The King and Queen of the Ring tournaments will kick off next week on Raw, which will take place in Turin just one day after Clash in Italy. LA Knight came out to announce the start of both tournaments and made it clear that he himself wants to participate, as he aspires to a future title opportunity against Roman Reigns.
The announcement also led to a confrontation with Jimmy Uso, who questioned The Usos' relationship with Roman Reigns in recent months. Knight replied that if the "family business" becomes his problem, he will make sure that business closes.
WWE has not yet revealed the participants of either tournament, but has confirmed that the winner of each will receive a title match in the future. In addition, next week's Raw will start at a special time due to WWE's tour in Europe.
The 2025 edition left Cody Rhodes and Jade Cargill as the winners, and both ended up earning title opportunities at SummerSlam. Rhodes defeated John Cena to become WWE champion, while Cargill was unable to overcome Tiffany Stratton.
The company enters this new edition with the recent tradition of having the winners of these tournaments compete for gold on a big stage, something that has made King and Queen of the Ring a key stop on the calendar. After Clash in Italy, the next big event will be Night of Champions in Riyadh on June 27.
