Apollo Crews is now part of TNA Wrestling after making his debut at Slammiversary under his former ring name, Uhaa Nation. His arrival took place at the event held on Saturday at the Agganis Arena in Boston, where he was introduced as one of the two mystery opponents of Mustafa Ali.
Ali defended the TNA International Championship in a three-way match against Nation and Rich Swann. He ultimately retained the title by pinning Swann with a bridging suplex, after Order 4 buried Nation under the steel steps outside the ring.
After the match, TNA aired a backstage segment where Moose welcomed Nation to the company. With that, his official incorporation was sealed on television. In recent days, there had been speculation about the possibility of the wrestler being added to the company during the show.
Interest in the former WWE wrestler had already emerged earlier in the week, although it was not yet clear if he was still subject to a 90-day non-compete clause. Nation was part of the WWE cuts announced on April 24 and during his time with the company, he became Intercontinental Champion and United States Champion.
