Dominik Mysterio: 'I don't think WWE knows what to do with me'

Dominik Mysterio, one of the most hated heels in WWE, has been relegated to a secondary role in recent months. In fact, Dom has not been involved in any major rivalry since losing the Intercontinental Championship to Penta three months ago. This is a situation that Mysterio himself analyzed in a recent interview for Esse Magazine.

"I think they don't know what to do with me. I'm too good. They have a lightning bolt trapped in a bottle and have no idea what to do with it, so they're just leaving it there. I'm like you, just waiting," he told the interviewer.

Dom was reminded that he is currently involved in several storylines, not only in WWE as a member of The Judgment Day, but also in AAA, where he holds the Megachampionship."I can have all the storylines they want, but as I said, they don't know what to do with me. I'm too good. A lightning bolt in a bottle. They're holding me back", he replied.

When asked what he is waiting for, Mysterio responded: "I don't know. I've defeated John Cena. I've defeated AJ Styles. I've defeated Rey Mysterio. I've defeated Damian Priest. I don't know what they're waiting for. I'm 29 years old. I'm a young guy. They have all those old fossils working there. I don't know what they're waiting for".

"At the end of the day, I'm a patient man. I can wait," he continued. "I have The Judgment Day with me. I'm the AAA Megachampion. I'm not worried. If they want to put me in Clash In Italy, I'll put my Megachampionship on the line. I don't even care".

Mysterio has only competed once since his defeat at WrestleMania 42. As the AAA Megachampion, Dominik will be watching the "mask vs. mask" match between Original El Grande Americano and El Grande Americano, as the latter has a guaranteed title shot as the winner of the Rey de Reyes sword. The fight is expected to take place in the main event of Triplemanía XXXIV.
