Chad Gable is ready to return to compete inside the WWE ring after nearly a year out of action under his usual name. The company confirmed that he will face Rusev in tomorrow's June 15th RAW episode, in a match that will mark his first fight since he was unmasked at AAA Noche de Los Grandes.
Gable had not fought on television as his masked character since June 9, 2025, when he faced AJ Styles on RAW. Although during that time he also continued to appear as "OG" The Great American in WWE RAW and at the Royal Rumble 2026, this will be his first official fight since he regained his on-screen identity.
His return to the ring also comes amid a new rivalry with Rusev. The conflict began after the Bulgarian tore off Rey Mysterio's mask in a recent episode of RAW, something that led Gable to intervene and defend the wrestling culture that he now says he understands and respects more than ever.
Before his fight, Gable also left a message on social media about what this moment means to him. He assured that the acceptance he has received after removing the mask has been enormous, but he emphasized that now his priority is to perform at the level he expects from himself.
The RAW card for June 15 also includes the King of the Ring semifinal between Dominik Mysterio and Oba Femi, the Queen of the Ring semifinal between Raquel Rodriguez and IYO Sky, and the return of Roman Reigns. However, the clash between Gable and Rusev stands out as one of the most striking points of the night.
