Live Report of WWE SmackDown June 12, 2026

WWE SmackDown begins on Netflix!

The show starts with a video recap of last week's blue brand episode.

Cody Rhodes arrives at the venue, where Nick Aldis is waiting for him. The General Manager informs the WWE Undisputed Champion that Gunther has not arrived yet, although he has promised news for him later that night. Rhodes doesn't seem worried about it. "Well, I've beaten him before. We're in a good place. It's a good night. Let's have a good SmackDown", says Rhodes to the General Manager as he shakes his hand.

Cody continues on his way until he meets The Usos. Rhodes fist bumps with the Samoans. Jey Uso is glad to see Rhodes, but also reminds him that tonight he will have his quarter-final match in the King of the Ring tournament. Jey promises that he will not only win the match, but also the tournament. And once he does, he will challenge him for his championship at SummerSlam. Jey hopes Rhodes doesn't hold a grudge against him for this, as it's just business. "Jey, I hope you're right. If there's anyone here who deserves a shot at this, it's you. But I hope it's your decision, not Roman's", says Cody before leaving.

We see the arrival at the venue of some of tonight's protagonists: LA Knight, Royce Keys, and Finn Bálor.

Cathy Kelley interviews Jade Cargill (with B-Fab and Michin) backstage. Kelley reminds her that she was the winner of last year's Queen of the Ring tournament, so she wonders if she feels any kind of pressure before her debut in this year's edition. "The Storm" makes it clear that she feels no pressure. She won last year, and she will do it again. Jade addresses Rhea Ripley directly, hoping she returns soon, as she must take back what belongs to her at SummerSlam. Suddenly, Charlotte Flair's theme music starts playing, and she makes her entrance into the ring. Cargill, B-Fab, and Michin head towards the ring.

Fatal Four-Way Match - Queen of the Ring tournament first round

Sol returns to kick Lyra, only to receive the same treatment from "The Queen". Charlotte catches Lyra in a Figure Eight Lock, forcing the Irishwoman to surrender.

Winner: Charlotte Flair

Cathy Kelley interviews Tiffany Stratton backstage. Tiffany makes it clear that she is not friends with Charlotte Flair, but she agrees with her on one thing: neither of them wants Jade Cargill to be champion. B-Fab and Michin appear on the scene, ready to take revenge on Stratton, but Chelsea Green joins the United States Champion to protect her with a kendo stick. The Canadian challenges Cargill's partners, daring them to face them tonight. Several officials take Michin and B-Fab away. A calmer Chelsea smiles at Tiffany, assuring her that everything will be fine.

Jacob Fatu approaches The Usos in the locker room. Surprised, Jimmy asks him what he is doing on SmackDown. "The Samoan Werewolf" informs them that he has come to talk to Solo Sikoa on behalf of Roman Reigns. Fatu asks Jimmy what he is doing on the blue brand. Jimmy replies that he must make sure no one gets involved in Jey's match. "Alright. Take care of your business. I'll take care of mine", says Jacob before leaving. Jey continues to warm up as his brother encourages him.

We see a new promotional video starring Blake Monroe. This time, the Brit focuses her attention on Charlotte Flair, a woman who was part of the historic "Women's Evolution." She was undoubtedly one of the best. Now she has joined another great, Alexa Bliss. However, this association is based on a codependency system. "You have deceived yourselves into thinking that together you are stronger, but you have only become softer, weaker. Something I would never bother with. The true stars shine on their own, and my beauty is blinding. Hold on tight to each other, girls, because The Glamour is coming to SmackDown," she says.

Gunther approaches Nick Aldis in his office. The General Manager informs the Austrian that everything is ready for his rematch next week. He just needs to know the stipulation for the match to take place. The Austrian wants to make one thing clear: he doesn't trust his ability to choose competent referees. So his condition is to personally choose the official who will referee his match. Aldis accepts his demand. He then asks who will be the chosen one. Gunther points out that there is too much at stake, so he has to think carefully. The European promises to let him know before the show ends.

Cathy Kelley interviews Finn Bálor backstage. The Irishman is excited about his debut on SmackDown, where he can start a new stage of his career. Finn knows that nothing will erase the past, but he is also aware that old acquaintances and some enemies await him on the blue brand. But first things first, because tonight he will compete in the King of the Ring tournament. R-Truth interrupts the interview. R-Truth mistakes Cathy for Raquel Rodriguez, pointing out that she has lost a lot of muscle. The interviewer laughs before leaving. R-Truth is delighted to have Finn on SmackDown, where Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley are already. R-Truth points out that Tom and Nick (referring to Dominik Mysterio) can stay out of The Judgment Day, although they must think of a way to integrate Royce Keys into the faction. He is even preparing merchandise about it. Finn doesn't understand anything. At that moment, Damian Priest appears on the scene. Priest and Bálor silently observe each other. R-Truth puts his arms around both men, hoping his companion will welcome the Irishman. "Welcome to SmackDown," says Priest in a threatening tone. "Happy to be here," replies Bálor. R-Truth informs Finn that Priest and he are Tag Team Champions. Now it's Finn's turn to win the King of the Ring tournament. Then, The Judgment Day can build a "clubhouse" inside his castle. Bálor leaves, saying he has a match to prepare for. Once alone, Damian reminds R-Truth that Finn is not a trustworthy person. They, on the other hand, are WWE Tag Team Champions, and next week they will defend the belts against MFT. The Puerto Rican makes it clear that all he cares about is winning that match and keeping both championships around their waists. "Just you and me. That's all we need," says the Puerto Rican as he shakes hands with R-Truth. Damian leaves the place. "Classic Judgment Day. Live, laugh, love. Judgment Day rises again!", exclaims R-Truth as the segment comes to an end.

Meanwhile, Paige tries to catch Henley in a submission hold. Jacy grabs her partner's hand to free her.

The referee sees what happened and ejects Jayne from ringside. Fallon takes advantage of the confusion to cover Paige with a roll-up. However, the official is busy indicating to Jacy to continue her way backstage. Brie enters the ring and pushes her partner so she ends up on top of Fallon. The referee turns around to count to three. 1..2..3.

Winners: Brie Bella and Paige

We move backstage, where Sami Zayn is "talking" with Johnny Gargano. Once again, he is lying face down on a production box. Candice LeRae accompanies her husband. Zayn regrets everything that happened with Cody Rhodes, pointing out that no matter what he does, the Canadian always ends up being the bad guy. Sami still sees Rhodes as a friend, but at this point, serious questions need to be raised. "Serious question: when are you going to stand up and do something about it?" LeRae asks her husband. Sami listens to those words and agrees with them. "You know what? You're right. I'll do something about it. I'll go out there and talk to Cody to clear things up. Thank you, Johnny", says Sami before leaving. LeRae is left puzzled.

The Garza approach Danhausen in his laboratory. Angel and Berto ask Danhausen to lift the curse on the New York Knicks, as they have bet a lot on them. In exchange, the Mexicans give him a bag full of money, which includes an extra. Before leaving, Berto asks Danhausen to also do something to benefit the Mexican national soccer team. Danhausen assures them that it's done. Now it's Matt Cardona who approaches the quirky character to ask him to lift his curse on the New York Knicks. Danhausen points out that it costs money. Matt, however, doesn't have anything on him. Danhausen settles for his watch. Matt hands it over. "Anything for the Knicks," he says. Danhausen believes it's not enough, so he also asks for his ring. Kit Wilson appears on the scene to order Matt to leave. Cardona obeys to avoid arguing. Wilson reproaches Danhausen for the sorry state in which The Miz finds himself. We see him totally out of it after the electric shock he suffered last week. The Miz keeps repeating his catchphrases with a completely lost look. Wilson demands that Danhausen help Mizanin, but he thinks he's fine. Furious, Kit takes a metal rod with which he tries to hit Danhausen. He moves away, causing the rod to hit an antenna. As a result, Kit receives an electric shock. Wilson ends up on the ground. "Okay. See you later," says Danhausen as he leaves with the bag full of money from Los Garza. Wilson convulses on the ground. "Aweeeeesome!" exclaims The Miz.

Sami Zayn makes his entrance in the ring, where he receives a mixed reaction. Zayn acknowledges that it's a strange reaction, especially when comparing this audience with the European one. Sami is not trying to say that European fans are better than Americans. Simply put, his true fans showed up in droves in the Old Continent. At this point, Sami points out that the fans have two options. They can boo him, or they can applaud "The Last Real Good Guy." However, tonight he's not here for that reason, but to clear things up with Cody Rhodes, so he asks the Undisputed WWE Champion to come out.

Cody Rhodes makes his entrance!

Rhodes is greeted with a great ovation. The Undisputed WWE Champion stands in front of Sami to ask him what he wants to talk about. Zayn asks him to put aside his "The American Nightmare" persona for a moment and behave like his friend, because that's the only way they can talk. The Canadian affirms that in recent weeks he has done nothing but help him. However, he always ends up paying the price. A few weeks ago, he let Gunther suffocate him because he really believed that Cody needed to go through that. And he ended up being the bad guy. Last week, however, he decided to help him. And what did he get in return? An accidental attack from Cody himself. But was it really an accident? "Sami sucks!" chant the fans.

Rhodes can't believe he has to explain to an experienced man like Sami how professional wrestling works. That said, Cody reminds him that he was by his side at the peak of his professional career: WrestleMania XL. Sami interrupts to make it clear that not only was he by his side, but he was also the first one there. And he did it because he was genuinely happy for his friend's success. Because, believe it or not, he is "The Last Real Good Guy." That said, he asks Rhodes how many of the men who were with him at that time are still his friends.

Cody assumes he's referring to John Cena, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton. Sami simply asks him to be honest. "Don't talk to me in clichés! Do you want me to be honest with you? I'm here for this! I'm enduring all this mess to hear this crap! I'm here to be honest with you! They're booing you! They're chanting 'Sami sucks'! And the reason is because lately you suck! You complain, you whine! You're not the Sami Zayn they fell in love with! You're not the Sami Zayn they followed! You're not my Sami Zayn! You're something else! In any case, you're a desperate man! Let's not pretend that what stands between us is not the WWE Championship! And I owe you an apology. I regret having this, because that means you'll never have it," says Cody as he holds the championship.

Zayn immediately reacts by slapping the champion. Sami immediately apologizes. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to do that. It was out of place. I'm sorry, I'm sorry. You can scold me all you want. I made a mistake," says Sami as he hugs Rhodes. He responds with another slap. "ARE WE GOOD NOW!?" exclaims Rhodes. Furious, Sami leaves the ring to grab a metal chair. Zayn gets on the apron. The Canadian looks at Rhodes, who remains motionless in the center of the ring. Zayn throws the chair to the ground before heading back to backstage.

Jacob Fatu approaches Solo Sikoa backstage to deliver a message from Roman Reigns. "The Samoan Werewolf" indicates that "The OTC" wants him to come back home. Sikoa laughs, pointing out that that is no longer his home. It looks more like a dog pound, and Jacob is Roman's lapdog. Sikoa reminds Fatu that he almost defeated Roman. However, now he just obeys his orders. And all that after being humiliated by his cousin. Solo tells Jacob that if Reigns wants him to come back, then he'll have to come personally to get him. Solo leaves to end the segment.

Fenix carries him on his shoulders to execute a definitive Mexican Muscle Buster. 1..2..3.

Winner and STILL AAA Cruiserweight Champion: Rey Fenix

Gunther approaches Nick Aldis in his office. Gunther has thought a lot about the man who should referee his rematch, and he has come to the conclusion that it should be a good man. Perhaps the last truly good man (The Last Real Good Guy). That's why he has decided that Sami Zayn will be the one to officiate his match against Cody Rhodes. "Make it happen, please," says a smiling Gunther before leaving the office.

Trick Williams and Lil Yachti make their entrance. "Whoop that Trick!" chant the fans to welcome the United States Champion. Yachti addresses the audience to introduce the real champion of SmackDown. Trick interrupts the rapper, pointing out that they can't do this right now. Williams needs to say something. Last week he lost. He didn't like it, but it made him feel something. It made him realize that he must lead the brand. And for that, he must show the world who he is. He's still Trick Williams. He's still the United States Champion. He's still "Hollywood Trick." He's still "Mr. Lemon Pepper Steeper." And he doesn't care who they think he was. "I'm Trick James, damn it!" he exclaims.

Ricky Saints interrupts the promo!

Ricky heads to the ring when suddenly Carmelo Hayes appears. Hayes advances down the ramp quickly leaving "The Absolute" behind. Carmelo gets on the apron, at which point a furious Saints bursts into the ring to ask for a microphone. Meanwhile, Hayes asks Trick to decide once and for all who he will put the title on the line against. Ricky interrupts, pointing out that there's nothing to discuss, as he already beat him last week. Melo reminds him that he also beat him. Williams interrupts the discussion, making it clear that it doesn't matter who of them is his opponent, as the result will be the same. Trick suggests they face each other again, and the winner will be able to compete for his championship. "But until then, shut up while the adults talk," says Williams before heading towards the ropes. Suddenly, Ricky pushes Carmelo, who in turn collides with the champion, ending up in ringside. Hayes wastes no time getting his revenge on "The Absolute," whom he knocks down with a tilt-a-whirl facebuster. Carmelo unleashes a flurry of punches on Ricky. Trick returns to catch Melo, whom he throws against one of the corners. After that, he applies an uranage on Saints. Williams poses in the center of the ring with his championship as the segment comes to an end.

Cathy Kelley is about to interview Royce Keys backstage, but Solo Sikoa interrupts them. Sikoa asks Keys to allow him to speak. Royce nods. Solo informs him that The Bloodline is planning something for tonight. And he knows because he was part of the faction and knows very well how it operates. Sikoa tells Keys that Jacob Fatu is on SmackDown, and he has no doubt that his goal is to ensure that Jey Uso wins his match, which would directly affect Royce. "Listen, I'm not asking you to fight for me. Not even to fight by my side. I just don't want to see you as a casualty in Roman's war", says Solo before leaving.

Tag Team Match
B-Fab and Michin vs. Tiffany Stratton and Chelsea Green

Jade picks up the United States Championship before placing it on its rightful owner. Jade and her teammates leave the ring to end the segment.

Cathy Kelley interviews Kiana James backstage. James assures that Giulia, her friend, betrayed her last week. Kiana did everything for her. She got her matches, made her a champion. And when she asked for help for the first time, she proved to be useless. "The Beautiful Madness" interrupts the interview to make it clear that she only needed her to learn English. "I needed your help with English and contracts, not to be a wrestler, because that's what I am", she says. "And I didn't need you for anything," Kiana replies. "You took advantage of my drive," says Giulia. "You overshadowed me," James responds. "Kiana, my English has improved. So I finally have words to tell you...", Giulia states before slapping her. "The Beautiful Madness" leaves to end the segment.

We continue backstage. Finn Bálor heads towards the ring when he encounters Tama Tonga. "It's been a long time. Welcome to SmackDown. Good luck", says Tama. Finn silently observes Tama for a few seconds before continuing on his way.

Cody Rhodes talks with Nick Aldis backstage. "The American Nightmare" can't believe that Sami Zayn is going to be the referee for his match against Gunther. Aldis regrets it, but he can't do anything about it, and Cody knows it. Rhodes understands, but Sami is not in his right mind at the moment. The Canadian appears on the scene. "You gave me one, and I'm giving it back to you. Please tell me we're okay", says Cody. "I don't know, Cody. I'm pretty messed up. My emotions are all over the place. Good luck next week", Zayn replies before leaving.

Cathy Kelley interviews LA Knight backstage. "The Megastar" is not surprised by The Bloodline's presence on SmackDown. In fact, he already anticipated it on Monday Night Raw. However, he doesn't care about having all the odds against him because if he manages to overcome them, he will end up winning the King of the Ring tournament. And that will lead him straight to Roman Reigns' door. "And then I'll stomp on him, with everyone saying L-A-Knight, YEAH," he says to end the interview.
