Lucha Libre AAA and FOX bring us a new show tonight from the Juan de la Barrera Olympic Gymnasium in Mexico City. The event will feature two announced matches, highlighting a one-on-one between Laredo Kid and Rey Fenix with the AAA Cruiserweight World Championship on the line. As always, we invite you to leave your comments on what happens in the show.
Lucha Libre AAA starts on YouTube!
We see the arrival at the venue of some of tonight's protagonists: Dorian Roldán and Licenciada Marisela Peña, Laredo Kid, Rey Fenix, Original El Grande Americano and Los Americanos Hermanos, and Los Americanos.
We move to the ring, where we find Jesús Zuñiga, Marisela Peña, Dorian Roldán, and other company personalities (Bárbara González Briseño, Chessman, Texano Jr., and Cibernético). Much of the roster remains standing at ringside. Zuñiga welcomes us to a historic night for AAA before introducing a video. In it, a journey through the history of the company is shown leading up to tonight, where the future of AAA will begin.
Marisela Peña takes the floor to deliver a brief speech before the appointment of a new General Manager of AAA. "Someone who has inspired generations of fans and athletes. A great man who will lead AAA into a new and exciting era," she says. Roldán nods, expecting his mother to say his name. However...
Rey Mysterio makes his entrance!
The WWE Hall of Famer heads to the ring to a great ovation. Roldán can't believe it. Dominik Mysterio, who was watching the segment from a screen backstage, leaves the place furious and indignant. Rey greets several talents at ringside before entering the ring. Rey continues to greet those present, ending with Marisela Peña, whom he embraces.
Rey takes a microphone. "¡Mysterio, Mysterio!" chant the fans. Rey recalls his history with AAA. Thirty years ago, he arrived here with the sole purpose of getting an opportunity. AAA not only shaped him as a wrestler but also became his family. Today he is back with a new goal: to give back some of what he has been given. "¡Rey Mysterio! ¡Rey Mysterio!" chant the fans. Rey promises that together they will take AAA to heights never seen before. With that said, he points out that it's time to move on to the action. And for the first match of the night, they will have two of the best cruiserweight wrestlers. Rey introduces Rey Fenix, who promptly appears. And so we reach the end of the first segment of the night.

Winner and STILL AAA Cruiserweight World Champion: Laredo Kid
Kid celebrates his victory in the ring while a pained and furious Fenix watches him from a seated position next to the ropes. Laredo heads backstage to end this segment.
Rey Mysterio approaches Laredo Kid backstage. The AAA General Manager expresses his displeasure with the way Kid retained his championship tonight. "Here, championships are defended with prestige and honor. Not like what you did out there," he says. "It's about winning. This is wrestling. Winning is winning," Laredo replies. Mysterio insists on his stance. In fact, he wants to give him a new opportunity to defend his title with prestige and show everyone that he deserves to be its holder. That opportunity will come next week when he faces Rey Fenix once again on The Night of the Greats. "¡Is this serious!? ¡Is this serious!?" exclaims a furious Kid before leaving.

And that's why you are, and will always be, nothing more than Damn Shorty G, Shorty!," exclaims El Grande Americano.

That's why, regardless of what happened tonight, he guarantees that next week a mask will fall. Original El Grande Americano and El Grande Americano manage to break free from security to restart their fight. The chaos forces some of the AAA roster to intervene, but it's not enough to stop them. The chaos continues unleashed as the episode comes to an end.
