- The Hardys were in charge of opening the show. "Broken" Matt and Brother Nero claimed to have been reborn after their Wicked Garden Match against The Righteous. Their rivals forced them to change and, ultimately, to ascend. They will never be the same again. With that said, they made it clear that their main goal was to regain the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

The Righteous (Vincent and Dutch) interrupted the promo. Vincent was delighted that Matt and Jeff finally saw the truth, boasting about having defeated all versions of The Hardys. Dutch, on the other hand, pointed out that this change was owed only to them. Matt replied that this change was much deeper than they could imagine.

The System (Brian Myers and Bear Bronson) stormed onto the scene to mock both teams. Bronson made it clear that they didn't care who The Hardys and The Righteous were. They didn't even care in the slightest who the fans in the arena were. They only cared about their World Tag Team Championships, challenging Matt and Jeff to try to take them away, promising to devour them alive. Matt, for his part, promised to delete them. With that said, The Hardys launched an attack on The System and The Righteous that quickly moved to ringside. Jeff brought in a ladder into the ring while his brother continued fighting at ringside. However, when the younger Hardy reached the top, The System and The Righteous quickly retreated down the entrance ramp to avoid any aerial attack. The segment ended with The Hardys threatening their rivals.

- An upset Daria Rae was visited by Order 4 in full. The TNA Chief Operating Officer lamented the chaos in the company caused by Santino Marella. That's why she decided to introduce The Good Hands into the Ladder Match for the World Tag Team Championships that will take place at Slammiversary. News that Mustafa Ali and his partners accepted very willingly.

- Ash By Elegance vs. Mara Sadé did not happen. Ash threw a tantrum after the fans called her a "mark," which is why she refused to fight. M By Elegance took her place.

- Mara Sadé defeated M By Elegance by disqualification due to an intervention by Elayna Black. After the match, Black, M, and Heather By Elegance launched an assault on Mara and Indi Hartwell (who had been the special commentator). Rosemary and Allie came to the rescue to get rid of M and Heather with a parallel superkick, forcing the heels to flee.

- Eric Young delivered a video promo. The Canadian made it clear that he has nothing against Ricky Sosa. In fact, he believes he has great talent and a bright future ahead. However, to reach the position he is in, a price must be paid. "I have nothing personal against Ricky, but there are levels to this, and I don't think he understands it. But when Slammiversary comes, I guarantee you'll understand," said Young to conclude his promo.

- A.J. Francis defeated Manny Lemons after applying a chokeslam. Elijah interrupted Francis' celebration from the arena screen. With the bloodied document recognizing A.J. as the owner of the songs and the name "The Drifter," he assured that his enemy envies him because he has never defeated him. With that said, Elijah informed him that he had spoken with TNA's legal team and that once he beats him at Slammiversary, he will recover everything the heel took from him. Elijah burned the document to end his promo.

- Xia Brookside defeated Harley Hudson after applying a Darkside DDT. Brookside continued attacking Hudson, prompting the arrival of Léi Yǐng Lee. The mere presence of the Knockouts World Champion led the British wrestler to leave the ring. Both women threatened each other as the segment came to an end.

TNA provided a medical update on several of its talents:

  • Ash By Elegance is on medical leave due to mental stress after what happened tonight.
  • The medical team is prepared for the consequences that several matches at Slammiversary could entail, including the Ultimate X and the ladder match for the TNA World Tag Team Championships.

- A video showed the meeting that Nic Nemeth and Mike Santana had at a hotel before the show. Carlos Silva, TNA President, and Gia Miller led the meeting. Silva asked both men to keep it civil, as he didn't want to fine anyone. Nemeth acknowledged that Santana had had a great year as TNA World Champion. However, he had had 23. Mike pointed out that Nemeth should watch out because another great year for him was on the way. With that said, Santana stated that he had been fighting all his life, only Nic wasn't there to see it. Nemeth didn't see his family's suffering. "This is my life! I've fought all my life for a moment like this!", exclaimed the champion.

Santana also acknowledged that Nic has been at the top. He fought at WrestleMania, at the Royal Rumble, won numerous championships. However, there is a difference between them. "The difference between you and me is that when this place needed someone, when it needed a true champion, I was here. Where were you?", Mike asked. He claimed to have been "the guy" in TNA day in, day out. Nemeth, on the other hand, simply debuted showing a company t-shirt.

Nic pointed out that being a big international star is very different from being a wrestler who has had a great year. Nemeth hopes that Santana can understand one day what that means, like receiving calls from promoters offering large sums of money for you to participate in their shows. Nemeth mentioned the champion's family, starting with his daughter, who can't see her father cry because he always wears sunglasses. Upset, Mike took off his glasses and threw them on the table. Next, Nic was glad that Santana's father was no longer alive, so he wouldn't have to see his son fail. Mike stood up to confront his rival. "Cash or check?", Santana asked Silva before throwing a punch at Nemeth. Furious, Santana continued to hit Nic, at which point Ryan Nemeth appeared behind him. Mike quickly slammed him against a wall. Nic took advantage of the situation to attack the champion from behind. Nic smashed Santana's head against the table and, ultimately, against the championship belt, leaving its holder lying on the floor. The Nemeths left the room to end the segment.

- Moose and JDC made their way to the ring. Moose sent a direct message to Eddie Edwards, reminding him that their match at Slammiversary can only end when one of them throws in the towel. Moose accused Edwards of destroying his family. "At Slammiversary, revenge will be a bitch, just like your wife," he said.

Eddie and his wife Alisha quickly interrupted the segment. Eddie made it clear that he didn't destroy anything. It was the time he spent with Moose and JDC that made him realize something: that both were a cancer that needed to be cut out. And once he did, he could rebuild The System to make it much better than before. "At Slammiversary, in my hometown of Boston, Massachusetts, I'll END this ONCE AND FOR ALL!", he exclaimed.

JDC took the microphone to remind Eddie that he has known him for over two decades. JDC wasn't upset that he betrayed him. In fact, he understood it was just business. However, his time in TNA had sickened him. And this sickness would make him lose everything, including his own daughter. Alisha called out JDC for mentioning her daughter. After that, she turned to Moose, pointing out that he only wanted revenge on her because she betrayed him. That's why she offered him the chance to do it right then and there. "Give me a spear!", she shouted repeatedly. Moose seemed ready to do it, but JDC convinced him to leave. Alisha continued to provoke Moose, who quickly returned to the ring, ready to finish her off. Once again, JDC stood in his way. Both men left the ring as Alisha and Eddie taunted them. "I promise you something: there will be a funeral at Slammiversary," Moose said before leaving.

- Ricky Sosa starred in a promotional video before his match against Eric Young at Slammiversary. Sosa pointed out that the Canadian hates him because he had never seen a debut like his before. Now he is ready for his first PPV, and he promised to show Young that he deserves his place in TNA.

- Cedric Alexander, Frankie Kazarian, and Mr. Elegance defeated KC Navarro, Fabian Aichner, and Leon Slater in a six-man tag team match. Kazarian surprised Slater with a roll-up for the victory.

- Nic Nemeth delivered a promo in the ring. After the incident with Mike Santana, Nemeth informed the fans that the TNA World Champion would not be medically cleared to compete at Slammiversary. In fact, he didn't believe he could even return to the professional wrestling business. That's why he asked Carlos Silva to do the right thing and crown him as the new TNA World Champion. However, it wasn't the president who appeared, but a bloodied Mike Santana attacking Ryan Nemeth. Santana headed towards the ring, but a multitude of security members led by Silva and Daria Rae prevented both men from coming to blows. With great effort, security managed to take Nic back backstage. Meanwhile, Mike posed for the fans before leaving through the crowd area. And so, this episode came to an end.
