WWE will hold a new show this upcoming weekend in the city of Turin, which will be the first PLE in Italy's history. The event will feature several interesting matches, including a rematch between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar, and a defense of the WWE Undisputed Championship that will pit Cody Rhodes against Gunther. Additionally, there is a possibility that the event will have a pleasant surprise for Italian fans.

According to WrestleVotes Radio, on Fightful Select, WWE's creative team considered the idea of having Santino Marella at the show. It is worth noting that the current TNA Authority Director made his debut in the company by defeating Umaga for the Intercontinental Championship in an episode of Monday Night Raw held in Milan in 2007.

For now, it is unknown if the idea came to fruition and if Marella will ultimately be able to make a special appearance at Clash in Italy. What is certain is that many fans hope to see him at the event. Santino himself reacted to a photoshopped image of himself on a PLE poster, stating that he would love for it to happen. "It would definitely be like closing the circle," he wrote.

Santino Marella currently works for TNA Wrestling as the Authority Director, a role similar to WWE's General Managers. Thanks to the collaboration agreement between both companies, Marella has been able to make some appearances on NXT's television programming, so, in principle, his presence in Turin this weekend would only need to be approved by WWE.
