WWE is already preparing for its next Big Four, the traditional SummerSlam, which this year will once again be held over two days. The event will feature two confirmed title defenses, with the winners of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments challenging for the world championship of their choice. In addition, the presence of some talents who have been absent from the programming since WrestleMania 42 is expected.

According to WrestleVotes as reported by Fightful Select, an internal document circulated earlier this month included the names of Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre, both linked to the summer's big event. At the moment, no further details are available, although their presence in the document makes it clear that WWE has both wrestlers in mind when planning for SummerSlam.

McIntyre lost to Jacob Fatu in an Unsanctioned Match on the first day of WrestleMania 42. That was his last televised appearance on WWE programming. The company granted the wrestler some time off to participate in the filming of the new Highlander movie, shot in his homeland of Scotland. The filming recently concluded, so his return is only a matter of time.

Orton was defeated by Cody Rhodes in the main event of WrestleMania 42 Saturday. With this result, "The Viper" failed in his attempt to win his fifteenth world championship. Frustration led him to brutally attack Rhodes, hinting that their rivalry was far from over. However, Orton has not appeared on television since then, with some rumors suggesting physical issues. However, none have been confirmed.
