CMLL and New Japan Pro Wrestling announced a new joint event called Lucha Kingdom, which will take place on Monday, November 16 at 5 p.m. at Arena México. The announcement came during the Fantastica Mania 2026 event, where both companies once again shared the bill.
The promotional video for the show highlighted the historical relationship between Mexico and Japan in professional wrestling, presenting the event as a new chapter in an alliance based on mutual respect. The message emphasizes that the union between both traditions already has a history, but now seeks to write another important chapter.
Since 2011, CMLL and NJPW have collaborated on the Fantastica Mania series in Japan. Over time, this collaboration expanded to the United Kingdom and Mexico in 2023, and then also to the United States in 2024.
According to comments circulating on social media, the presentation in Mexico would be focused as a CMLL vs. NJPW show, meaning a confrontation between promotions rather than just a shared event. This gives Lucha Kingdom an additional hook leading up to November.
