The CW and Netflix will air a new episode of WWE NXT tonight, with Vic Joseph and Corey Graves at the commentary table, live from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show will feature several interesting matches, including a meeting between Tony D'Angelo and Naraku before their battle at The Great American Bash.
On the other hand, Tavion Heights and Jackson Drake will compete for an opportunity for the NXT North American Championship at the PLE on June 28. Additionally, Nattie will return to the brand to face Jaida Parker. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE NXT starts on Netflix!
We see the arrival of two of tonight's protagonists: Jaida Parker and Nattie (who is greeted by Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic).
A video recap of last week's NXT episode is shown.
Zaria is the one to open the show. The Australian heads to the ring with the NXT Women's North American Championship around her waist. Zaria poses in one of the corners while holding the title. After that, she takes a microphone. "I spent so much time in Sol's shadow that ironically, I felt like I had forgotten what the sun looked like. But after turning this women's division upside down, you're finally looking at the new NXT Women's North American Champion!", she exclaims. Zaria recalls that she has always been ignored. Her name was always left out of the conversation about the future stars of the division. A conversation where, of course, Sol Ruca's name was always present. But now she has finally conquered her first championship, and she did it on her own. So she doesn't need to thank anyone for it. "I won't let my name fall back into the shadows", promises the Australian.
¡Kelani Jordan interrupts the promo!
As the first North American champion, Jordan wants to congratulate Zaria on her coronation. Kelani boasts of having made that championship so prestigious that the Australian could open tonight's show. "Yes, thank you, Kelani. What do you want?", Zaria asks. Jordan wishes for an opportunity for the NXT Women's Championship. Unfortunately, this is not in the Australian's hands, so she doesn't need anything from her. Kelani simply came out to offer her some advice.
First, Kelani advises her to enjoy this moment as much as she can because the fans who support her now will eventually turn their backs on her. Jordan also advises her to protect her championship with all her might because she may not have another title opportunity in this division. Something that is undoubtedly unfair. Just like her defeat last week, which granted Kendal Grey a title opportunity. Jordan believes this favors Lola Vice, as she will be able to retain the gold easily at The Great American Bash. "What I need is an opportunity, and I will be the new NXT Champion", says Kelani before being interrupted.
Kendal Grey appears on the scene!
Kendal makes it clear to Jordan that they have no pending issues, no matter what she may insinuate. Last week she beat her cleanly. It's as simple as that. And in two weeks, Kelani will see her defeat Lola Vice to become the new NXT Women's Champion. And if after that, Jordan finds a way to cross her path, the result will be the same as last week. Zaria interrupts them. "You know what, Kelani? You weren't joking. I've been here for five minutes, and there's always someone talking about something other than the woman who will lead this division in the foreseeable future", says the Australian.
Lola Vice interrupts the segment!
"Damn, what a party we have here today, huh?", says Lola in Spanish before entering the ring. Vice heads towards Zaria, reminding her that she has only been champion for a week. That's why she shouldn't rush to describe herself as the most dominant woman in NXT. Also, maybe she should turn the page and forget once and for all her history with Sol Ruca. As for Kelani, she should shut up once and for all. Lola then turns to Kendal to remind her that they are not yet at The Great American Bash. However, Grey already feels like a champion. Kendal may be the challenger, but she has already beaten her, and she will do it again. Kelani, Zaria, and Grey speak at the same time. The four women start arguing. Robert Stone appears on the scene to restore order. Lola immediately interrupts him. "We get it, Stone. Kendal and I against Kelani and Zaria tonight", says the Women's Champion. Stone remains silent for a few seconds before responding. "And that's why we have the best women's division in wrestling!", exclaims the NXT General Manager to confirm Vice's idea. This brings us to the end of this segment.

Winner: Tavion Heights
Myles raises Tavion's arm at ringside. Heights quickly pushes him away. We see a video recorded in Robert Stone's office last week. In it, the General Manager thanks the comedian Matt Matthews and WWE Evolve Champion Aaron Rourke for their participation in the "Mr. NXT Pageant." Hank Walker and Tank Ledger accompany them. Matthews doesn't understand how Tristan Angels could get so angry for not winning the contest's sash. Rourke believes someone needs to keep the Brit in check. Suddenly, BirthRight as a whole burst onto the scene. Lexis King wants to thank Stone on behalf of the faction for showing them the respect they deserve by adding Arianna Grace to the WWE Women's Speed Tournament. King is convinced that her partner will win the tournament and the subsequent title match to become the new WWE Speed Champion. Matthews mocks Lexis and her companions' attire. Uriah Connors points out that this is the problem with celebrities: they come here to ruin the business. "Call daddy to thank him for your job," says Matt. Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo steps forward to remind the comedian that he doesn't belong here. That's why he invites him to leave the venue. Hank and Tank quickly come to Matthews' defense. "If you have problems, we can take care of it," says Walker. Tension rises. Stone orders BirthRight to leave his office. King and her companions leave to end the segment.

Kendal Grey and Wren Sinclair converse backstage. Grey wants Sinclair in her corner at The Great American Bash. Wren is not sure about it, as she must defend her WWE Speed Championship. Grey understands, and also hopes that both will leave the event as champions. Lola Vice appears on the scene to advise Kendal to stop thinking about the PLE and focus on the match they have to fight tonight. Grey assures her that she is ready for it. She just hopes that this time Lola's fist hits their opponents and not her. Vice insists that what happened two weeks ago was an accident. Wren enjoys the situation, wondering if both women will be able to coexist tonight. She, on the other hand, must go to the infirmary to receive medical clearance. Sinclair leaves to end the segment.
We see Tony D'Angelo walking under the night sky. The NXT Champion stops in front of a Japanese temple. Inside, Naraku awaits him at a table. The Japanese man greets him formally and invites him to sit down. Tony makes it clear to Naraku that he is not a fool. He has had meetings like this before and knows very well how they work. That said, he asks the Japanese directly why he brought him here. "Welcome, Tony-san. I have this contract from Stone for us to sign", Naraku responds while showing the document to the champion. D'Angelo still doesn't trust the Japanese man's motives. He apologizes to Tony, but he really doesn't understand his behavior. Tony points out that he has investigated him. He knows very well his past in Japan, where he held a dozen championships, including the most important one. However, he didn't do it alone but with the help of a faction of "wild animals" he led. "Tony, don't judge me by the past. Look at the warrior I am now", says Naraku. "I'm looking at the warrior you are now: another man who left Japan for one reason: my title", D'Angelo responds. Naraku acknowledges that he is right.
Tony remembers that Naraku did whatever it took to get what he wanted, even if it meant going against the traditions of Japanese wrestling. For that, he had the help of his companions. However, now it's different. In NXT, he is alone. "A man without his family," says Tony. He makes it clear that Naraku is wrong. He left everything to move to the United States with the goal of winning the NXT Championship. But he didn't succeed. "My title will stay with me", Tony promises. That said, he asks Naraku to hand him the contract. The champion soon realizes that the Japanese man has not signed it. Naraku points out that he will do it next week. "Get ready for war, Naraku, because I am," says Tony before signing the document. D'Angelo stands up and, after carefully looking at his next opponent, leaves the place. Naraku watches Tony's signature with a smile on his face. "EVIL is coming", he says with a laugh as the segment comes to an end.
We see a video recap of the rivalry between Nattie and Jaida Parker in recent weeks.
Robert Stone talks on the phone to prepare everything for The Great American Bash. Keanu Carver appears on the scene to ask the General Manager about his next opponent. Stone apologizes to the wrestler, confessing that he has not yet made a decision about it. EK Prosper enters the office to ask Stone what he needs from him. The General Manager informs Prosper that next week he will face Carver. He disagrees with this decision. Keanu reminds Stone that he has talents like Mason Rook, Kam Hendrix, or Naraku, whom he could use as a stepping stone to get a title opportunity. But instead of that, he gives him a match against Prosper? He is annoyed by Keanu's comment, making it clear that he will be happy to humiliate him. "It seems like you also want to die," says Carver threateningly before leaving.

Mason Rook and Lizzy Rain are chatting backstage about their first few weeks in NXT. Their compatriot Tristan Angels approaches them to boast that he is the only one of the three still undefeated in the brand. On top of that, he is now "Mr. NXT." Aaron Rourke enters the scene to remind him that that title belongs to Shiloh Hill. Tristan points out that Hill has not been medically cleared to compete and that, according to beauty pageant rules, if the winner cannot fulfill their duties, the responsibility falls to the runner-up. And he is that person. "As champion, I'd love for you to put that to the test," says Rourke. "Maybe I would if you put the Evolve Championship on the line," Tristan replies. Aaron has no problem with that. He also reminds Tristan that he judged his swimsuit competition, and they both know he came up short. Annoyed by the remark, Angels walks away. Rook and Rain ask Rourke to kick Tristan’s ass. "It would be my pleasure," says the WWE Evolve Champion as the segment comes to an end.

"I can't believe I'm about to say this, but Nathan Frazer was right. I've found my partner," says Dar. An emotional Romeo points out that they have a lot to discuss, including what to name the team. Legacy believes that he and Dux should follow their example and focus on the tag team division. Dorian spots The Culling in the distance, prompting him to suggest that they challenge them. The two head toward Robert Stone’s office, bringing the segment to a close.
Tate Wilder stars in a new promotional video. Wilder admits that his lifestyle is not for everyone. As an example, he points to the pinky finger on his left hand, which was permanently deformed while attempting a backflip. However, it serves as a reminder that growth requires taking risks. This leads him to reflect on his current run in NXT, where he has yet to pick up a victory. Nevertheless, that only motivates him more, because winning his first match is enough of a reward to keep him going. Tate invites the fans to join him on this journey and see where it leads.
Saquon Shugars is featured in the latest edition of NXT Chronicles. Shugars makes it clear that, despite appearances, he is not a gangster. His grandmother always told him never to trust anyone—a lesson he carried with him as he made his way in this business. However, everything changed when three athletes approached him about forming an alliance that would later become DarkState. Joining them caused him to let his guard down. That is why he never saw the betrayal coming from those he once called brothers. However, that was the biggest mistake they could have made. Now, Shugars is ready to finish off Dion Lennox at The Great American Bash. Then everyone will know which one of them is the future and which one will be left behind. "Are you okay? It wasn't my intention", Grey repeats over and over without losing sight of the championship. Kelani, on the other hand, simply smiles as she watches the scene. And so we reach the end of this week's NXT episode.
