AEW confirms Redemption for Montreal this summer

AEW has officially announced Redemption, a new pay-per-view event that will take place in Montreal, Quebec, on Sunday, July 26 at the Centre Bell. The company announced the news on its social media and thus confirmed what had been strongly rumored within the company.

Montreal had emerged as the top favorite to host this premiere, and the announcement ends up validating those previous reports. The Canadian city becomes the headquarters of a new PPV brand with which AEW continues to expand its calendar of major events.

The event will come between Forbidden Door and All In, within a particularly busy stretch of programming for the company. This positions Redemption ideally to debut with its own weight and not be seen as just a middle stop.
