TNA Wrestling announced the departure of Tessa Blanchard in a statement issued last Wednesday. According to the company, both parties agreed to part ways amicably. Sean Ross Sapp, from Fightful, pointed out that the former World Champion was forced to choose between Anthem Media's company and CMLL, a promotion where she has worked the most this year. This afternoon, the media has offered more details on the matter.

"Sean Ross Sapp, from Fightful Select, reported that Tessa Blanchard recently obtained her release from TNA. According to sources, there was a conflict regarding who wanted her to prioritize between TNA or CMLL. In fact, many were surprised that she could juggle both companies for so long, but ultimately CMLL offered her the best overall options," wrote Fightful.

"CMLL schedules Tessa Blanchard more frequently and, according to sources, also offered her better compensation. Within TNA, it was mentioned that the company planned to renegotiate her contract to offer her more money due to this situation. People consulted within TNA assured that there was no resentment and that they understood that Blanchard had to make a business decision. Additionally, in the past, she had to miss some CMLL dates to fulfill commitments with TNA," the media wrote.

"Sources close to the situation stated that Blanchard had a three-year contract with TNA, so the company ended up releasing her approximately halfway through said agreement. There were also comments mentioning MLW as a possible option for her, but we were informed that, at the moment, the company has not had contact with Blanchard and has not done so for several years," Fightful wrote.

"Likewise, we were informed that Blanchard preferred the creative approach and the way she was utilized within CMLL. CMLL sources pointed out that the company is becoming increasingly strict regarding its talents — even those without contracts — when it comes to promoting brands considered competitors," the report concluded.

Since her departure, Blanchard has competed twice in CMLL. Her last match took place last Thursday at a joint event with AULL (Alianza Universal de Lucha Libre), where she teamed up with Tabata to defeat Garra Negra and Keyra.
