Joe Tessitore, Peter Rosenberg, and Big E welcome you to the Countdown Show of Night of Champions.
Jackie Redmond interviewed Liv Morgan before the show. The Women's World Champion expressed pride in her twelve years of hard work finally paying off. She mentioned that the success of any member of The Judgment Day is the success of the whole group. She was not happy with the eliminations of Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, as she wanted to face one of them in the Queen of the Ring tournament final. Redmond asked her if the opportunity to challenge her old enemy, Rhea Ripley, was a motivation to win the tournament. Liv recalled that she had defeated the Australian before to take away her world gold and is looking forward to doing it again. However, her main motivation to win the tournament is to prove to all those who still doubt her that she is the best of all time. Regarding her opponent tonight, IYO SKY, Liv recalled that the Japanese has never defeated her one-on-one. And that won't change tonight.
Byron Saxton interviewed Tiffany Stratton backstage. Tiffany remembered her last title loss to Jade Cargill. One that forced her to step aside, recover, and return to win the United States Championship. "Jade and I have a lot of history, but it's a good thing because tonight I will play with her strengths and weaknesses to come out of the event as your United States Champion", she said. Stratton admitted to being worried that history might repeat itself. However, on that occasion, she wasn't physically at 100%. Now her knee is no longer destroyed, and she will be able to defeat Jade. "Jade Cargill may know how to get her hands dirty, but I know how to win when it really matters", Tiffy said to end the interview.
Trick Williams was interviewed by the Countdown Show hosts. Trick made it clear that his recent marriage would not distract him from what really matters tonight: retaining the United States Championship and continuing to write the story of his reign as one of the best. Regarding his opponent tonight and what happened in the last episode of SmackDown, Trick pointed out that Ricky Saints now has all his attention. Williams added that his partner Lil Yachty will be back in business very soon. Big E asked Trick if he was underestimating "The Absolute." Williams made it clear that he is not at the same level. Also, if life has taught him anything, it is that you must live it to the fullest. And that is exactly what he does and will continue to do.
Jackie Redmond interviewed Jey Uso before the show. Redmond asked the Samoan which version of himself he is currently: the fun Jey or the serious Jey. Uso acknowledged that he is confused half the time. However, he assured that he has never changed, nor will he even if he wins ten world championships. Jackie asked him about his problems with Roman Reigns in the past and if he considered them equals. Jey replied that he did. However, in his culture, the Tribal Chief must be respected. And that is something that many people still do not understand. Redmond asked him about his participation in the King of the Ring tournament and what it would mean for him to win it. Jey replied that winning it will put him on the title orbit, and his goal is to surprise the world again. Uso acknowledges that Oba Femi, his rival in the final, is a big and powerful guy. The man who managed to defeat Brock Lesnar. However, for him, it is just another chapter in his story that he must overcome. Jey ended the interview promising Jackie that the next time she interviews him, he will be the new Undisputed WWE Champion.
Danhausen interrupts Michael Cole backstage. Danhausen wants to be interviewed as a possible winner of the King of the Ring tournament. Cole reminds him that he is not a participant. Danhausen points out that if he were, he would have defeated all his opponents to reach the final. Who would he have faced then? "To The Ruler Oba Femi," Cole replies. "Ohhhhh.... next question," says Danhausen. Michael asks him what he would have done if he had won the tournament. Danhausen fantasizes about a cape to match his crown while saying "3:16." Cole and Danhausen remain silent. Finally, Michael asks Danhausen to leave.
Byron Saxton interviews Triple H backstage. The WWE Content Chief is proud of the over 18,000 fans who will pack the stands tonight. Triple H highlights the importance of the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, noting that history has shown that a victory can propel talent to new levels. Triple H continues to review the PLE card before finally highlighting the food and hospitality of Arabia, which have been incredible. Saxton thanks him for his time to end the interview.
