell him.
Dominik Mysterio stars in a promotional video ahead of tonight’s title defense. Dominik reminds everyone that he has held the AAA Mega Championship for eight months, during which he has dominated all challengers. "AAA is the pinnacle of professional wrestling. I’ve surpassed everything my deadbeat dad ever accomplished, proving why I am El Rey de los Luchadores. Grande Americano, you will never be a true wrestler. You will never lay your hands on my AAA Mega Championship," he says.
IYO SKY vs. Sol Ruca
Both women struggle for control as they exchange holds. Sol shows off her athleticism to surprise the Japanese star with a hurricanrana. Ruca plants SKY with a facebuster before "surfing" on her back. SKY blocks another hurricanrana, leaving her opponent balanced with her hands on the mat. IYO takes her down with a dropkick straight to the stomach.
"The Genius of the Sky" traps Sol in a headlock. Ruca breaks free and takes the action to the apron. Sol knocks her rival down before using the ring post to launch herself with a moonsault. SKY avoids it and responds with a beautiful hurricanrana. "IYO, IYO!" chant the fans. The Japanese star brings her opponent back into the ring. Suddenly, Sol surprises SKY with a tornillo. Ruca takes the Japanese wrestler back inside the ring and traps her in La Tapatía. IYO screams in pain. Ruca kicks SKY in the back of the neck before releasing the hold.
IYO stops Sol’s offense with a kick before planting her with a facebuster. "IYO, IYO!" the fans chant once again. SKY delivers a painful double underhook backbreaker to Sol. 1..2..NO. The action moves to one of the corners. Sol catches IYO, ready to hit a superplex, but the Japanese star blocks it. Now it’s SKY who catches Ruca to execute a Spanish Fly. 1...2...NO.
IYO and Sol exchange attacks in the center of the ring. SKY gains the upper hand, only to be surprised by a variation of a Blue Thunder Bomb. 1..2..NO. IYO kicks Ruca in one of the corners before launching herself with a Missile Dropkick. SKY tries to finish her off with a running meteora, but Sol avoids it. Now it’s Ruca who looks to hit a german suplex, but IYO reverses the situation and stomps her with a double foot stomp. IYO heads to the top rope to execute her finisher, but Ruca shoves her away to stop it.
IYO dodges a kick from Sol before smashing her leg against the ropes. She then throws herself at her opponent. Sol avoids the attack and sends her toward one of the corners, where she connects with a beautiful springboard DDT. 1..2..NO. SKY recovers and sends her rival into the opposite corner. IYO hits a running meteora, followed by an Over the Moonsault, but Sol gets her knees up. Ruca runs toward the corner to hit a Sol Snatcher, but IYO barely moves out of the way and catches her opponent with a Crucifix Pin. 1..2..3.
Winner: IYO SKY
SKY helps Sol back to her feet. The two women embrace, showing mutual respect.
Jimmy Uso approaches Jey in the arena parking lot. Jimmy is worried about what could happen tonight if Jacob Fatu shows up and refuses to acknowledge Roman Reigns as his "Tribal Chief." Jimmy laments how stressful Samoan family business can be. "Hey, man. Our family is the reason we’re here today," says Jey. Jimmy decides to return to Roman while Jey continues waiting for Jacob’s arrival.
Two title matches are announced for Saturday Night's Main Event:
Jackie Redmond interviews The Street Profits backstage. Angelo Dawkins is more than happy with WWE’s announcement, as their return to programming was driven by one goal only: winning the World Tag Team Championships. Suddenly, Seth Rollins appears on the scene. "The Visionary" asks Dawkins and Montez Ford if they really want to take the titles away from The Vision. If so, he thinks they should have a conversation about it. However, Ford wants nothing to do with him. Angelo believes they should hear him out, but his partner completely refuses. "He told us to stay out of his way and he’d stay out of ours. Isn’t that right?" Ford asks. "I said that, and I was wrong," Rollins replies. Montez admits that everything people say about Seth is true, including the fact that he’s one of the best talents of his generation. "You know what else they say? That you can’t be trusted. We don’t need your help to win the tag team championships. You can count on that," says Montez before walking away. Dawkins silently stares at Seth before following his partner.
Byron Saxton interviews the women of The Judgment Day in the crowd area. Liv Morgan takes the mic to make it clear that she’s not just Liv Morgan. She is THE Liv Morgan, the greatest Women’s World Champion of aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall time. Plus, standing beside her are the future WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions, so she expects the fans to show them the proper respect. Raquel Rodriguez asks Saxton if he saw what they did to Paige and Brie Bella tonight. Raquel boasts about knocking out the champions, making it clear that their goal is to take the titles from them. And if anyone still doubted them, she’s convinced they’ve changed their minds now. Byron asks Roxanne Perez what it takes to win the championships. "The Prodigy" replies that all you need is confidence. And that’s something families like The Judgment Day have. With that said, she promises that next week they’ll win the titles and continue running Monday Night Raw. That brings the segment to an end.
IYO SKY approaches a battered Sol Ruca to congratulate her on tonight’s match. "You are the future," says "The Genius of the Sky." She hopes they can face each other again someday. Sol shakes IYO’s hand and thanks her for the words. SKY walks away, only for Becky Lynch to appear. "So you’re supposed to be the next big thing, huh? You couldn’t even beat IYO Jannetty. I guess those bright lights are just too much for you," says "The Man" with a laugh before walking away.
Oba Femi makes his entrance. "Ooooooooooba, Ooooooooooooooba!" chant the fans as the Nigerian heads toward the ring. "The time has come. Oba Femi’s open challenge begins now," says "The Ruler." However, it’s Adam Pearce who appears instead. The General Manager regrets informing him that nobody will accept his open challenge tonight, so it has been canceled. The fans boo loudly. Frustrated, Oba leaves the ring and heads backstage. "Everyone is a coward!" he yells. Suddenly, Femi runs into Los Garza and immediately attacks them. Oba drags both men toward the ring. Once there, he orders the referee to ring the bell.
Handicap Match
Oba Femi vs. Los Garza (Angel and Berto)
Femi crushes Angel and Berto in opposite corners with rapid-fire corner uppercuts. Oba throws Angel onto Berto. Berto avoids his cousin, who tumbles out to ringside. Femi catches Berto and gives him the same punishment as Angel. After that, he finishes him off with a Fall From Grace. 1..2..3.
Winner: Oba Femi
Original El Grande Americano stars in a promotional video ahead of tonight’s title match. "The AAA Mega Championship is synonymous with prestige and honor, and it deserves to be around the waist of a true master of lucha libre. And you, Dirty Dom, do not fit that description. So tonight, when I pin you -One. Two. Three- in the center of that ring, we will witness the birth of a new AAA Mega Champion: The Original El Grande Americano," he says.
We head backstage. Dominik Mysterio makes his way toward the ring alongside JD McDonagh. Suddenly, Finn Bálor attacks McDonagh! Bálor assaults his former friend, throwing him into several production crates. He finally tosses him aside like a ragdoll. Finn then approaches Dominik. "Don’t you have a match tonight?" Finn asks with a smile on his face. "Looks like you’ll have to go out there alone, buddy." "I can handle it. I’ve got gold to defend. Something you know nothing about," replies a worried Mysterio before heading toward the ring.
AAA Mega Championship Match
Dominik Mysterio vs. Original El Grande Americano
Original El Grande Americano knocks Mysterio down with a shoulder tackle before trapping him in an Ankle Lock. Dominik manages to escape the hold, but quickly falls back into the masked man’s grasp. Original El Grande Americano executes a bridging suplex. The challenger traps Dominik in a wristlock. Mysterio breaks free and sends his opponent toward the top turnbuckle. However, Original El Grande Americano surprises him with a rope-assisted armbar.
The action spills onto the apron. Both men struggle for control. Mysterio surprises Original El Grande Americano with a shove, causing his head to smash into one of the ring posts. Dominik brings Original El Grande Americano back inside the ring to continue his offense. Mysterio hits The Three Amigos on his opponent. The challenger blocks the third suplex, only to be slammed back onto the mat. Dominik kicks Original El Grande Americano with the help of the ropes. Mysterio follows up with a springboard senton. 1..2..NO.

Original El Grande Americano goes after him and surprises him with a superplex. Both men are left laid out on the canvas. Mysterio sends Original El Grande Americano into the ropes to set up a 619. However, the masked wrestler avoids it and responds with a Death Valley Driver, followed by a moonsault. 1..2..NO.

Original El Grande Americano responds with an exploder suplex, followed by a german suplex hold. 1..2..NO. Original El Grande Americano heads to the top rope when Rayo and Bravo Americano appear on the scene. The referee gets distracted by them, allowing El Grande Americano to attack his nemesis illegally. Dominik takes advantage and plants Original El Grande Americano with a tornado DDT. 1..2..NO.
Los Americanos Hermanos storm onto the scene and start brawling with Los Americanos. Meanwhile, the action continues in the ring. Original El Grande Americano tries to rip the mask off El Grande Americano. Dominik takes advantage to surprise Original El Grande Americano with a 619. The challenger is left laid out on the mat, where he’s hit with a decisive frog splash. 1..2..3.
Winner and STILL AAA Mega Champion: Dominik Mysterio
Jackie Redmond interviews Logan Paul and Austin Theory in the arena parking lot. Redmond asks them about their rivalry with The Street Profits, which seems far from over. Annoyed by the question, Logan admits he’d rather not have Jackie in his sight. With that said, he once again complains about the song Joe Hendry dedicated to him. "If I have to hear that song one more time, I’m gonna pull a Vincent Van Gogh. Okay, Jackie? I’ll cut my ears off!" exclaims "The Maverick" before insisting Hendry has no musical talent whatsoever. Austin calms his partner down, suggesting they get in the car so they can find somewhere to eat dinner. Redmond asks Austin how he plans to prepare for the title defense against The Street Profits. "Want a ride?" Austin asks Jackie instead of answering the question. Redmond declines the offer. Austin gets into the car, where Maxxine Dupri is also sitting. The vehicle drives off as Jackie wraps up the segment.
Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso make their entrance. The fans greet "The OTC" with a thunderous ovation. Roman raises his World Heavyweight Championship as fireworks explode throughout the arena. Reigns and Jimmy continue their walk toward the ring. Roman soaks in the crowd chants alongside his cousin. "Knoxville, Tennessee, ACKNOWLEDGE ME!" he yells. "OTC, OTC!" chant the fans. At that moment, Jacob Fatu arrives at the arena.
Jey Uso approaches Fatu to try and convince him to turn around. However, "The Samoan Werewolf" keeps walking while ignoring his cousin. Jey insists he shouldn’t head to the ring because it’ll only make things worse for the family. "I know what you’re thinking, but you gotta be smart, Jacob," says Jey. Tired of being ignored, Jey steps in front of Fatu before he can leave the Gorilla Position. "Uce, listen to me! Be smart, Uce!" Jey shouts. Suddenly, Jacob knocks him out with a headbutt. Fatu delivers three more headbutts before turning toward the camera. "What do you think!? You want me to go out there and acknowledge you, Roman!? Hell no! You’re gonna have to beat that acknowledgment out of me!" shouts "The Samoan Werewolf" before heading out to the stage.
Jimmy approaches Jacob on the entrance ramp in one last attempt to reason with him. Instead, he gets blasted with a right hand from his cousin. Fatu repeatedly throws Jimmy into the crowd barricade before continuing down the ramp. Fatu climbs onto the apron. From there, he locks eyes with Roman. After a few tense seconds, "The Samoan Werewolf" steps into the ring, and a massive brawl erupts.
Jacob knocks Reigns down before sending him out of the ring with a clothesline. Fatu gets ready to dive with a suicide dive, but Roman stops him with a right hand. Reigns grabs a steel chair and uses it as a weapon against his cousin. Roman repeatedly smashes Jacob with the chair. Satisfied with the damage, he prepares to finish him with a spear, but Fatu stops him with a superkick. Jacob traps Reigns in a Tongan Death Grip and sends him crashing out of the ring once again. He then follows up with a suicide dive.
Fatu hurls Roman into the crowd barricade. "Acknowledge what!? You’re gonna leave me and my family with nothing!" he screams before kicking him. Jacob grabs the champion and throws him into the steel steps. "We want tables!" chant the fans. "The Samoan Werewolf" clears off the announce table, giving Reigns the chance to surprise him with a Superman Punch. "OTC, OTC!" the crowd now chants. Roman goes for another Superman Punch, but Jacob catches him with the Tongan Death Grip. Without letting go of his prey, Fatu powerbombs Roman through the table, shattering it into pieces.
Several officials rush out to assist the champion. However, Jacob shoves them aside to continue the assault. Adam Pearce grabs Jacob to pull him away from Roman, but only succeeds in getting violently shoved aside by "The Samoan Werewolf". Jacob charges at "The OTC" to continue punishing him. Once satisfied -and after shoving the Raw General Manager a second time- Fatu returns to the ring and picks up the World Heavyweight Championship. Jacob licks the title belt before posing with it. He then leaves the ring and heads backstage.
"I keep trying everything! I’m different! Yeah! I’m all gas and no brakes!" shouts Jacob. Suddenly, Fatu turns around and sprints back toward ringside, where Jimmy and Jey are helping Roman back to his feet. "The Samoan Werewolf" crashes into all three men, destroying the crowd barricade in the process. Roman and The Usos remain laid out on the floor as Jacob heads back backstage. And with that, this week’s episode of WWE Raw comes to an end.
