Live Report of WWE SmackDown June 26, 2026

WWE SmackDown begins!

The show starts with a video recap of last week's episode.

We see the arrival of some of tonight's main stars at the venue: Sami Zayn, Gunther, Cody Rhodes, Paige (accompanied by Brie Bella), and Fatal Influence in full.

Trick Williams is the one to kick off the show. Fans welcome him with chants of "Whoop that Trick!". Lil Yachty accompanies the United States Champion. Together they head to the ring. Williams addresses his partner, pointing out that this reception could be an indication that the London fans missed him. Trick understands, as he was not present on the show last week. Williams wants to explain why he was absent. Trick reveals that last week he was in Hawaii getting married to Lash Legend. Now he is a married man, he proudly says while showing his wedding ring on camera. Yachty, on his part, recalls the great party the couple threw for all the guests, among whom he was. Trick informs the audience that Legend stayed at home. That's why he wants to send her a message. "I'm thinking of you, girl," he says looking at the camera. With that said, Williams points out that it's time to talk business. Trick promises to kick Ricky Saints' butt at Night of Champions to head to SummerSlam with his wedding ring, his championship, and his lemon and pepper shoes. "Let's talk about that," he says.

"The Absolute" bursts onto the scene

Saints wants to be the first to congratulate Trick on his marriage. However, this is proof that Williams is not good at making decisions in life. "And what's more important: I don't think this is going to last long around here, you know?" says Saints as he heads into the ring. "Who are you?", the fans chant. "Who am I? I am your wives' favorite lover. I am mom's favorite son, and most importantly: I am ABSOLUTE!", he exclaims.

Upset by the interruption, Williams threatens to kick Ricky's butt tonight. "The Absolute," on his part, believes that Trick is thinking long term, ignoring the fact that he can only make it to SummerSlam as a champion if he manages to defeat him tomorrow at Night of Champions. "Reality is standing in front of you. Tomorrow night, at Night of Champions, you'll be looking at the United States Champion, baby", says Saints before promising him that his story will end tomorrow. Trick, on his part, advises "The Absolute" to focus on his dentist, because he will need it when he kicks his teeth in tomorrow. Yachty tries to intervene, but Ricky tells him to shut up.

Saints wants to know what will happen when he wins the United States Championship. Is the rapper included in the package? Upset, Yachty stands in front of "The Absolute" to make it clear that he would never work for him. Without a word, Ricky throws a right hook at Yachty, who falls to the canvas. Saints quickly escapes the ring to prevent Williams from catching him. The United States Champion turns to Yachty to help him get up. Ricky takes advantage of the situation to return to the ring and attack Trick from behind. With his goal accomplished, Saints returns to the ring. Ricky poses on the entrance ramp as Trick and Yachty watch him from the ropes area. And so we reach the end of this segment.

Jackie Redmond interviews Alexa Bliss backstage. Bliss reveals that Charlotte Flair is dealing with physical and emotional pain after what happened last week. That said, she promises that tonight she will get her revenge on Jade Cargill and her partners when she teams up with Tiffany Stratton. She interrupts the interview to make it clear to Alexa that her personal revenge doesn't matter to her. All she cares about is beating Jade Cargill at Night of Champions to retain her championship. Alexa knows very well that Tiffany has a history with Charlotte. However, Stratton has helped them in the past. "I'm just here to return the favor," says Bliss. Tiffany agrees with that. Tonight they will join forces against their enemies. And, tomorrow, once she defeats Jade Cargill at Night of Champions, she hopes that Alexa and Charlotte will leave her out of this rivalry they have with "The Storm." "That's the plan," says Bliss. Stratton says goodbye to Alexa to head to the ring.

Tag Team Match
Tiffany Stratton and Alexa Bliss vs. Michin and B-Fab

Stratton and Michin start the fight. "Tiffy Time!", chant the fans. Michin taunts her opponent, who catches her in a headlock on the mat. Tiffany trips Michin against the ropes before hitting her with a running hip attack. Stratton finishes her off with a dropkick. 1..2..NO. Alexa tags in to continue the punishment on Michin.

Michin blocks a Sister Abigail, but can't do anything against a dropkick. Michin ends up on the outside, where she receives a tornado DDT. At that moment, B-Fab surprises Alexa with a spinning kick. A confident B-Fab poses in front of the fans as we head into a commercial break.

Back from the break, we see Bliss escaping from Michin's clutches. Tiffany gets the tag, as does B-Fab. Stratton takes care of both her opponents at the same time. Stratton executes an Alabama Slam on B-Fab. 1..2..NO. B-Fab tries to react, but ends up being surprised with a Cutter by the United States Champion. She finishes her off with a Swanton Bomb. 1..2..NO. Michin interrupts the count.

Furious, Alexa grabs Michin by the legs to pull her out of the ring. Bliss hits Michin over and over again. However, her opponent surprises her to throw her over the audience barrier. Michin returns to the ring. Stratton kicks Michin in the stomach before executing a rolling senton on B-Fab. Tiffany seeks height on one of the corners while the referee attends to Michin. Jade appears out of nowhere to push Stratton, who falls to the mat. B-Fab takes advantage to execute a spinning X-Factor. 1..2..3.

Winners: Michin and B-Fab

Cargill, Michin, and B-Fab celebrate in the center of the ring. Soon they decide to approach Stratton, who is cornered in one of the corners. Suddenly, Chelsea Green bursts onto the scene! Armed with a kendo stick, the Canadian gets rid of B-Fab on the entrance ramp. Chelsea enters the ring, but the stick accidentally hits one of the ropes and is sent flying to ringside. Green smiles nervously. Michin charges against Chelsea. She dodges, causing her enemy to hit one of the corners. Green throws her out of the ring, as well as Jade. Smiling, Tiffany thanks Green with a hug. Both women celebrate in the ring as their enemies retreat backstage.

We move to one of the dressing rooms, where we find Solo Sikoa. At that moment, Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga approach him. Solo stands up to greet them. Proudly, Sikoa asks them if they watched WWE Raw last Monday, where he took care of messing with Roman Reigns. Tama responds that they did. And that's a problem. "Your obsession with Roman is tearing this group apart," says Tama. He recalls what happened last week. They asked Solo not to get involved in their title match, but he decided not to listen. And, because of that, they couldn't regain the WWE Tag Team Championships. "Solo, we've received a message from the elders. Tama and I are out," says Talla. Sikoa points out that they can't leave. "We just did," says Tama before leaving with Talla. "You can't leave! How are you going to leave me, huh? You can't just leave without more! I brought you here! Do you understand me? Nobody leaves me! Nobody," says Solo as the segment comes to an end.

A furious Jade Cargill looks for Nick Aldis backstage. When she finally finds him, "The Storm" demands that he schedule a match against Chelsea Green for tonight. The General Manager grants her wish. Satisfied with the response, Cargill leaves the place. And so we reach the end of this brief segment.

Match for the AAA Cruiserweight World Championship
Rey Fenix (c) vs. Nathan Frazer

Both men start with a fast-paced feeling-out phase seeking a quick victory. Rey crushes Nathan in one of the corners. Frazer responds by throwing the champion against that same corner. Fenix kicks the challenger before diving with a diving crossbody. 1..2..NO. Rey executes a dropkick to send Frazer out of the ring. Rey seeks height to dive with a diving crossbody. Nathan prevents Fenix from returning to the ring. After that, he dives onto the masked man with a tremendous tope. This leads to a new commercial break.

We return to see Fenix trying to escape from a hold by Nathan. The Mexican unleashes a rain of chops on his opponent before executing a cutter. After that, he finishes him off with a Death Valley Driver. 1..2..NO. The action moves to the top of one of the corners. Nathan catches Rey to execute a superplex. Fenix immediately responds with a roll-up. A simultaneous kick ends with both men lying on the mat. "This is amazing!" chant the fans.

Rey and Frazer exchange attacks in the center of the ring. Nathan surprises Rey with a knee strike. Fenix responds with a Roundhouse Kick. The masked man tries to gain momentum on the ropes, a moment that Nathan takes advantage of to surprise him with a variant of a Spanish fly. Frazer finishes it with a spinning neckbreaker. 1..2..NO.

Nathan seeks height to dive with a Phoenix Splash. Rey dodges it to unleash a counterattack. Nathan surprises Rey with an enzuigiri. Fenix falls to ringside. Frazer dives with a suicide dive. Rey dodges it, causing his rival to hit the commentator's table. Fenix brings him back into the ring to execute a frog splash. 1..2..NO. Rey can't believe it. The Mexican approaches Frazer in one of the corners to hit him. After that, he lifts him onto his shoulders to execute a definitive Mexican Muscle Buster. 1..2..3.

Winner and STILL AAA Cruiserweight World Champion: Rey Fenix

Fenix helps Nathan to his feet before shaking his hand. Rey raises his opponent's arm as a sign of respect. And so we reach the end of this segment.

Byron Saxton interviews R-Truth and Damian Priest backstage. Byron asks them what their next goal is after their successful title defense last week. "The clubhouse, man. Tell 'em, D," says R-Truth. Priest points out that their main goal is to leave behind their rivalry with MFT and think about the other great teams in the SmackDown tag team division. The War Raiders interrupt the interview, causing Saxton to leave. Erik and Ivar acknowledge that they were surprised to see them survive last week. Now they want to face them in a match where the WWE Tag Team Championships and the AAA titles are on the line. "Let's put all the gold on the line. Winners take it all," says Erik. R-Truth confronts them. "Wrestlers want to come here and talk to us?" asks R-Truth. He turns to his partner to wink at him. After that, he puts a toothpick in his mouth and faces The War Raiders again. R-Truth addresses his friend "Little Jimmy," who says that all members of The Judgment Day can hold a title. Erik reminds him that he is no longer with The Judgment Day. "How dare you?" asks R-Truth as he faces Erik. Damian asks his partner why he's behaving like that. "If you want to go to war, then we..." says R-Truth before Priest covers his mouth. "Guys, we're okay with that. I'll let you know where and when," says the Puerto Rican before taking R-Truth away from the place.

LA Knight arrives at the venue's parking lot. Jackie Redmond approaches him for an interview. Redmond asks "The Megastar" what he's doing on the blue brand. LA Knight could ask her the same, as she works for WWE Raw. That said, he assures her that he has as many questions as she does. The difference is that he will get them when he goes on stage. LA Knight heads inside the venue to end this segment.

We see a promotional video for the final of the King of the Ring tournament that will take place tomorrow at Night of Champions.

LA Knight makes his entrance in the ring. "LA Knight! LA Knight!" chant the fans. "The Megastar" recalls what happened on the last episode of WWE Raw, where he defeated Jimmy Uso after applying a Blunt Force Trauma. However, that victory was partly due to an unexpected intervention by Solo Sikoa. LA Knight acknowledges that it confused him a lot. And that's the reason for his presence on the blue brand tonight. LA Knight asks the Samoan to come on stage so he can answer his questions.

Solo Sikoa heads towards the ring

Solo stands silently in front of LA Knight. "Oh, Solo Sikoa!" chant the fans. LA Knight recalls that most of the times he has coincided in the ring with Solo, he has attacked him. That's why he doesn't understand why he helped him last Monday. Sikoa makes it clear that he didn't come on stage looking for a fight. In fact, he's having a very bad night, as he has just been left alone. LA Knight is sorry to hear that, although it's not something that bothers him. Why? He knows that Sikoa will return with Roman to continue strengthening The Bloodline. The question is: is he really willing to obey The OTC's orders once again?

Solo interrupts LA Knight to make it clear that he hates his entire family, including his brothers Jey and Jimmy, his cousin Roman, and Jacob Fatu. "I hate The Bloodline as a whole. And the only way I can feel good is by ending them. But I know there's one thing we have in common, LA Knight. That you and I don't like The Bloodline", he says. LA Knight agrees with that. Solo should hate The Bloodline, but not as much as Jey, Jimmy, or Fatu. And yet, they have returned with Roman. So, how can he trust that Sikoa won't do the same as them? What's different in this case? "It's different because I have nothing to lose. It's different because I no longer have a family. It's different because now I'm alone. And the enemy of my enemy can be a friend. We can work together. We can be partners and end The Bloodline. We can watch each other's backs," says Solo.

"The Megastar" has heard this proposal before, and it didn't work. LA Knight hates The Bloodline, and he's on his own in this fight. He's been taking on his enemies while outnumbered. "Do I probably need help? YEAH. Do I need Solo Sikoa watching my back?" LA Knight asks. "YEAH," Solo replies. "Nah, nah," "The Megastar" makes clear. "I live and die doing things my way, because it's the only way I've ever known. And I'll live and die the same way, being myself the only way I can, with the whole world saying L-A-Knight, YEAH!" "The Megastar" exclaims before tossing the microphone onto the canvas. LA Knight heads back to the backstage area, bringing the segment to a close.

Byron Saxton interviews Sami Zayn backstage. The Canadian insists that he did the right thing last week. Yes, he may have gotten his revenge, but it only happened because he was provoked. The Canadian laments that nobody understands him... nobody except Johnny Gargano. We then see Gargano lying face down on top of a production crate with Candice LeRae by his side. Sami says none of that matters anymore. His mother always told him that good things happen to good people. And that's why he now has a championship opportunity at Night of Champions. Zayn recalls that he had a similar opportunity at the Saudi Arabia Royal Rumble, but he came up short. However, the Universe has granted him another chance at redemption. Suddenly, Sami realizes what he has just said. The Canadian gets lost in thought as the interview comes to an end.

Paige (w/ Brie Bella) vs. Jacy Jayne (w/ Lainey Reid and Fallon Henley)

As soon as the bell rings, Jacy calls for a timeout to confer with her partners. Reid distracts Paige, allowing Jacy to catch her with a superkick. 1...2...NO. Jayne unleashes a flurry of kicks on the Brit in the corner. The fans shower her with boos. Furious, Paige fires back with authority. "This is my house!" she shouts before smashing her opponent's face into the turnbuckle pads.

Paige continues kicking her opponent before trapping her in a painful submission hold. Jacy grabs the ropes to force the break. Jacy retreats to ringside to regroup with her allies. Paige launches herself onto them with an apron cannonball. Jacy moves out of the way, causing Paige to crash into Lainey and Fallon instead. Jacy capitalizes by delivering a Penalty Kick to Paige.

We return from the commercial break to see Jayne keeping Paige grounded with a headlock. Paige breaks free with a jawbreaker. A simultaneous clothesline leaves both women laid out on the mat. Paige and Jacy exchange strikes in the middle of the ring. The Brit gains the upper hand. Paige hits a German suplex before following up with a fisherman suplex.

Paige sets up for her finisher, but Jacy stops her with several punches. Jayne catches Paige with a running knee strike. 1...2...NO. Jayne screams in frustration. Paige avoids a Rolling Encore, only to be caught with a backslide. Jacy places her feet on the bottom rope for extra leverage. 1...2...NO. Brie shoves Jayne's legs off the rope to break the count.

Furious, Fallon and Lainey confront Brie. Brie takes care of Henley, but she can't stop Reid, who sends her crashing into the steel steps. Lainey climbs onto the apron to distract the referee, but only ends up getting knocked off by Paige with a right hand. Jacy surprises Paige with a roll-up. 1...2...NO. Now it's Paige who rolls up her opponent, grabbing the tights for extra leverage. 1...2...3.

Winner: Paige

Danhausen continues his experiments on The Miz and Kit Wilson. At that moment, Matt Cardona shows up to ask Danhausen about what happened last week. Danhausen realizes his guinea pigs are gone and heads off to look for them, leaving Cardona alone. Los Garza then arrive with the sole purpose of finding Danhausen. Matt assures them he has no idea where he is. The Mexicans decide to leave. Curious, Cardona approaches the object hidden beneath the sheet that's been sitting in Danhausen's lab for weeks. However, just as he's about to lift it, a voice startles him. "Hey, don't touch that!" Danhausen shouts from somewhere off-screen. And with that, the segment comes to an end.

Finn Bálor approaches Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga backstage. "Good to see you guys. Especially you, finally making your own decisions. You remind me of the Tama I used to run with, brother," the Irishman tells Tama. "We used to run together, but that was a long time ago. You know? Shinsuke was also part of my past, and we all saw how that ended," Tama replies before walking away with his partner. The two men pass through the metal detector as they leave the arena. Finn simply watches them go.

Danhausen makes his entrance accompanied by a "zombified" The Miz and Kit Wilson. Danhausen leads them into the ring. He grabs a microphone to greet the London crowd. He welcomes them to "Danhausen TV" before introducing his guests for the evening: The Miz and Kit Wilson. "Aaaaaawesome!" The Miz exclaims. Danhausen turns to Wilson, whom he introduces as a good friend, and asks what he thinks of Los Garza. "Toxic! Toxic!" the Brit shouts.

Los Garza interrupt the segment

Angel and Berto enter the ring, immediately attacking the defenseless Miz and Kit. Once they've cleared them from the ring, the Mexicans turn their attention to Danhausen. He slowly backs away as Los Garza demand that he return their money.

Matt Cardona rushes to the ring!

Nick Aldis appears on the entrance ramp. The General Manager doesn't understand what's going on, but he does know there's a problem that needs to be settled. Since there are four men ready to fight, he makes a tag team match official, and it will take place right here, right now.

Tag Team Match
Danhausen and Matt Cardona vs. Los Garza (Angel and Berto)

We return from the commercial break with Cardona and Berto already trading blows. Matt surprises Berto with a dropkick before connecting with a Broski Boot. Berto escapes and tags in Angel. Cardona doesn't notice, allowing Angel to catch him with a knee strike on the apron. Los Garza stomp Cardona in the corner while Wilson and The Miz wander around ringside.

Los Garza send Matt crashing into the barricade. Afterward, they hit Kit with a tandem clothesline, sending him over the barricade. Angel returns to the ring, where Cardona catches him off guard. Both men tag in their respective partners. Danhausen enters on fire, taking on both opponents at the same time. Danhausen crushes Angel and Berto in opposite corners, taking a break in between to catch his breath.

Berto tries to catch Danhausen with a corner splash, but his opponent moves out of the way just in time. As a result, Berto crashes into his cousin instead. Danhausen takes advantage by delivering a German suplex to Berto. 1...2...NO. Angel breaks up the pin. Cardona tries to get involved, but Angel catches him with a superkick. Angel goes to grab a steel chair, only to find The Miz blocking his path. Kit then tries to take the chair away from him.

Angel escapes both men, only to be taken down by a Rough Ryder. Berto is distracted by the chaos at ringside. Danhausen capitalizes by rolling him up. 1...2...NO. Berto responds with an enzuigiri. Berto heads to the top rope. Danhausen gets back to his feet. "You Are Cursed!" he shouts. Suddenly, the turnbuckle pyro accidentally goes off, blinding Berto, who collapses onto the mat. Danhausen finishes him off with an inverted DDT. 1...2...3.

Winners: Danhausen and Matt Cardona

Byron Saxton interviews Gunther backstage. Saxton asks the Austrian if he saw Sami Zayn's interview, in which he claimed that his match at Night of Champions would be an opportunity for redemption. Gunther makes it clear that the only man who deserves redemption at the PLE is himself. Byron reminds him that his personal record against Cody Rhodes isn't exactly favorable. Annoyed, Gunther points out that "The American Nightmare" defeated him twice by cheating. However, tomorrow will be completely different. Why? That's something he'll share with everyone later tonight. Gunther walks away, bringing the segment to an end.

We see a promotional video for the Queen of the Ring tournament final.

Chelsea Green vs. Jade Cargill

Cargill strikes first. Green answers with a slap. Furious, Jade gets her revenge with a clothesline. Cargill charges at the Canadian, who sidesteps her and sends her tumbling to ringside. Chelsea launches herself onto her opponent with a crossbody. "The Storm" catches her in mid-air and plants her with a Fallaway Slam. Jade poses on the apron as we head into another commercial break.

Back from the break, Chelsea escapes a hold with a jawbreaker. Cargill answers with a chokeslam. 1...2...NO. Jade hurls Green into the corner before charging in with a corner spear. The Canadian moves out of the way, causing her opponent to crash into the ring post. Chelsea unleashes a barrage of punches before connecting with a Missile Dropkick. 1...2...NO.

Green goes for the Unprettier, but Jade blocks it. Cargill then looks for a Pump Kick. Chelsea ducks it and fires back with a superkick. However, Chelsea appears slightly disoriented. Jade capitalizes by finally connecting with the Pump Kick. She then puts her away with Jaded. 1...2...3.

Winner: Jade Cargill

"The Storm" continues attacking Chelsea, prompting Alexa Bliss and Tiffany Stratton to rush out for the save. Cargill retreats to ringside, where Michin and B-Fab appear. Cargill returns to the ring to join her allies. The numbers game quickly gives them control. After taking out Bliss and Green, the heels launch a three-on-one assault on Tiffany, who eventually falls victim to a Jaded. "This is a preview of what's waiting for you on Saturday!" Cargill shouts at her victim before standing triumphantly over her.

Byron Saxton interviews Solo Sikoa backstage. Byron recaps everything that's happened tonight, from Tama Tonga and Talla Tonga leaving to LA Knight rejecting Solo's offer to join forces. Solo remains silent, deep in thought. Royce Keys enters the scene. "You know Jacob is coming for you, right?" Keys asks. "So what? Are you going to help me like I helped you?" Solo replies. Royce smiles. "Good luck," Keys says as he pats the Samoan on the shoulder before walking away, bringing the brief segment to a close.

We see a promotional video for the Night of Champions match between Bron Breakker and Seth Rollins.

Jackie Redmond interviews Trick Williams and Lil Yachty backstage. Redmond brings up what happened earlier tonight with Ricky Saints. Upset, Yachty snatches the microphone from Jackie and addresses "The Absolute" directly. The rapper congratulates him because, after what he did tonight, he finally has the full attention of the United States Champion. Trick makes it clear that he's better than Ricky in every way, and he'll prove it at Night of Champions. "Night of Champions will be Trick Williams' night. Let's talk about that," Trick says to wrap up the interview.

Giulia vs. Kiana James

Kiana catches Giulia with a kick as soon as the opening bell rings. James keeps the pressure on her former partner with several corner spears. Giulia halts the assault with a kick. "The Beautiful Madness" avoids an elbow drop before firing back with several kicks. Giulia follows up with a dropkick. 1...2...NO. Kiana blocks her opponent's finisher but can't avoid a headbutt. James rolls out to ringside. Kiana avoids a diving foot stomp from Giulia, catches her, and drives her onto the steel steps. Smiling, Kiana returns to the ring as we head into another commercial break.

Back from the break, both women are down on the mat. Giulia and James trade strikes in the middle of the ring. "The Beautiful Madness" takes control with a flurry of punches, but her opponent stops her with a superkick. Kiana attempts a standing moonsault, but Giulia moves out of the way, causing James to crash face-first onto the mat. Giulia drops James with two shoulder tackles before following up with a hurricanrana. Giulia kicks Kiana in the face before planting her with a back suplex. 1...2...NO.

Giulia grabs her opponent by the hair and drags her toward the corner. She climbs to the top rope, but James knocks her down. Kiana follows up with a Falcon Arrow. 1...2...NO. Giulia surprises James with a roll-up. 1...2...NO. Kiana blocks the G-Trigger and counters with a powerbomb. 1...2...NO. James sends Giulia into the corner before hoisting her onto her shoulders and climbing to the second rope. Giulia escapes and delivers a sunset flip powerbomb. Giulia follows up with a G-Trigger before finishing James with a Northern Lights Bomb. 1...2...3.

Winner: Giulia

Giulia celebrates in the middle of the ring when Blake Monroe suddenly appears and attacks "The Beautiful Madness". Monroe catches her with a Neutralizer. "The Glamour" poses over her fallen victim to end the segment.

Cody Rhodes makes his way to the ring to a thunderous ovation from the crowd. "So, London, what do you guys want to talk about?" Cody asks as he begins his promo. However, the Undisputed WWE Champion is quickly interrupted by the entrance music of Sami Zayn.

The Canadian thanks his London fans—the ones who have supported him since day one. With that said, he heads to the ring to apologize to Cody for what happened last week. Sami admits he lost control, but it's also true that he was provoked. Even so, as "the last good man in this place," he should have handled things differently. That said, Zayn makes it clear that he never wanted to become involved in Cody's rivalry with Gunther.

Rhodes interrupts, making it clear that this is exactly what the Canadian wanted all along. After all, Sami has everything going for him: he'll compete in a country that means so much to him, and he'll be in a match where he doesn't even have to pin the champion to win the title. Quite a setup for someone who's always complaining about not getting opportunities. "You're not a victim. You're not. Sami, you know what you are? You're exhausting. You're exhausting. Every interaction we've had backstage, you were like a mosquito sucking my blood," Cody says.

Rhodes wonders what Sami was expecting. Did he think Cody would just walk out and hand him the championship? No. That's not how things work. In fact, there's something Cody doesn't understand: Sami's friendship with Kevin Owens, because the two men are different in two very important ways. For one, Owens would walk out here, tell Cody exactly what he thinks, and then stab him in the back. The second difference is that KO has actually been a world champion.

Furious, Zayn warns Cody never to mention Owens' name again. He then points out that Rhodes should be incredibly grateful to him, because if it weren't for Sami, Cody wouldn't be the Undisputed WWE Champion today. But that's all going to change at Night of Champions, because the title will be taken away from him. And just like last week, Sami will be directly responsible.

Gunther interrupts the segment!

The Austrian doesn't understand what's happening in the ring, nor does he care. The only thing that matters to him is winning the championship resting on Cody's shoulder. Gunther agrees with Sami, because if it weren't for him, he'd already be champion. However, the Canadian is wrong about one thing—he won't be the winner at Night of Champions. "The Ring General" reminds Zayn that he's never been a world champion, and he never will be. Gunther then turns to Rhodes and advises him to enjoy his final night as champion. The Austrian makes it clear that he'll be the one facing the King of the Ring winner at SummerSlam.

USSSSOOOOOOO!

Jey Uso makes his entrance. The Samoan heads into the ring and immediately starts yeeting with the fans. The crowd asks for an encore. Jey is happy to oblige, but Gunther cuts him off. Jey shrugs it off, saying nobody would want to yeet with the Austrian anyway. With that out of the way, he has a short and simple message: he's going to win the King of the Ring tournament at Night of Champions, and he doesn't care who he has to face at SummerSlam. In fact, if he ends up facing the Austrian, he'll have no problem making him tap out like a little bitch, just like he did at WrestleMania.

Enraged, Gunther attacks Jey. Cody stops the Austrian. Sami then pulls Rhodes away from "The Ring General." Gunther turns around and blasts Zayn with a big boot. Jey catches Gunther with a superkick. Cody follows up with a drop down punch. Jey and Cody connect with stereo superkicks, sending Gunther tumbling to ringside. Rhodes and Jey remain in the ring, staring each other down. Suddenly, the arena lights go out.

Oba Femi appears on the entrance ramp!

"Oooooooooooooba! Oooooooooooooba!" the fans chant as "The Ruler" marches toward the ring. Oba steps onto the apron, where he locks eyes with Jey. Gunther returns and blindsides the Samoan with a clothesline. The Austrian picks up the Undisputed WWE Championship and approaches Femi. Sami then attacks Gunther from behind. The Canadian takes the championship away and smashes it over Gunther's head. Sami looks at the title, then at Oba. Cody returns and drops Zayn with a Cross Rhodes. "The American Nightmare" kneels down to retrieve his championship. Oba steps face-to-face with the champion, who raises the title in front of the Nigerian star. With that image, this week's episode comes to an end.
