Just as it burst into the professional wrestling business, All Elite Wrestling presented itself as a real alternative to the product offered by WWE. The difference between both companies was quickly reflected in their television programs, with the new promotion clearly betting on in-ring action. Essentially, it was about showcasing more matches and fewer promos.

Now, six years later, AEW finds itself in one of the best moments in its history, with a large part of the community praising its shows, especially its PPVs. MJF, one of the faces of All Elite Wrestling, explained on The Ariel Helwani Show what the current position of the company is due to and what sets it apart from WWE.

"We have an abundance of talent in the AEW locker room. The amount of incredible wrestlers we have is exhausting. We have, without a doubt, the best wrestling on television. It's not even close. I'm sorry. WWE has incredible wrestlers and they are putting on great matches. TNA has great wrestlers and they are putting on great matches. NXT has great wrestlers putting on great matches. I can look into this camera and clearly say that I feel we offer the best matches. It's not just a slogan, 'Where the best wrestle', it's a fact," he said.

"There came a point where, due to the bad image created in the past, for a while it was simply 'AEW is bad' because yes. There was a reason to say 'AEW is bad' because some silly things were happening. In 2026, there is nothing to say. We are offering great show after great show. Attendance is increasing year after year in most territories. PPV purchases are rising. I am about to participate in the main event of the second highest-grossing domestic PPV in the history of our company. Now, when you go on social media, if there is a post saying 'AEW is bad', before it was like: 'You're right. Forget AEW. I'll stick with TNA, MLW, or WWE'. Now it's like: 'You're not watching the show'. Just say you're not watching the show because you're not watching it. 'What's going on?' 'Nonsense'. You're not watching. And that's okay," he stated.

"I'm not going to sit here and pretend that our show is for everyone," he continued. "No product is for everyone, but right now we are in a spectacular moment because we are offering incredible matches, incredible rivalries, and incredible PPVs, and I honestly feel we have the best weekly wrestling program. Right now, wrestling fans are a bit disenchanted with WWE and TKO. There are a lot of people on that roster and in the office that I am a big fan of, but that is allowing those who have not made the leap yet to think: 'I'm drinking Diet Coke, I'll try Pepsi. Mmm. Not bad'".

"We are showcasing young and hungry talent right now, and they already feel like top stars, not projects. That is also what makes us the alternative. Don't get me wrong, we also have incredible guys who have created the essence of wrestling fandom as we know it. We have done an incredible job combining both things. We feel truly special and different," he said.

MJF concluded his explanation by pointing out what the most evident difference is between WWE's product and AEW's product for the viewer. "The most important reason of all is that, when I watch All Elite Wrestling, I don't feel like I'm watching someone play a character," stated "The Devil".
