Baron Corbin could be close to returning to WWE, according to a new report. Dave Meltzer commented on the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Radio that he has been able to confirm that the issue has been discussed "very seriously", although they have not officially confirmed to him that the deal is closed yet.

Corbin left WWE in November 2024, when the company decided not to renew his contract and ended a 12-year tenure. Since then, he has remained active on the independent circuit under the name Bishop Dyer, and is currently one half of the MLW World Tag Team Champions alongside Donovan Dijak as part of The Skyscrapers.

During his time in WWE, Corbin won the United States Championship and the NXT Tag Team Championships. He was also a heavily utilized figure in various stages of the company, alternating between serious villain roles, brand rivalries, and support for midcard and main event storylines.

If his return is ultimately finalized, it would be a familiar addition for WWE at a time when the company continues to shuffle pieces both in the main roster and with talents who have recently departed from the company. For now, however, everything remains in the realm of internal discussions.
