Darby Allin and MJF have been involved in one of the most prominent rivalries of All Elite Wrestling in 2026. "The Devil" lost the company's World Championship in a memorable match, with Allin defeating him decisively in a matter of seconds to surprise the entire world. After that feat, Darby had a brief but intense reign, defending the title up to seven times in just 39 days before ultimately losing it to MJF.

A month and a half later, "The Devil" took a moment to reflect on his rivalry with Allin. And, although he still despises him for his particular - and dangerous - life philosophy, he can't help but give him credit for his determination and for having a reign that will go down in history as one of the best.

"When it comes to Darby Allin, people say we have incredible chemistry," MJF said in an interview for Undisputed. "All I feel towards him is pure disdain. I guess that's what makes us special. I'm the rich guy some might call pompous, although I prefer to say I'm confident. He's that little grunge punk who likes living in cars, skateboarding, and being weird. Like Mick Foley told him (at Double or Nothing): 'Do it for the weirdos.' And indeed, he's a very weird guy. But a big part of our fans are also odd people, so they can relate to him."

"You see that guy facing some of the best wrestlers in the world week after week, and as much as it pains me to admit it, Darby's reign as champion will go down in history as one of the best of all time. It was very different. People talk about champions who always show up and accept any challenge; that's something no one can take away from him. Now, was it foolish? Did he burn the candle at both ends and end up facing me half-dead? Yes, it was truly foolish. But I'll give the kid credit. He may not have much brain, but he's got plenty of heart," he stated.
