AJ Styles has made it clear that he has no interest in discrediting AEW just to please WWE fans. In an interview, he explained that he doesn't see the point in attacking wrestlers who, like him, are working hard to make their shows successful.

Styles spoke specifically about Kenny Omega and questioned why someone who helped build AEW would want to leave the company. For him, Omega's loyalty makes sense because he has invested years of effort in the project, just like he strives to give his best in the company he works for.

The veteran also made it clear that his stance is not about defending WWE as a brand, but the people who work there. He explained that his focus has always been to protect his colleagues, both men and women, because he understands the effort it takes to put on a wrestling show every week.

I will defend them because I know they are giving their all to offer a great show. I'm not going to criticize AEW because those guys are doing the same thing. They are trying to stand out.

"It's like in my case," he commented. "Would we ever see AJ Styles in AEW? Why? I like the company I work for, regardless of what others may think. My job is to give my best for the company I work for. It doesn't matter which company I work for, my job is to give my best for it. And that's what I'm going to do. That's who I am."

Styles emphasized that he has no problem with fans preferring one company over another, but he does have an issue with unwarranted disrespect towards wrestlers. In his opinion, AEW and WWE are different companies, not personal enemies of anyone, and those in the ring deserve equal respect.
