Kay Lee Ray, known in WWE as Alba Fyre, returned to wrestle in Pro Wrestling Eve in the UK on June 5, and did so without a 90-day non-compete clause. The reason, as she explained later in an interview, is that she was not fired: her contract ended and WWE decided not to renew it.

KLR mentioned that she already knew her agreement was about to expire and that at that time she was even considering whether she wanted to stay or leave. That's why she was able to accept Eve's invitation so quickly and show up in the company as a surprise, although she herself clarified that it wasn't entirely a surprise.

“My contract had ended. And I knew the date was approaching and I had the decision of whether I wanted to stay or not”, KLR explained.

Her return came in response to an open challenge from Molly Spartan, whom she defeated with a Swanton Bomb. Her next match in Eve is already scheduled for July 3 against Rhio, with a shot at the Eve International Women's Title on the line.

Regarding her time in WWE, Kay Lee Ray mentioned that she had a great time from start to finish, both in NXT UK and in NXT and the main roster. She also pointed out that she enjoyed her time in The Secret Service with Chelsea Green and Piper Niven, and that she likes both serious and comedic wrestling.
