All Elite Wrestling announced the first official match for AEW Redemption during the broadcast of the special episode of AEW Dynamite: Beach Break, aired last night at The BayCare Sound in Clearwater, Florida. Willow Nightingale surprised fans with an unexpected return, earning a shot at the Women's World Championship after emerging victorious from a Casino Gauntlet Match.
Athena and Maya World started the match looking for a quick victory. However, the third participant, Skye Blue, soon appeared with a kendo stick to use against her rivals. Athena quickly disposed of her by throwing her into the metal stairs. With Blue temporarily out of action, Athena and World resumed their personal battle.
After failing to submit Maya, Athena proposed an alliance to Skye, but the Triangle of Madness member refused. It wasn't long before Mina Shirakawa made her entrance as the fourth participant. The Japanese wrestler took control of the match until the arrival of STARDOM star Rina. She dominated the situation until Julia Hart entered, using a trash can lid to attack the other participants.
Hart and Blue joined forces to attack not only their rivals but also the security team, and even Justin Roberts. The action unfolded both in the ring and ringside, with Mercedes Moné and Thekla watching the match closely. At that moment, Thunder Rosa appeared to take control. The Mexican wrestler used the elements introduced by Blue and Hart to punish her opponents.
Athena surprised with an O-Face to Rosa and Shirakawa, coming close to victory. It was then that the surprise return of Willow Nightingale took place, who had been cleared to compete again. Willow charged against her rivals with overwhelming force to finally surprise Julia with the Babe With the Powerbomb.
After the match, Thekla ran into the ring to attack Nightingale from behind. Suddenly, the AEW Women's World Champion saw The Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) getting rid of Hart and Blue with a parallel powerslam. Despite this, Thekla prepared to finish off Willow with her belt, but Moné prevented it with a sneak attack. "The CEO" also attacked Nightingale to close the segment posing over her two potential rivals in AEW: All In London.
