WWE Raw begins on Netflix!
We see a video recap of WWE Night of Champions.
Oba Femi is in charge of opening tonight's show. "Oooooooooooooba! Ooooooooooooooooba!" chant the fans to welcome "The Ruler". He heads to the ring with his King of the Ring crown in hand. Oba poses with the crown before taking a microphone. "Oooooooooooba! Oooooooooooooba!" the fans chant again. A smiling Femi points out that this is the proper welcome for a "ruler". However, now they are in the presence of a king, so they need a proper welcome for their new King of the Ring. "The Ruler" reminds that he told Jey Uso that Destiny was already written. Now that he has been defeated, the Samoan is a believer. That said, Oba points out that the time has come to make a decision as the tournament winner. Suddenly...
Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar appear on the entrance ramp!
"The Beast" strolls calmly around the ring while greeting some fans. Finally, Lesnar and Heyman enter the ring. A smiling Brock applauds Oba, who remains motionless in his position. Paul hands a microphone to Lesnar. "Ladies and gentlemen, your King of the Ring, OBA FEMI!" exclaims Brock. He acknowledges that he has not watched WWE Raw shows. In fact, and as everyone knows, he never does. But still, he wants to congratulate him on his tournament victory.
Brock points out that, despite not following the company's TV programming, Heyman has kept him well informed. He knows that Oba has a decision to make, and also that the Nigerian has called him "coward" and "bitch". Paul has also told him that Femi has delivered good promos. Brock acknowledges that he doesn't know how to deliver good promos. That's why he leaves them to Heyman. "The Beast" gets serious. "But Oba, you know what they say: 'if you talk bad, you get hit,'" he says before kicking him with a low blow. Brock catches the Nigerian to finish him off with an F-5. Satisfied, Lesnar and Heyman leave the ring to head back backstage.
A pained Femi approaches the ropes to ask for a microphone. "The Ruler" addresses his attacker directly to make it clear that he is tired of him. "You show up, execute an F-5, and leave. And you say I call you names behind your back. Well, you know what? You're in front of me, and you're still a bitch!", he exclaims. "That's how things are. We can play the cat and mouse game forever, or we can settle scores. You and me. Oba Femi vs. Brock Lesnar at SummerSlam! What do you say?", Femi asks. "I accept, Oba. But with one condition. I raise the stakes, Oba. SummerSlam. Minneapolis. Hell in a Cell," replies "The Beast". "Let's go! Let's end this!," exclaims Femi as Lesnar's theme music resonates in the arena. Brock and Heyman retreat backstage to end the segment.
We return from commercial to go directly backstage, where Paul Heyman tries to convince Adam Pearce to accept the proposal of Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar. In fact, he believes the General Manager should be grateful for being given a match of this magnitude for SummerSlam. At that moment, Austin Theory appears on the scene. Theory is glad to see Heyman. "I'm glad to see you, man. I didn't know. You weren't answering my calls," says Austin. "You didn't know I was here? Well, now you know," Paul replies before leaving. "What was all that about?," a puzzled Pearce asks Austin. "I don't know," a confused Theory replies.
The General Manager approaches a pained Oba Femi to ask him about what happened tonight. Pearce wants to be completely sure that the Nigerian wants a match against Lesnar at SummerSlam. "The Ruler" points out that the championships will always be there for him to conquer. "I'll take them whenever I want," he says. Adam asks him if he is completely sure he wants to face "The Beast" in a Hell in a Cell Match. "Yes, I'm sure! I need it to happen. This has to end. I will be the one to end this. Make it happen," says Oba before leaving.
Ethan Page vs. Rey Mysterio
Ethan traps Rey in a headlock. Mysterio frees himself, only to be taken down with a shoulder tackle. Rey shows off his agility to surprise Page with a hurricanrana. Mysterio prepares to unleash a flurry of punches in one of the corners, but "All Ego" makes him fall, causing his opponent to hit the ropes. Page applies several corner spears on Rey, prompting the referee to intervene.
Mysterio recovers, but his opponent makes him fall on the top turnbuckle. Ethan tries to rip off the legend's mask. Rey manages to shake off his opponent with several elbows. Page returns to attack the masked wrestler, making him fall on his back on the ropes. Rey falls to ringside. Ethan goes after Mysterio to continue hitting him. Page pushes Rey against the apron to punish his sore back.
Ethan brings the masked wrestler back into the ring to trap him in a painful submission hold. Rey frees himself, only to receive a spinning backbreaker. Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh look for Danhausen in his laboratory. The members of The Judgment Day want to recover their money. In addition, JD wants Danhausen to remove the curse that weighs on him, as he has a match to compete in tonight. Dom comes up with an idea to lure Danhausen out of hiding: using the t-shirt that the New York Knicks gave him as bait. McDonagh points out that it's time to leave the lab. However, Mysterio wants to destroy it. "I have a couple of ideas," says the AAA Megachampion as the segment comes to an end.
Joe Hendry makes his entrance in the ring. "Decide his name, because he has appeared!," exclaims the Scotsman. "And now, who's ready for a Joe Hendry concert?," he asks. Before getting to that, Joe wants to introduce his special guests for this occasion: the new World Tag Team Champions The Street Profits.
Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins head to the ring with the titles in their hands.
Hendry takes a seat in a chair in the center of the ring while Ford and Dawkins have fun with the audience. With a microphone in hand, Montez wants to thank all the fans for all the love and affection they have shown them this past week. "You deserve it!," chants the audience. Ford points out that they have to thank a few people, starting with the WWE Universe. Montez also wants to thank Angelo for being by his side for the past decade and for always believing in this team. Ford thanks Seth Rollins. Dawkins adds that, thanks to Seth, The Vision received what they deserved. Finally, Montez thanks Hendry for his help last week. Ford believes that Rollins' involvement, Hendry, and the WWE Universe in their title victory was like a beautiful song. Joe starts to sing.
"We have new Tag Team Champions. Let everyone make some noise.
We are in Atlantic City, in a celebration with all the guys.
There won't be Bron Breakker and we won't hear from Logan Paul.
There won't be Paul Heyman because he's busy with Brock.
And that leaves us with Austin Theory.
Austin Theory cries himself to sleep at night since John Cena destroyed him on the mic.
Now he's in The Vision, but I know he won't..."
Austin Theory interrupts the concert!
Austin accuses Montez and Angelo of stealing the World Tag Team Championships from him. After that, he addresses Hendry. "You mentioned John Cena. The same John Cena I defeated at WrestleMania?," he asks. Austin wonders why The Street Profits are celebrating. Maybe they don't know something he does. And that is, after talking to Adam Pearce, he has secured a rematch for next week. Angelo has no problem with it, although he wonders if Bron Breakker will be recovered by then. Theory makes it clear that he will. Austin turns to Joe to promise him that the song he dedicated to him tonight will be the last one he composes. "Because as you said, John Cena destroyed me on the mic. Likewise, I will destroy you tonight," he promises. Hendry knows his match is scheduled for later, but he proposes not to wait and do it here and now. Austin enters the ring to face the Scotsman.
Joe Hendry vs. Austin Theory
Theory attacks Joe before the referee rings the bell. Hendry recovers to take down his opponent with a neckbreaker. Joe applies several chops on Austin before unleashing a flurry of punches in one of the corners. Hendry finishes off his opponent with a Vertical Suplex. 1..2..NO. Theory makes Joe stumble against one of the corners before executing a clothesline. Austin continues to attack Joe. He tries to recover, but is knocked down again by his opponent.
Theory performs a backbreaker on Hendry before unleashing a barrage of punches on his face. Austin traps his opponent in a headlock. Joe frees himself to respond with a DDT. Hendry continues to attack Theory, who he knocks down with a Freak of Nature. Joe performs his classic spin to finish off his opponent with a clothesline. 1..2..NO. Austin surprises the Scotsman in one of the corners to knock him down with a right hook. 1..2..NO. Theory executes a shoulderbreaker on his opponent. 1..2..NO. Austin and Joe exchange attacks. Theory surprises Hendry with an elbow, only for the Scotsman to respond with a definitive sit-out uranage. 1..2..3.
Winner: Joe Hendry
We move backstage, where Raquel Rodriguez demands a shot at the Intercontinental Championship from Adam Pearce. He informs the Texan that she is not the only woman who has requested an opportunity. Rodriguez wants to know who it is. Pearce replies that it is Maxxine Dupri. Raquel laughs, affirming that Dupri is not at her level. The General Manager reminds her that Maxxine is a former Intercontinental champion. Rodriguez hints that she could step over her if that guarantees her desired opportunity. Adam considers it a good idea, so he schedules a match between them. And that fight will take place later tonight. Pearce leaves, at which point Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez appear. Raquel informs them that she still doesn't have her opportunity. Before that, she will have to defeat Dupri. Liv points out that this is not a problem. The real problem is that IYO SKY is after her world championship. In addition, they are still dealing with the curse of Danhausen. Rodriguez interrupts her to indicate that Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh will take care of Danhausen. She, on the other hand, will have her back when it comes to SKY. A relieved Morgan hugs her teammates, confident that everything will turn out fine.
Cathy Kelley interviews Ethan Page in the stands. Kelley asks him if his defeat tonight is a setback for him. "All Ego" is not angry about what happened. He faced a WWE Hall of Famer. Page points out that to reach the legendary status that the masked wrestler currently possesses, it is necessary to "break a few eggs". Ethan recalls that last week he defeated Dragon Lee. Immediately Mysterio requested this match, knowing that Page would not be fully recovered. "Today I didn't have my best night, but I promise everyone that All Ego WILL be a man bathed in gold," says Ethan to end the interview.
IYO SKY makes her entrance. "The Genius of Sky" heads to the ring with the Queen of the Ring crown in her hand. The Japanese wrestler takes a microphone to address the fans. "I am super grateful to return to the United States as Queen of the Ring!," she exclaims as she places the crown on her head. IYO thanks all the fans in Japanese. "I defeated Liv Morgan last weekend. At SummerSlam, I will defeat her again. And I will be Women's World Champion... again!," she says.
Live Morgan interrupts the promo from the entrance ramp!
Morgan says she's surprised by IYO's promo because the champion seems proud of defeating her cleanly, when that wasn't the case at all. Liv insists the Japanese star simply had luck on her side. On top of that, Morgan was cursed because of Danhausen. Morgan heads to the ring to make it clear that things will be different at SummerSlam. For starters, she has lost all the respect she once had for IYO. What's more, the Japanese star has made her furious. And she should already know what happens to people who make Liv angry (like Finn Bálor and Rhea Ripley). Liv steps onto the apron to make a promise to IYO. "I promise you that at SummerSlam I will completely destroy you and remain the greatest Women's World Champion of aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall time!" she says. "But until then, IYO, sweetheart, you're in a whole lot of trouble."
Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez appear on the apron, ready to attack the Japanese star. IYO catches Roxy off guard with a dropkick, sending her crashing to ringside. Rodriguez charges at SKY, but IYO pulls down the top rope, causing Raquel to tumble out alongside her partner. Liv tries to catch IYO with an ObLIVion, but the Japanese star avoids it and answers with a German suplex. SKY looks to continue her assault on the champion when Raquel and Roxanne return. The two Texans blindside "The Genius of the Sky." The three members of The Judgment Day swarm IYO. Morgan finally connects with an ObLIVion. Afterward, she traps SKY's left knee (the same one she injured at Night of Champions) in a Single Boston Crab. IYO screams in pain. Several officials rush to the ring to pull the champion away from her victim. The members of The Judgment Day leave the ring satisfied with their handiwork while officials tend to the Japanese star.
Jimmy Uso vs. LA Knight
Jey Uso joins the commentary team as a special guest commentator. "The Megastar" steps out of the ring to confront Jey. LA Knight warns him not to leave his chair during the match. Knight then returns to the ring to get the bout underway. "The Megastar" traps Jimmy in a grounded headlock. LA Knight continues his offense by targeting the Samoan's left arm. Jimmy heads back outside to slam Knight's head into the table again, but LA Knight turns the tables and gives Jimmy a taste of his own medicine. Knight taunts Jey before dragging his brother back into the ring for a cover. 1...2...NO.
LA Knight climbs to the top rope, looking for a diving clothesline, but Jimmy cuts him off with a right hand to the stomach. The two exchange strikes. Uso catches his opponent with a Samoan Drop. LA Knight avoids a running hip attack and fires back with a flurry of punches. Jimmy halts the comeback, only to be floored by a flying clothesline + Russian Leg Sweep + Neckbreaker combo. LA Knight goes for a diving elbow drop, but Jimmy dodges it and answers with a spear. 1...2...NO.
Jimmy heads to the top turnbuckle. LA Knight quickly meets him there and brings him crashing down with a superplex. 1...2...NO. Jey rises from his seat, visibly nervous as the match intensifies. Jimmy ends up at ringside, where he's hit by a rope dropkick. LA Knight teases throwing Jimmy into Jey, but reveals he was only joking. Or maybe not... LA Knight suddenly blasts Jey with a big boot!
LA Knight returns to the ring and lands a diving elbow drop on Jimmy. He readies the Blunt Force Trauma, but an enraged Jey tries to enter the ring. LA Knight knocks Jey back to ringside. Jimmy capitalizes on the distraction and catches Knight with a roll-up. 1...2...3.
Winner: Jimmy Uso
A furious LA Knight floors Jimmy with a right hand, leaving the Samoan sprawled across the canvas. Knight continues the attack until Jey finally steps in. Jey unloads on LA Knight in the corner. Suddenly, Solo Sikoa appears and catches Jimmy with a Samoan Spike. Sikoa retreats through the crowd while mocking Jey. LA Knight takes advantage of the distraction to hit the former World Heavyweight Champion with a Blunt Force Trauma. Solo gives "The Megastar" a parting gesture before leaving the arena, bringing the segment to a close.
We see footage from backstage after WWE Night of Champions, where Gunther and Nick Aldis came to blows following a heated argument. As a result, the SmackDown General Manager has been temporarily suspended. Adam Pearce will oversee the blue brand until further notice.
Jackie Redmond interviews Rey Mysterio in the crowd area. The WWE Hall of Famer is pleased with his recent victory, saying that from this night forward Ethan Page will respect professional wrestling. Redmond mentions the legendary status Rey has achieved in WWE before asking what's next for him. Mysterio admits that his goal is to compete at SummerSlam, preferably against Penta one more time. Rey believes the fans want to see it as well, and he's willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen. Mysterio makes it clear that he respects Penta. In fact, the two share a very similar style, which is why he knows exactly how he could beat him. However, that will only be possible if he's given the opportunity. Redmond asks if he's willing to reveal that secret. Rey smiles and says he can't answer because Penta might be listening. Jackie thanks him for his time, bringing the interview to an end.
We head back backstage, where The Usos confront Jacob Fatu for not coming to their aid earlier tonight. "The Samoan Werewolf" reminds them once again that he only takes orders from Roman Reigns, who instructed him to head to SmackDown to deal with the threat posed by Solo Sikoa. Jey Uso recalls that Night of Champions didn't go as planned. Sami Zayn is now the Undisputed WWE Champion and currently has no challenger. So Jey will accompany Jacob to the blue brand with the goal of bringing that title back to The Bloodline. "Good. Then I'll see you there," Jacob says before walking away.

Lyra Valkyria delivers a video promo explaining her attack on Bayley last week. "I'm not proud of what happened, but it's not something that keeps me up at night either," she says. She's been biting her tongue for far too long while carrying all the weight and sacrificing her own success. And all because she wanted to help Bayley get back to the top. Valkyria says everyone knows she can succeed on her own. She proved it by becoming the inaugural Women's Intercontinental Champion. However, she made the mistake of trusting someone who is supposed to be one of the very best. "Now there's a huge gap between who I am and who I could be. I never wanted to hurt Bayley. But last week, it felt so good to close that gap, even if it was only by a little bit," the Irishwoman says to bring the video to an end.
Maxxine Dupri runs into Chad Gable backstage. Maxxine starts to walk away but quickly turns back toward her former teammate. Dupri apologizes to Gable—not for what she said last week, but for how she said it. She admits it wasn't right. "Maxxine, I appreciate it, but you don't owe me an apology. Or forgiveness. If that comes, it'll happen in due time, not tonight. I want you to focus on what's right in front of you, and that's your match. Good luck," Gable says. Dupri thanks him before continuing on her way.
Maxxine Dupri vs. Raquel Rodriguez
Dupri uses her athleticism to avoid a big boot before sending her opponent out of the ring. Maxxine goes after the Texan, but Raquel grabs her by the hair and slams her to the floor. Rodriguez brings her back into the ring. Raquel uses the top rope to execute a suplex. 1...2...NO. Rodriguez locks Maxxine in a Torture Rack. Dupri escapes and looks for a sunset flip. Raquel blocks it and answers with a devastating clothesline. 1...2...NO.

Maxxine follows up with a leg drop to the back of the neck. 1...2...NO. The action continues. Rodriguez blocks another spinning kick and responds with the Texana Bomb. 1...2...3.
Winner: Raquel Rodriguez
Danhausen enters his laboratory only to find it completely trashed. He has no idea what happened. Liv Morgan appears and informs him that The Judgment Day is responsible. Danhausen asks if they conduct experiments too. Annoyed, Liv reminds him that he "stole" $100,000 from Dominik Mysterio, electrocuted JD McDonagh, and cursed her at Night of Champions, ultimately costing her the Queen of the Ring tournament final. "Find a way to fix this, or The Judgment Day will keep making your tiny, pathetic little life a living hell," Liv says before walking away.
Chad Gable vs. JD McDonagh (w/ Dominik Mysterio)
We see Dom wearing Danhausen's New York Knicks shirt. The bell rings. Chad takes JD down, forcing him to quickly retreat to the apron. Gable and McDonagh exchange holds. JD escapes a crucifix pin and kicks his opponent in the stomach. Chad recovers and unloads with several chops on the Irishman. The two men exchange roll-ups.
Chad surprises JD with an Ankle Lock. Dominik pushes the ring skirt into the ring so his partner can grab onto it. Mysterio pulls on the ring skirt, allowing McDonagh to slide out of the ring and escape the submission hold. Chad confronts Dominik at ringside. McDonagh takes advantage by shoving Chad into the steel steps. JD then drops Gable onto the steps, injuring his left knee.
JD brings Chad back into the ring and focuses his attack on the injured knee. Gable fights free but soon finds himself trapped once again. JD trips Chad before planting a leg drop across the back of his neck. McDonagh reapplies a painful hold to Gable's knee. Chad repeatedly slaps him until he's finally able to break free.
Gable rallies with three consecutive German suplexes. Chad follows up with two spinning heel kicks in the corner. He goes for a third, but McDonagh counters into a standing Spanish Fly. 1...2...NO. Gable breaks the count with a crucifix pin. 1...2...NO. The action continues. JD plants Chad with a powerbomb. 1...2...NO. McDonagh follows up with a brainbuster. 1...2...NO.
Chad blocks a Devil Inside and answers with a belly-to-belly suplex. JD lands in the corner. Gable climbs to the top rope looking for a moonsault. McDonagh raises his knees to stop Chad on the way down, but Gable anticipated it. He lands on his feet and immediately traps the Irishman's leg in an Ankle Lock. JD rolls through and sends Chad into the ropes. Chad heads to the top rope once again. McDonagh rushes in and catches him with a Spanish Fly. JD lands hard on his own head in the process. Even so, he's able to cover his opponent. 1...2...NO.
Suddenly, Danhausen appears in the crowd and places a briefcase on top of the barricade. The moment Dominik sees him, he chases after Danhausen, who flees through the crowd. Meanwhile, Chad grabs JD, looking for a German suplex. The Irishman blocks it and counters with a roll-up. 1...2...NO. Gable breaks the count and immediately locks McDonagh in an Ankle Lock. Unable to withstand the pain, JD taps out.
Winner by submission: Chad Gable
Dom and JD open the briefcase expecting to find their money, only to trigger an explosive trap that covers them in powder! Both men are temporarily blinded. Danhausen returns to retrieve his shirt before triumphantly making his way up the entrance ramp. Suddenly, Raquel Rodriguez appears behind him and attacks him. The Texan picks up the shirt from the floor, but Danhausen mysteriously vanishes without a trace. Rodriguez heads over to check on her Judgment Day teammates. Mysterio uses Danhausen's shirt to wipe the powder off his face. Thus ends the segment.
We see a dejected Maxxine Dupri backstage. Austin Theory approaches her and asks about her conversation with Chad Gable earlier tonight. "Chad... it's complicated," Maxxine says. "Complicated? This is pretty simple. If you want to go back down that road, maybe this isn't working," Austin replies before walking away. Otis and Akira Tozawa then arrive on the scene. Concerned, they ask Maxxine if she's okay. "I don't know," she answers before leaving.
Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu make their way to the ring. "OTC! OTC! OTC!" the fans chant. Roman soaks in the crowd's reaction before taking the microphone. "Atlantic City... ACKNOWLEDGE ME!" he shouts. The fans raise their index fingers. "OTC! OTC! OTC!" they chant once again.
BURN IT DOWN!
Seth Rollins interrupts the segment. "The Visionary" heads to the ring without taking his eyes off his former ally. Rollins grabs a microphone and stands face-to-face with Roman. The two men stare at each other in silence. "Hello, brother," Seth says before reminding Roman that it's been 14 years since they formed The Shield. A moment that has connected them ever since. Call it destiny if you want, but Seth thinks it's fitting that they're standing in Atlantic City tonight. "You're holding a championship that belongs to me. And yes, brother... it's time to collect," he says.
Roman laughs. The Samoan says Seth is at the back of the line because he hasn't done anything to earn a shot at his championship. Rollins replies that Roman can play that game with the rest of the locker room, but when it comes to him, he's always at the front of the line. "Because you owe me everything you've ever done. Everything you've become. Everything you are. You belong to me. That's been true for the last 14 years," Seth declares.
Rollins recalls his victory at WrestleMania 41, where he also took Roman's Wiseman away from him. A year earlier, he sacrificed himself so Cody Rhodes could end Roman's reign of terror. Seth goes back even further, remembering the four years leading up to WrestleMania 40 when Roman completely dominated WWE. The Tribal Chief defeated everyone... except Seth. Rollins rewinds the clock once again to remind everyone of the greatest Money in the Bank cash-in in WWE history, the moment he won the WWE Championship at Reigns' expense. Seth says it all began the day he hit Roman in the back with a steel chair.
Rollins acknowledges everything Roman has accomplished in WWE. However, there's one thing he's never done: beat Seth Rollins. That's why he's here tonight. He wants to give Roman a gift. He wants to give him the opportunity to erase that stain from his legacy. But Roman needs to decide quickly because that opportunity might be his last. Rollins reminds him that they entered this industry together to shake it to its core. Now, however, they're closer to the end of their careers than the beginning. One sign of that is the emergence of young stars just as hungry as they once were.
Seth is convinced Roman will go down as one of the greatest of all time—perhaps the greatest. He'll be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame. Rollins might even be the one introducing him that night. But if Roman refuses his challenge, he'll never escape the ghost known as Seth Rollins. "What do you say, brother? For old times' sake."
"It's been a long time since I heard the truth come out of your mouth, little brother. But you're right. I don't want to beat you. I NEED to beat you. I NEED my entire family to witness me defeating you. And that's exactly what I'm going to do at SummerSlam. I accept, brother," Roman says. He raises the World Heavyweight Championship in front of Seth before leaving the ring alongside Fatu. The Samoans head up the entrance ramp while Rollins watches them in silence. With that, this week's episode comes to an end.
