AMC and TNA+ aired last night episode number 1,147 of TNA Thursday Night iMPACT!, recorded from the Broadview Center in Albany, New York. The show, the twenty-seventh of the AMC era, featured several matches and segments of interest, highlighting Xia Brookside's victory over Léi Yǐng Lee in a no disqualification match to retain the Knockouts World Championship in the main event of the night.
- The Broken Hardys ("Broken" Matt Hardy and Brother Nero) defeated The Great Hands (Jason Hotch and John Skyler) (with Tasha Steelz) to retain the TNA World Tag Team Championships in the show's opener. Skyler received the impact of two Twist of Fate from the champions before Jeff Hardy/Brother Nero finished him off with a Swanton Bomb, sealing the match result.
- Gia Miller interviewed Léi Yǐng Lee backstage. "Slammiversary was painful. I lost my championship and I lost someone I called a friend. Xia wanted the championship more than friendship. Tonight there will be no excuses, no Angel Warriors. Just a fight. That championship must be with a true warrior. Tonight I will RECLAIM that championship," said the Chinese wrestler before leaving.
- Frankie Kazarian presented a new edition of The King's Speech. After mocking the city, Kazarian introduced his guest for the night. A man who achieved a monumental victory at Slammiversary: Moose. Kazarian asked him about his match at the PPV. Moose recalled that he has worked for TNA for a decade. He has faced legends and champions. But that night he experienced something he had never felt before. The presence of his wife and son made that moment the most emotional of his life. Fortunately, both are fine, allowing him to think about his next step, which is to dominate TNA, as he has done since he arrived at the company. That's why he is "The Face of the Franchise."
Kazarian acknowledged that Moose has dominated the company. As for being the "face" of TNA, yes, surely his name is in that conversation. "I'm not in the conversation. I AM the conversation", Moose said. "Are you stupid?" Frankie asked before reminding him that he was in the presence of a "king." Moose asked him where his crown was. He then pointed out that in the last decade he has seen talents come and go from the company while he turned it into his playground. Frankie, on his part, listed his achievements, including being a "TNA Original," Grand Slam Champion, and, of course, being the damn king of this place. Moose made it clear that he respects him as the pillar of TNA he is. However, he also noticed a detail. In all these years, they have never faced each other one on one. That's why he proposed a dream match: an unprecedented fight between two pillars of TNA. "Yes! Yes! Yes!" chanted the fans. Kazarian, however, was not interested in it.
At that moment, A.J. Francis and Expressions interrupted the segment. A.J. Francis confronted Moose, claiming that he was afraid of him. Moose, in turn, proposed a one-on-one match. Expressions responded on behalf of his partner to accept the former world champion's idea. However, the fight would not take place that night, but the next week. Kazarian made the fight official before ordering his theme music to end this edition of "The King's Speech."
- Elijah delivered a brief backstage promo to share his main goal, which is to win the TNA World Championship, his Promised Land.
- Indi Hartwell defeated "Vicious" Vicki Venuto to advance to the second round of the Knockouts Television Championship tournament. Hartwell applied a Hurt Donut for the victory.
TNA provided a medical update on several of its talents:
- Fabian Aicher starred in a promotional video. In it, he recalled his childhood and how he discovered his passion for wrestling. As a TNA talent, the Italian wants to prove that he is one of the best wrestlers in the world. Aichner stated his intention to conquer the X-Division Championship. To do so, he wants to emulate great figures of the company like Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, or Leon Slater. Fabian made it clear that he is not intimidated by Cedric Alexander, hoping to face him one-on-one. Aicher concluded his promo by stating his intention to show the world that he is number one.
- Ricky Sosa and Leon Slater defeated The System (Brian Myers and Bear Bronson) and The Righteous (Vincent and Ducht) in a three-way tag team match. Sosa hit a flying uppercut on Bronson for the victory.
- Ryan Nemeth approached Santino Marella and Daria Rae backstage. Ryan was aware that KC Navarro would come out that night to address the fans, and he was convinced he would say horrible things about his older brother. Marella suggested he leave things as they were. Rae, on her part, gave him permission to go out and say whatever he wanted. Santino opposed the idea, but Daria stood firm on it. The Director of Operations stated that Ryan had every right to defend his family. The younger Nemeth thanked her before leaving the place.
- Jody Threat defeated Gabby Forza to advance to the second round of the Knockouts Television Championship tournament. Threat applied a Pop Shove It for the victory.
- Mustafa Ali starred in a brief segment in front of a mirror as the TNA International Champion put on his tie. "You're right. A change is needed," he said to a person who was never shown on camera. Ali revealed that this change would take place next week.
- KC Navarro made his way to the ring to address the fans. Navarro acknowledged that last week he received a harsh lesson. He was attacked from behind by a man he respected. A man he considered his hero. And he didn't know why. Did he disappoint Nic Nemeth? Did he do something wrong? Upset, Navarro went straight to the TNA World Champion to demand that he meet him in the ring and explain to him face to face, like a man, why he attacked him. Nic Nemeth didn't take long to respond to the call. Nic assured that there was a moment when he saw Navarro as someone special. And he really wanted to push him forward. But then he realized something: that he doesn't have what it takes. Navarro made it clear that he does have it. In fact, it was his younger brother who lacked it, whom he defeated last week. Suddenly, Ryan Nemeth stormed into the ring to attack Navarro from behind. Nic climbed into the ring and knelt next to Navarro. The champion pointed out that KC did not deserve to be in his shadow, like any other talent on the roster. After that, he demanded that he forget about his family, delete his phone number, and leave him alone. The Nemeths made their way back to backstage to end the segment.
- Xia Brookside over Léi Yǐng Lee in a no disqualification match to retain the Knockouts World Championship in the main event of the night. Xia applied the Darkside on a metal chair for the victory.
