The CW and Netflix will air a new episode of WWE NXT tonight, with Vic Joseph and Booker T at the commentary table, taped from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The show will feature Kendal Grey's first title defense, putting the Women's Championship on the line against Nattie as the main attraction.
Additionally, the show will include two fatal four-way matches to determine the next challengers for the NXT Tag Team Championships and the NXT Women's North American Title. As always, we invite you to comment on the article to give your opinion on what happened on the show.
WWE NXT starts on Netflix!
Kali Armstrong opens tonight's show. Kali recalls Kendal Grey's title victory at The Great American Bash and how the fans received her last week. However, while they chanted "You deserve it!", she only saw Grey as a target. That's why she attacked the champion last week. Now everyone is talking about her. As far as she's concerned, this seems to be the only way she can get others' attention. Armstrong knows the locker room very well. She has heard girls crying because they don't get opportunities. Others who do get them, simply waste them. She, on the other hand, creates them. That's why she's the woman who makes a difference in NXT. Kali insists that everyone started talking about her as soon as she attacked Grey. Now, it's not about "if" she will win the NXT Women's Championship, but "when". And she doesn't care who holds the title at that time. "I don't care if it's Kendal or Nattie. Because I have something for both, either way," she says.
Lola Vice interrupts the segment!
Lola heads to the ring while asking Armstrong to shut up once and for all. Vice makes it clear to Kali that she didn't achieve anything by attacking Kendal. She simply showed that she is an impatient woman. Also, it seems she has forgotten something: Lola has not had her rematch yet. Armstrong interrupts Vice, pointing out that this is no longer about her. Now Kali is the first in line to get a title shot.
Kelani Jordan enters the scene!
Kelani doesn't understand why both women are arguing over an opportunity that, frankly, they don't deserve. Lola lost the championship at The Great American Bash. Armstrong, on the other hand, showed that she is not capable of attacking Grey unless it's from behind. That's why neither of them has the right to demand opportunities. Jordan, on the other hand, did things the right way. She defeated Tatum Paxley to prove that she is the "standard" of this division. However, no one talks about her. No. The conversation revolves around poor Tatum. Jordan insists that the conversation about the next challenger for the NXT Women's Championship should revolve around her. Lola tells Jordan to shut up, who responds with a push. Both women start exchanging attacks. Armstrong decides to intervene by taking down both with a double clothesline, followed by a double Kali Connection. Armstrong poses over Lola and Kelani as the segment comes to an end.
We see the arrival of some of tonight's protagonists: Nattie (with Layla Diggs, Nikkita Lyons, and Karmen Petrovic) and Kendal Grey (alongside Wren Sinclair).
Fatal Four-Way Match for a Shot at the NXT Tag Team Championships
OTM (Lucien Price and Bronco Nima) vs. BirthRight (Uriah Connors and Channing "Stacks" Lorenzo) (with Lexis King, Arianna Grace, and Charlie Dempsey) vs. Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux vs. DarkState (Osiris Griffin and Cutler James)
Connors, Osiris, Bronco, and Legacy start the match. Nima and Griffin get rid of Connors and Sean to start their own fight, but the latter soon return to action. Uriah surprises Legacy with a dropkick before tagging Lorenzo. The action continues. Legacy takes control. Sean kicks Nima before taking down Lorenzo with a powerslam. Dux gets the tag to finish off "Stacks" with a diving legdrop. 1..2..NO.
Now it's Dorian who dominates the match. Bronco throws him out of the ring, as well as Cutler. Nima applies a painful backbreaker to "Stacks", at which point Dux returns to the ring. OTM teams up against the Belgian. Lucien kicks Dorian's face with a tremendous knee strike. Channing tries to intervene, but Price catches him. Lucien performs an uranage on Lorenzo, who lands on Dorian. Price covers Dux. 1..2..NO. James interrupts the count.
Cutler and Lucien measure their strength in the center of the ring until they knock each other out with a big boot simultaneously. Legacy and Dux take advantage to take down James with a combined slam, followed by a standing moonsault in parallel. Sean covers him. 1..2..NO. Price interrupts the count. Connors appears on the scene to surprise Lucien, but Cutler returns to take control. James performs several corner spears on Legacy, who Osiris finishes off with a big boot. 1..2..NO. Uriah interrupts the count with a double foot stomp.
Channing and Uriah team up to take control. The BirthRight members focus their offense on Legacy. Osiris enters the action to get rid of Connors and "Stacks". Griffin tags in Cutler. Both execute a double backbreaker on Sean, whom they later throw against Lorenzo in one of the corners. The match descends into chaos, with all participants exchanging attacks. Dux takes control until Bronco stops him.
Nima applies a backbreaker on Dorian, followed by a back elbow. Bronco finishes him off with an inverted spinning slam. 1..2..NO. Connors interrupts the count. Uriah surprises Nima with a springboard cutter for Channing to finish him off with a diving elbow drop. 1..2..NO. Dorian interrupts the count. Chaos takes over the ring again. Several men end up at ringside. Channing and Connors take advantage to execute a combo suplex + powerbomb on Dux. 1..2..NO.
The action moves to the top of one of the corners. Dorian gets rid of Connors and Lorenzo. After that, Dux and Legacy dive with a moonsault simultaneously over the rest of the opponents at ringside. Uriah seeks height to jump on everyone with a Swanton Bomb. Now it's Osiris who jumps with a tope. Suddenly, Saquon Shugars appears in the audience stands. Shugars starts descending the stairs with his baseball bat in hand. Dion Lennox appears on the entrance ramp to rush towards his former partner, who retreats.
Meanwhile, OTM members throw Cutler and Osiris against the metal stairs. Connors waits for the first ones in the ring to surprise them with two superkicks. Uriah gains momentum on the ropes to look for a double cutter, but their rivals stop him in mid-air to respond with a combined slam. The BirthRight members take Lucien out of the ring. Bronco quickly comes to his partner's aid, leading to a fight that moves backstage. Meanwhile, Dux performs a diving splash on Uriah, whom Legacy finishes off with a 450 Splash. 1..2..3.
Winners: Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux
Jaida Parker delivers a video promo. Parker acknowledges that she is obsessed with Nattie because the veteran wrestler made her experience something completely new in her career: she forced her to surrender. But after looking at herself in the mirror, she has realized that she has two options. "I can be who Nattie wants me to be. Or it can just be Jaida Parker", she says. Jaida is convinced she made the right decision. She has already defeated one of Nattie's partners, whom she should thank for opening her eyes. Parker makes it clear that she hasn't softened. In fact, she is very close to where she wants to be. On the other hand, she finds it funny that Nattie is telling everyone that the reason she returned to NXT is Jaida, because she knows that what the Canadian is looking for is to regain the relevance she has lost. "Congratulations. You did it. You beat me, and now you are more relevant than you have been in years. And now you have a chance for the NXT Women's Championship. So it seems that we both are trying to level up. But in my case, to achieve it, I have to go to a place I've never been before. I have to finish you, Nattie, and I will. I promise you. I'll see you soon. Count on it," says Jaida to end her promo.
Emily Agard interviews Saquon Shugars backstage. Agard asks him about what happened tonight. Saquon recalls how he cleanly defeated Dion Lennox at The Great American Bash, only to receive a beating at the hands of his former DarkState teammates. Shugars makes it clear that he is a smart man and knows perfectly well that he is outnumbered. That's why he will have to find allies to help him against a faction that is back at 100%. However, he acknowledges that he has made too many enemies backstage in recent years, so few will be willing to trust him. Even so, he is willing to do whatever it takes to convince them that he has changed. And it doesn't matter who or how many join his cause, because one thing is very clear: DarkState will learn that Saquon Shugars is next, and they are not. And there's nothing sweeter than that.
Tank Ledger vs. Keanu Carver
Carver charges at Ledger against one of the corners. Tank quickly recovers to unleash a counterattack. Carver stops him with a big boot. Ledger regains control of the match to expel his opponent from the ring with a clothesline. Tank immediately launches into a suicide dive. Ledger brings his opponent back into the ring. Keanu quickly takes down Tank with a Pounce. Carver unleashes a flurry of punches on his opponent while he's on the mat. After that, he covers him. 1..2..NO.
Keanu continues punishing his rival, who he knocks down with a clothesline. Carver traps him in a painful submission hold. Ledger tries to recover, but ends up receiving a powerbomb. 1..2..NO. Tank gathers strength to unleash a counterattack. Ledger knocks down Carver with a clothesline before finishing him off with a Swanton Bomb. 1..2..NO. Tank tries to catch Keanu in a Full Nelson. Carver blocks it, but his opponent surprises him with a Saito Suplex. Keanu stops his opponent's momentum with a dropkick before finishing him off with a Spinebuster. 1..2..3.

Naraku delivers a video promo. "Tony D'Angelo, after The Great American Bash, did you think I would just accept defeat and leave it at that? You escaped with a victory, but not from my form of punishment. My ultimate weapon is to break your will and crush your spirit. You said you would go to great lengths to retain the NXT Championship. But how far will you go, Tony? The fire has already made you question your career. I have clouded your path as a champion. And there is more pain and torture in your immediate future. Tony, you have researched my career, but you still have no idea what I am capable of, including becoming NXT Champion," says the Japanese wrestler. Naraku laughs as the video comes to an end.
Tate Wilder and Kam Hendrix watch Naraku's promo on a screen in the medical room. Tate acknowledges that the Japanese is a savage. He doesn't approve of his methods, but he would love to face him. And since D'Angelo is still recovering from his injuries, Wilder wants to face Naraku next week. Kam wishes him luck, as the Japanese will destroy him. Hendrix points out that Naraku should thank Mason Rook, as without him, the former would be in top form. Kam notes that he is at 72.8% in his recovery process.
Mason Rook appears looking for Hendrix. The latter quickly hides behind Wilder. Rook is tired of Kam constantly talking about him. Tate agrees with the Brit, pointing out that Kam was talking about him a few moments ago. Annoyed, Rook threatens to leave Hendrix in a hospital bed permanently. "Right now, I'm at 68.9% recovered," says Hendrix as he steps back. "Hey, you were supposed to be my friend, Tate. Traitor!" he exclaims before leaving. Mason continues to confront him. "It's not the time or the place. I've been dealing with him forever," says Tate to Rook as the segment comes to an end.
Nattie talks with Nikkita Lyons, Layla Diggs, and Karmen Petrovic in the locker room. Nattie claims she deserves the title shot she will have tonight for the NXT Women's Championship. In fact, she is a legend who deserves everything. After praising herself, Nattie asks Diggs how she feels before her match tonight. The Canadian points out that Lyons and Petrovic will be in her corner for support. Layla, however, prefers to do this on her own. Diggs heads to the ring. Nattie accepts Layla's decision but expects Nikkita and Karmen to be in her corner in tonight's main event. Both women assure her they will be. Nattie leaves to end the segment.
Fatal Four-Way Match for a Shot at the NXT Women's North American Championship
Izzi Dame vs. Lizzy Rain vs. Thea Hail vs. Layla Diggs
The four women observe each other before starting the match. Izzi charges with Thea against one of the corners. Rain jumps on Dame's back, but she quickly gets rid of the Brit. Izzi performs a corner spear on Diggs in one of the corners. After that, she repeats the move against Thea in the opposite corner. Lizzy surprises Izzi with a faceplant. Hail and Layla end up getting rid of The Culling member.
Hail, Rain and Diggs exchange attacks and roll-ups in the center of the ring. Thea and Lizzy team up against Layla, who is eventually thrown out of the ring by Izzi. She takes down Hail and Rain with a double clothesline. Lizzy sends Thea to the outside while a returning Layla does the same to Dame. Layla catches Rain with a roll-up. 1..2..NO.
Diggs and Rain trade chops. Dame catches Lizzy from behind, but the Brit quickly takes her down. Lizzy unleashes a barrage of chops on Izzi and Layla in one of the corners. "Make It Rain!" the fans chant. Hail tries to surprise Rain from behind. The two women struggle with each other, allowing Diggs to catch them both with a double Pele Kick.
Diggs plants Dame with a facebuster, but Dame rolls to ringside to avoid being pinned. Rain launches herself at Izzi with a rope dropkick. Layla then takes them both out with a tope. Thea caps it off with a diving back senton onto the rest of her opponents. Hail climbs onto the crowd barricade to celebrate as we head into another commercial break.
Back from the break, Izzi is delivering a superplex to Lizzy. Thea and Layla simultaneously hit frog splashes on Dame and Rain, respectively. 1..2..NO. "This is awesome!" the fans chant. Thea and Layla trade attacks in the middle of the ring. Hail ducks a big boot and answers with a superkick. Thea follows up with a standing moonsault on Diggs. 1..2..NO. Izzi breaks up the pinfall.
Hail crushes Dame in one of the corners before planting Diggs with a Fisherman Buster. Thea cuts off one of Lizzy's attacks and responds with a bodyslam. She follows up with a rolling senton, then a springboard back senton. However, Izzi stops her in mid-air in an attempt to throw her out of the ring. Thea foils Dame's plans before taking out Rain and Diggs with a double diving crossbody. Hail follows up with a springboard back senton. 1..2..NO. Izzi breaks up the pin with a senton. Hail moves out of the way, causing Dame to land on Lizzy and Layla. Izzi covers them. 1..2..NO. This time, Thea breaks up the count.
Hail tries to lock in a Kimura Lock on Dame, but Layla takes them both down with a kick. Lizzy catches Thea and Dame with a double cutter. The Brit tries to hit the move on Layla as well, but Layla blocks it and responds with a Pele Kick. "NXT! NXT!" the fans chant. Diggs heads to the top rope to dive onto Rain, but Rain catches her with a cutter! 1..2..NO. Hail breaks up the pinfall.
Dame surprises Thea with a dropkick. She then levels Lizzy with a big boot before finishing her off with a Liger Bomb. 1..2..NO. Layla breaks up the count with a Penalty Kick, but Dame ducks it and answers with a chokeslam. 1..2..NO. Thea breaks up the pin. All four women are left laid out on the mat. Hail goes on the offensive against Izzi. Izzi catches Thea with a kick before planting her with a facebreaker.
Izzi looks to finish off Thea, but Lizzy stops her with a flying elbow. Layla connects with a running knee strike on the Brit. Thea then traps Diggs in a Kimura Lock. Layla powers her opponent up with one arm and drives her into one of the corners to break the hold. Layla charges in with a corner spear, but Thea gets out of the way. Diggs crashes into the turnbuckle and tumbles to ringside. Izzi catches Hail with a big boot. 1..2..NO. Lizzy breaks up the count. "This is awesome!" the fans chant.
Lizzy and Dame trade attacks in the center of the ring. Rain catches Dame with a flying headbutt before going for her finisher, but Thea cuts her off with a surprise roll-up. 1..2..NO. Hail tries to apply a Kimura Lock on the Brit, but Lizzy prevents it. Rain connects with a Thunderstruck on Hail, only for Izzi to catch Rain with a running knee strike. Both women spill to ringside. Layla capitalizes by hitting a moonsault on Thea. 1..2..3.

Reina Volcan stars in a promotional video. "When disaster strikes, it doesn't discriminate. It doesn't matter who you are or what you've done. There is no mercy. No hesitation. Tavion Heights makes his way to the ring. Tavion admits that he wasn't planning on coming out tonight, but he's spent a lot of time thinking about everything he said before NXT The Great American Bash. And he has to admit that he has been a bad brother. Heights knows he can be arrogant at times, but he truly believes he has what it takes to achieve greatness. When he arrived in NXT three years ago, he thought it wouldn't take long for him to dominate this place. Instead, he got a much-needed reality check, and he never reached the top the way he expected. That's why, when Myles Borne won the NXT North American Championship, he couldn't help but feel jealous. Because while Myles was rising, Heights felt like he was starting to be forgotten. And that's his greatest fear. He let that fear blind him. That's why he's out here tonight. He wants to apologize to Borne face-to-face. Tavion turns toward the entrance ramp, waiting for his friend to come out, but...
The Vanity Project interrupt the segment!
Jackson Drake tells Tavion he should first apologize to the man he screwed over a few weeks ago. Ricky Smokes and Brad Baylor add that Robert Stone should also apologize to Dorian Van Dux and Sean Legacy for making them believe they have even the slightest chance of taking the NXT Tag Team Championship from them. Baylor says Dux and Legacy will simply become two more names on the list of teams they've already beaten. Drake, Smokes and Baylor enter the ring. Jackson points out that Myles handed Heights a title opportunity on a silver platter, only for him to waste it. Drake claims that if he had faced Borne instead, the championship would now be in his hands. Heights is tired of listening to Jackson's whining and excuses, so he grants him a rematch. That way, he'll find out why Tavion is a human weapon. Drake cups his hand to his ear to mock Tavion, who immediately responds with a right hand. The three members of The Vanity Project launch a three-on-one assault on Heights. Suddenly, Myles Borne rushes to the ring to help his friend! The two men join forces to clear the heels from the ring. Borne and Heights embrace in the middle of the ring while The Vanity Project remain laid out on the mat. The segment comes to an end.
Romeo Moreno and Noam Dar congratulate Sean Legacy and Dorian Van Dux on their victory tonight. The Spaniard hopes they can follow their example. Dar reminds his partner that Legacy and Dux have known each other for years. By contrast, they have only recently joined forces as a team. They need to get to know each other much better—well enough to know what the other is thinking without saying a word. Romeo believes they already know each other very well. In fact, he thinks the Scotsman is thinking about potatoes right now. Dar replies that he isn't. Sean tells Romeo that Noam is right. It takes time to build chemistry as a team. Dux is convinced they'll get there. They might even end up defending the NXT Tag Team Championship against them. Legacy calms his partner down, reminding him that they first have to beat The Vanity Project. Dorian and Sean continue debating whose name should be announced first once they're champions as they walk away. "Well, Romeo. Looks like we've got a lot of work ahead of us. By the way, how do you like your potatoes?" Noam asks his partner as the segment comes to an end.
Shiloh Hill vs. Niko Vance (w/ Izzi Dame)
Shiloh catches Niko with a spinning slam as soon as the match begins. Vance quickly fires back. Niko drops Hill with a clothesline to the back of the neck. He looks to finish him with a diving headbutt, but his opponent avoids it at the last second. Shiloh heads to the top rope and connects with a diving clothesline on Vance. 1..2..NO. Hill crushes Niko in one of the corners.
Vance recovers and smashes his opponent's head into one of the turnbuckles. Shiloh surprises Vance with a lariat. 1..2..NO. Both men charge at each other once again. Shiloh catches his rival with a flying shoulder tackle. Hill climbs to the top turnbuckle. Vance shakes the ropes, causing him to lose his balance. Niko continues punishing his opponent before putting him away with a diving headbutt. 1..2..NO.
Hill tries to escape a suplex, but ends up landing flat on his back. 1..2..NO. Shiloh surprises Niko with a DDT. Hill drops Niko with a bodydrop before continuing his offense. Shiloh knocks his opponent down with a right hand before delivering a spinning senton. Hill goes looking for his mouthguard, but Tristan Angels suddenly appears wearing gloves and picks it up. Vance takes advantage of the distraction to hit a side slam. Niko then finishes him off with Cut Throat. 1..2..3.
Winner: Niko Vance
Shiloh leaves the ring and chases after Tristan, who quickly runs toward the backstage area. Meanwhile, Vance continues posing in the ring. Suddenly, a figure appears behind him and blasts him with a steel chair. Niko collapses to the mat. His attacker is Shawn Spears, who locks eyes with a shocked Izzi as the segment comes to an end.
NXT Women's Championship Match
Kendal Grey (c) (w/ Wren Sinclair) vs. Nattie (w/ Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic)
Nattie and Grey grapple as they exchange holds on the mat. Nattie slaps the champion, who immediately returns the favor. Kendal traps Nattie in a hold, but Nattie escapes with an elbow strike. Grey then slaps the Canadian. Furious, Nattie launches a counterattack. She takes Kendal down before kicking her in the back of the head. Nattie rebounds off the ropes looking for a dropkick, but the champion catches her in an Ankle Lock. The Canadian screams in pain as she crawls toward the ropes. Nattie finally rolls over and kicks the champion out of the ring.
Kendal comes face-to-face with Lyons and Petrovic. Nattie takes advantage by blindsiding Grey from behind. Nattie returns to the ring while Lyons and Petrovic threaten Kendal. Wren quickly rushes to help her friend, but the heels soon overwhelm her. Suddenly, Lola Vice appears and kicks both Nikkita and Karmen. The four women brawl all the way to the backstage area. We head into the final commercial break of the night.
Back from the break, Nattie is in control of the match. She traps the champion in a painful submission hold. Grey throws several elbows to escape, but is soon taken down with a lariat. 1..2..NO. The two women begin trading punches. Grey kicks Nattie in the head from the apron before connecting with a Missile Dropkick. Kendal follows up with a series of suplexes.
Nattie catches the champion in a sleeper hold. Kendal escapes the hold, only to be taken down by another lariat. 1..2..NO. Nattie looks to lock in the Sharpshooter, but the champion counters into a roll-up. 1..2..NO. Nattie avoids being trapped in an Ankle Lock by kicking her opponent in the face before cinching in a grounded sleeper hold. Grey escapes, prompting Nattie to transition into an armbar.
Kendal ducks a lariat and answers with a back fist. Grey heads to the top rope looking for a Missile Dropkick. Nattie moves just enough to catch her in mid-air and immediately applies a Sharpshooter. The champion screams in pain. Grey crawls toward the ropes to force the break. The two women exchange roll-ups until Kendal catches the Canadian with Shades of Grey. 1..2..3.
Winner and STILL NXT Women's Champion: Kendal Grey
Kendal celebrates in the ring while Nattie watches from the entrance ramp. Jaida Parker approaches the Canadian and gets in her face. Nikkita Lyons and Karmen Petrovic try to blindside Parker from behind, but she effortlessly knocks them both out. Parker turns back to Nattie and promises that she's going to finish her off. Meanwhile, in the ring, Grey finds herself surrounded by Lola Vice, Kelani Jordan and Kali Armstrong, who stand on the apron with their eyes fixed on the biggest prize in the NXT women's division. Kendal raises her championship in front of them as the show comes to a close.
